Local coffee shop that's been around for a while, but they've really refreshed and revamped the space over the past couple of years. The atmosphere is super cute and cozy, making it a great spot to meet up with friends for coffee or settle in with a laptop and get some work done. They offer a wide variety of drink options including creative coffee specials, smoothies, and teas. I'm a big fan of the Tiger Shark and the Banana Foster, but I've branched out a few times and have enjoyed several of their other drinks as well. There's always something new to try. Service is quick and efficient, even when there's a line, and the staff are consistently friendly and helpful. If you're standing there debating what to order, they're always happy to make suggestions. It's definitely more of a coffee spot than a full café. They usually have muffins and a few light pastries to go with your drink, but it's not the place you'd go if you're looking for a full meal. 4 stars for the coffee, smoothies, clean and pretty venue, and for being dog friendly. But 3 stars for service. I visited last September and had a great experience but this recent visit, the staff wasn't very friendly. They weren't rude, just not warm or welcoming. No hellos and thank yous. Just "what can I get you?" And literally that's it. I wasn't even sure my payment was done because the lady taking my order just walked away. Just weird. Hopefully they were just having a bad day. However, their coffee is worth a return visit. My favorite is their Drops of Jupiter which is vanilla, cinnamon and honey. The cafe has a very nice, welcoming, beachy vibe. There are cute gifts and nice looking pastries- im not sure if i just ordered the wrong drinks but my brothers drink was very sour (something to due with mango and strawberry) and mine was matcha. The flavor for the matcha was very blunt and a bit too bitter despite adding flavor, it tasted a bit too healthy (xd) but the service was pretty good, no complaints about any of the workers. read more

Stopped by here on a Monday morning and there was no line. The staff were super friendly. The store is nicely decorated with beach/water themed paintings and artwork. There's also 2 mini claw machines and lots of local items for sale. The overall vibe was calm and peaceful. We ordered the wave crasher latte with oatmilk, cold brew, and the everything and Asiago bagels. The latte was pretty sweet but I enjoyed it. Thank you Stir It Up for caffeinating me while we watched over seven kids on my last beach trip! For the perfect beach day, I recommend going to the Publix next door, grabbing a pub sub and some chips, and then head over to Stir It Up for a hot latte, and iced coffee for later. I love this coffee shop! It's probably my favorite one on the island. The people who work here are extremely kind and the drinks are tasty. If you come between 12-1 they have frappy hour where you can get a frappe for half off. My friends got the matcha one and the mint chocolate one. We didn't care much for the matcha flavor, but really loved the peppermint patty-ness of the mint chocolate one. I ordered an iced matcha latte which was incredible. It was a bit sweet which I really enjoyed. Lexus made my matcha for me and did an amazing job. My other friend ordered their special snicker's coffee drink which was so delicious. There is a lot of seating available inside. They're extremely inclusive here and have great drinks. There is a single gender neutral restroom here. Came here each morning during a trip to Emerald Isle. They have a ton of creative drink options, and it's easy to customize drinks with your own flavoring. I think it's more of a creative fancy coffee/drink spot versus hot black drip coffee kind of spot. Coffee: I got the iced wave crasher (I think that's what it's called) the first time, which was so good. After that, I was stuck on the frappes which didn't have any dairy or milk. They were cold, sweet, and refreshing for the hot vacation days. The prices are a little higher than your fast food or chain places, maybe around $7 for a large specialty iced coffee. But, always good to support local businesses and tastes good. Environment: They were always busy any time between 9-2, but the line moves super quick and the drinks are ready very fast. There were also always mixtures of people working at the tables or socializing in the groups they arrived with, but it was always pretty quiet. They sell some branded and NC merchandise, unique art, beans, and other things. It's also a perfect location for people visiting because it's next to Food Lion, the ABC store, and Giovanni's Bagels a bit further down the plaza. So we are exploring our first COVID- 19 era vacation to a beautiful beach town called Emerald Isle. We tried this coffee shop yesterday and yes you guessed it right. None of us got coffee. LOL. But that is ok because we were looking for some smoothies and frappes. I am It sure what my smoothie was called but it was yummy!! Packed full of protein and fruit. It was smooth, tasted, and filling. Mine was by lunch so having a good lunch is important. I was satisfied. My frappe lover in the family said she needed more caramel in her frappe so we couldn't give the full 5 stars. Yet us snort how lovers were full and pleased. My wife, brother in law and myself stopped in here for a drink and snack while waiting for the time for our key pick up for the rental house at Emerald Isle. This place is located in a strip mall with the Food Lion. The store is very neat and clean. The lady that was running the place we were there was very nice and told us some things about the island and gave us a map for us to take. We had coffee, a smoothie and an apple bear claw. The coffee and bear claw were very good. The smoothie was not frozen like I was used to... it was easy to drink with a straw but still good. There is local artist art work on the walls which I thought was very good and it speaks to the involvement of the shop with the community. Give it a try if you are looking for some coffee! read more

We had the special which was the blueberry strudel frappe and a tiger shark frappe (mocha and raspberry) and this place was delicious!

If you love bitter coffee and servers, this is the perfect spot for wasting time and money.

I came here because I thought the latte art in all the pictures was really cool! The inside of this place is cute. It seems like a place where mostly locals hang out. There were 4 other people in the place and they all clearly knew each other, and as vacationers we felt a little awkward. I got the Hippie Honey Latte and while it tasted awesome, there was no coffee art as promised by the yelp pictures. My hubs got the cafe americano which was good, but nothing really special. We sat at a table by the window and there were dead bugs all over the ledge in the corners, which was not all that inviting.
