I was easily talked into a gluten free muffin and a cup of coffee made the way I like it. I am not focused on gluten free food, but the muffin was fantastic. Let me start by saying I've never actually been to this bakery so I can't yet give a 5 star rating, but I've had their cookies at various events and have never ever been disappointed. Their oatmeal cream pies are incredible. Who knew that something gluten free could be that yummy?! I actually have to walk away to keep from eating an entire box, and I'm not the only one. I have a baked goods obsession, particularly for donuts. However, I recently had to give up gluten, and therefore many of my favorite goodies. Truly incredible bakery. I have celiac disease so it's really a relief to know that this bakery is totally gluten-free and they know what that means. Bake me Happy is by far the best bakery in Columbus!! I don't have a gluten allergy but any time I want a baked good I go there :) I have brought a bunch of stuff to my aunt who lives out of state who can't have gluten and now when I visit she'll ask me to get some! I bought a chocolate confetti cake for the holidays for my gluten free in laws and everyone said it was very good. I did not have any. I went back to this place to get another cake or pie but they did not have any so I got some brownies, peanut butter cookies and chocolate chip cookies for myself and my fiance. I am not gluten free and neither is my fiancé. For our taste, everything tasted like sand paper. Very Dry. We could definitely tell the difference from what we are used to. Went for Nostalgia Treats Day, and it was slammed. With good reason, the treats were amazing, the wait staff was happy, nice, and having fun. They have a tempting femme board game night on Sunday. There was plenty of seating, it wasn't terribly loud even with all the people in there. And everything is gluten free. The King Dongs are delicious as is their Zebra Cake Latte. read more

I loved zebra cakes and all things sweet growing up, but during my early 20s I developed a gluten allergy and I had to give up zebra cakes and many of my other favorite baked goods. Well a few amazing gluten free bakeries have popped up around Columbus and I no longer have to give up my favorite baked goods - I stopped in to bake me happy for the first time this week and it amazing! WOW!! This place is incredible!! First time stopping in today. I bought the Oatmeal Cream Clouds, Donut Muffin,Zebra Cake, Salted Butterscotch Blondie, and Coffee Cake Muffin. The Oatmeal Cream Cloud and Zebra Cake were by far better than there nostalgic competitors. The Donut Muffin and Coffee Cake Muffin had both amazing texture and flavor. Last but not least the the Butterscotch Blondie was incredibly rich, chewy, moist and flavorful. I really cant say enough good things about this place. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. Yikes! I have a gluten allergy, so I was happy to find this place while visiting. Being able to have baked sweets is a real treat for someone like me. Unfortunately, my stomach blew up like a balloon just after consuming some of their brownies and I suffered through all the symptoms of gluten consumption that I usually do--brain fog, exhaustion, etc... for the rest of the day. Clearly there was some cross contamination. Very frustrating. Definitely not worth the brownies. read more

As a recently diagnosed celiac, I had my eye on this bakery for a while. We happened to be downtown today and decided to stop by. It was 30 minutes before closing on a Sunday. The chairs were all on top of tables indicating it was not ok to order coffee and sit so I immediately decided to just order treats to go. The lady working the counter seemed less than pleased that we were there. I had to speak to her before she spoke back. I almost left without a purchase but a man can over and walked me through what was left for the day. He was very kind but I felt very unwelcomed. Stopped in this morning, when going through the neighborhood. As reported, they have Zebra Cakes; large, cream filled oatmeal cookies; chocolate dipped chocolate cakes with marshmallow interiors; basically, everything that will delight a child's palate and ignite those glorious childhood memories. Being older, now, I chose a "simple" current scone. It was delicious! I would definitely make this a destination point for scones in my neighborhood! This place is great! I'm not gluten-free and usually am not a fan of the substitutes, but somehow they make everything delicious! My favorite are their savory scones, but I've enjoyed all of their food that I've tried. They serve awesome coffee too (my first time trying Thunderkiss and it's fantastic - big fan of Stauf's too and haven't yet had Ramble). I live a few blocks away and they have been 'soft open' all week. Everyone working there is very friendly, and Letha, one of the co-owners, is great as well! After a recent move to Merion Village, I discovered this amazing little bakery (and am beyond disappointed I never knew about it before). As a person with Celiac disease, eating gluten free is much more than just a "fad diet" for me. Sure, there are a ton of great gluten free options these days- especially in Columbus- but the treats at Bake Me Happy truly standout from the crowd. Delicious doesn't even begin to describe it. I've been a weekly visitor for the past few months and truly every. single. thing. is absolutely heavenly. And not just out of this world "for gluten free" - its just outstanding. Period.
