    Carnitas Taco Plate

Had the carnitas taco plate w/their special margarita. It didn't disappoint, it was so good and seasoned to perfection.

Killer tacos and bowls. Great portion size and seasoning. Friendly staff and clean restaurant, convenient location. Try it out!

Baja Taco was really good! The chips were fresh and crispy, and the guacamole was creamy with great flavor. I loved the cheese on top--it made it even better. Simple, fresh, and tasty.

For a little hole in the wall restaurant it wasn't that bad smell place with tables and chairs casual ambiance. The service was self serve so the only service was the person cooking or making drinks . The food was ok not the best but when you're hungry it's good

Baja Fish Taco, Chipotle Chicken Taco & Ground Beef Taco (taco sampler) with a refreshing vodka soda.

This food was delicious and drink was refreshing. The server suggested I try the trio taco sampler if I wanted some different tastes so I already knew the service was off to a GREAT start. The restaurant itself is located right next to the Country Music Hall of Fame and had both indoor and outdoor seating. It was the perfect setting for a post-museum bite. The tacos were absolutely AMAZING.

Bajo Taco is adjacent to and in the same building as the Country Music Hall of Fame and is just as convenient and offers better food choices than the museum cafe (which I admit I did not try but cmon who are we kidding here). Avoid the watered down Horchata and get the Sexto Salad with smoked pork - mouthwateringly tender and blends incredibly well with the fresh spring greens/romaine, guacamole, steamed long grain rice, chips, radish slices and coquita cheese. Every bite is a symphony of flavors - it will not disappoint. That's all

Super convenient made to order meals at the Country Music Hall of Fame Museum. Located near the gift shops on the first floor, this was just what I needed after touring the museum.

    Carnita & Chipotle Chicken tacos

Stopped in before Saturday's hockey game and the place was packed. The line moved slow at first but picked up quick. The staff was friendly and killed the rush. I had ordered the combo plate with Carnita and Chipotle chicken tacos at $14. While it's a little pricier than I like to pay for tacos that's everywhere now and not just here. Service was quick and the food was amazing. Definitely a go to when I want tacos in the area.

    Pretty good deal

This is an easy place to pop into after touring Hall of Fame or other Nashville sites. It's clean, the food was tasty and it's busy. Order and pay at the counter, then take a number and they'll bring your food. My guest and I both liked our dishes. I got the Two Taco daily special for $14 that comes with small sides of rice and beans. The tacos were presented nicely but could use a bit more of the sides. It's enough to satisfy and get you back to seeing the Nashville sites. Drinks are bottled or ice water- no fountain. It's crowded inside as tables are close together, but there is an outdoor area too. All in all, a nice stop and since we get a little discount for being CMHOF members we will probably return.

What's not to like? $7 pre-show Margaritas before concerts hockey/ everything? Give them a try!

Serviceable lunch right across the street from the convention center. The food didn't blow my mind, but it wasn't trash either. Fed me with something that wasn't disgustingly greasy. I had a beef hard shell, chicken soft shell and rice. It was just enough food for what I was looking for. Also tried an Agua Fresca which was refreshing on the hot day. Staff was quick, making the line move fast. The wait time to get food was also fine. Not super speedy, but not slow.

    Heather G.

Was in town for a work conference at the music city center. This restaurant is directly across the street from it. They have seating outside and some inside. For the lunch rush on a hot day, there is definitely not enough room inside for everyone. Tried the fish taco and the hot chicken taco. The tacos are small - street taco size, so if you come hungry plan on 3-4 tacos. I definitely recommend both. Very tasty! I also liked that the tortillas are also fresh! There are not any fountain drinks, so be prepared to buy a bottled drink. (Photo is from my coworker as I was already half way done with mine)

I don't think I've ever had a restaurant ask that before! He was also super attentive and kept our waters refilled so quickly throughout the meal. One thing we really liked was the atmosphere. We loved all the fun live music spots around Nashville too, but this was a nice change of pace if you're looking for more of a chill, relaxed vibe where you can easily enjoy conversation during dinner. We both ordered the asada tacos and they were SO delicious, exactly what we needed. The rice on the side tasted incredibly fresh too, and the tomato and corn mixed into it were the perfect addition. I have to admit, I was pleasantly surprised. The guacamole and chips were the standout of the meal. The guacamole was incredibly fresh, packed with flavor, and served alongside warm, freshly made tortilla chips that were hard to stop eating. We also ordered the esquites, since I'm a huge fan of authentic elote preparado. The flavors were delicious and well-balanced. My only suggestion would be to serve the esquites warm, I promise it truly takes the dish to another level. As for the tacos, the presentation was beautiful. The Al Pastor tacos looked fantastic, but they leaned a little too sweet for my taste and were missing some of the bold, smoky flavors I associate with traditional Al Pastor, like guajillo chiles, oregano, and other aromatic spices. On the other hand, the chicken tacos were excellent. They were juicy, well-seasoned, and flavorful enough to shine without needing much from the toppings. To top it all off, our server was friendly, attentive, and helped make the entire experience enjoyable. Overall, Bakersfield exceeded my expectations. While it may not replace the authentic taco shops of the Southwest, it's definitely a solid choice in Nashville, especially if you're craving flavorful Mexican-inspired food before a night out.

I've loved Ford Fry establishments for a long time, though his Nashville outposts tend to pale in comparison to the Atlanta originals, and Little Rey kind of fits that pattern. Little Rey serves Tex-Mex in a casual setting next to the Vanderbilt campus. You order at the counter and seat yourself, making this an ideal spot for a cheap, casual lunch or dinner with a crew. There's a dedicated private parking lot (almost unheard of in this area!) and lots of great indoor and outdoor seating. I came in the early evening on a weekday for dinner and it wasn't too crowded. My chips and piping hot queso came out immediately, and my chicken al carbon taco was ready by the time I got back from the salsa bar. The salsa bar is free and amazing: 6 cold dips and 1 hot dip, full of freshness and flavor. I opted for two of the mild sauces, which were super fresh tasting but not spicy whatsoever (that was on me and my choice). One small note: the self-serve setup made the salsa bar a little messy and unkempt, and I wish it had been tidied up a bit between customers. I came in craving great chips and salsa and on that point Little Rey absolutely delivered. The chips were thin, crispy, salty, and delicious. The queso was super hot and liquidy, not spicy. Perfection. The taco itself was more of a letdown: flour tortilla was cold, chicken was a bit dry, and without the addition of salsa it felt lacking in flavor. They're supposed to be well known for chicken here, so that was disappointing. For dessert I got the vanilla soft serve with chocolate and crushed buñuelos on top. Smooth, creamy, with perfect toppings. The large was a bit too much, but at $5 it was an unbeatable price for a tasty dessert. My whole meal, dessert included, was under $20, which was such a pleasant and affordable change of pace to the surrounding area. Service was friendly, kind, and fast. I'd come back for the chips and queso and soft serve alone, but I'll keep my expectations low for the other items.
