Just tried Cruda for the first time and am glad we finally did. We were welcomed by Jorge, who was our server. From greeting to close, Jorge was an incredible host. Incredible service! If you like seafood, Cruda does not miss the mark. I had the ceviche tostadas and loved them. I'm not a big fan of pineapple, but I gave the pineapple agua fresca a shot and it turns out I am a big fan of pineapple agua frescas - at least from Cruda! The place is really cool inside and has a fun feel to it and while it was a little early for a drink, definitely seems like a fun place to have one, so we'll be back for dinner one of these evenings.

This place is way too noisy, with not one acoustical item to absorb the sound. Its lack luster feel is not a draw either. The best thing I can say its is a restaurant option downtown, but is just ok. Nothing there made even think to come back. It just seemed that they put minimal effort into the food. The chips were like fried cardboard and the salsa was just ground up tomatoes. You can go but I'm going to steer clear.

I can't believe it took me so long to try this place. Service was great. Made a reservation but didn't need one since it wasn't busy at all on a week night. The decor is very nautical, I felt like I left Tucson. We shared the black salsas aguachile molcajete with ahi tuna and the mar y pina. The seafood was fresh and everything was so delicious. That pineapple was loaded with fish! I felt that the portions were generous for the price and the presentation was a 10/10.

We arrived in DT Tucson on a Thursday night after driving from CA, craved seafood and this was one of the few places that were walking to us that were still going to be opened by the time we walked there. They close at 8pm but they were still offering last call for food at 8pm, that is very flexible and generous in my humble Californian's opinion. Our server (the only one) was super nice and cool. He was so chilled. The place was pretty empty by the time we arrived, only two other parties beside us. We ordered a variety of dishes because we were starving from the drive. Food came out fairly promptly and everything tasted so good! We especially liked the octopus tacos al pastor style, drenched in their achiote & chili guajillo pineapple juice sauce. It's very saucy. We also got a shrimp ceviche tostada and tostada campechana (shrimp and octopus). This one though, it didn't say raw shrimp and there were mostly cooked shrimp but a few shrimps there were totally raw.. They were very generous with the portion. The quesadillas with shrimp and cheese in Oaxaca cheese was sooo good! I think this was my favorite! We also had Garlic fish grilled, it was okay, a bit oily. Overall, good food, service was great, and the vibe was chilled!

Cruda is the only place in Tucson where I've found truly good ceviche. But if you prefer a traditional cook for your seafood dishes, I would also recommend the arroz marinero (don't let the look of it get you, it's delicious!) or the molcajete camaron bandera. Make sure you're patient, the service can be a little slow, but still totally worth it.

I've been multiple times and the food is easily the best Mexican seafood in Tucson. Me and my daughter Lovett, we've had the Molcajete a la brasa (amazing, highly recommend), their chipotle, seafood pasta, multiple different tostadas. I have never been let down. It is so good.

Fun atmosphere, food & drinks and service was good. The sauce on the oysters definitely got some heat to it, enjoyed them very much. Affordable price and tasty drinks.

The ceviche, Camaron ( shrimp) culichi and the red snapper tacos were delicious . The side of rice was bland and the fries were just ok. The music is loud and so conversations can be a little hard without or without a hearing aid. Service was pleasant. Not pictured but my favorite item on the menu was the choco flan.definitely a must visit again to check out more of their items. Public parking garage right across and not too expensive.

Seafood with a kick. Service and ambience: This is clean and nicely decorated restaurant in a heart of Tucson. We received five star service from all the staff members. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. We were the last guests before closing time, yet we were not rushed and received all the attention we needed. Food and drinks: The food was one of the tastiest Mexican style seafoods we have tried so far! Great combination of flavours and fresh ingredients. The seasoning was the hero. Great balance of spices and citrus notes. You must try their ceviche and hot molcajete! Simply delicious. As for the drinks, they offer set cocktails menu but you can opt for a beer too. Pricing: As usual, seafood prices are on a higher end, however, the quality of dishes at this restaurant justifies the price tags.

I went for lunch and got the fish and chips. The service was really good the guy who took my order was friendly and attentive. The place was nice and had a good atmosphere. I spent $12 on my meal and I got my money's worth. I will go back.

If you're into seafood, definitely try this place out! First off, the parking garage is walking distance to it; second the food is amazing that I would love to try the rest of their menu. I had to order a to go meal it was that good. Lastly, their drinks are HUGE; at least the one that I ordered. I had to share my drink because I couldn't finish it myself. I went on a Wednesday night (we're a party of 6) and I think more servers are needed only because we had to ask or remind our server about what's missing from what's ordered. Other than that, the food, drinks, decor and good vibes are what will make me come back again.

These Pastries Should Probably Be Illegal…read more Prep & Pastry has been serving Tucson since 2014, and after eating here, I completely understand why they've built such a loyal following. This review is only about the pastries because the rest of their menu deserves an entirely separate review. The first thing I noticed was how incredibly light and airy everything was. Every bite felt fresh, fluffy, and perfectly balanced. The frosting wasn't overly sweet, and nothing tasted heavy or overwhelming. As I've gotten older, I've become much more conscious about what I eat. Surprisingly, these pastries never leave me with that "I shouldn't have done that" feeling. They're indulgent without being excessive. Now let's address the real issue... I always buy two. Not because I'm planning ahead. Because I know exactly what's going to happen if I don't. I'll eat one in the parking lot, sit there for a minute pretending I'm satisfied, then make what is almost certainly an illegal U-turn and head back inside for another. At this point, I believe the owners should stand trial in a savory Food Court of Law. Dun... Dun... "In the Criminal Food Justice System, pastry-based crimes are considered especially delicious. In Tucson, the dedicated foodies who investigate these sugary felonies are members of an elite squad known as the Special Pastry Unit. These are their stories." Prep & Pastry is guilty of making "I'll just have one" the biggest lie you'll tell yourself all week. Whether you're stopping by for breakfast, brunch, or simply because life is better with a great pastry, this place delivers. WIT Inspection Score: -- Truly Among the Best.

We assumed it would come iced, which is our mistake for assuming. When our order came out, the matcha was hot. We went inside and politely asked if there is any chance we could get it iced instead since there was no option on the iPad. The owner herself took the drink and remade it, which we appreciated, but her attitude toward us after was unnecessary. She told us that next time we should order directly with them because we just "wasted their cups" and so on. We apologized again and explained that we would have selected iced if the iPad had actually given us that option, but she didn't really acknowledge what we were saying. What made the experience more disappointing is that I work in coffee myself, so I understand what it's like when things get busy. I chose Barista Del Barrio out of all the coffee shops in the area specifically because I'm Latino and wanted to support a Latino-owned business. I even tipped when I placed the order on the iPad, so I was disappointed with how we were treated over something as simple as an ordering-system issue.
