My favorite. peanut butter filled w chichi dango

Freshest mochi in town with local flavors like Kauai Kulolo stuffed Chi Chi Dango Mochi or Kulolo butter mochi. I visited them at the Pearl AT kalauao event on wednesday evening. They can be found at their location in Aiea, check out their instagram for the latest times. I like that their mochi has a local flavor and the mochi itself is not too sweet and so soft and fresh!

Their stuff is so good and I can't make it myself so I have to pay the price. They make like a mochi topped cheesecake type parfait topped with fresh fruit and mochi. So far that's my favorite. Today we got butter mochi topped with almond cookie crumbles and mochi mango bread that we haven't cut into yet.

I've been a die hard follower of Bake You A Smile. I love her mochi! My friend got me addicted and I needed to have it regularly. My favorite is her kulolo or kulolo haupia. Honestly, everything is so good! She recently moved to the old Aiea Florist location in Aiea. While she is not open everyday, she does have pop ups at her store and at other locations. Follow her on Instagram for the most up to date information on her menu and where you can find where she will be. Her mochi is soft, but it could use more filling. Overall, very consistent.

Decided to try bake you a smile as they were at two locations on Saturday 8/16 (Nordstrom and for a Maui fundraiser at American flooring). I opted for the nordstrom location since it was closer to me. They were located on the first floor and had a short line. Payment was either by cash or venmo. I got 3 items and it came out to around $30 for all 3 items. The owner could have been a little friendlier, but maybe thats just her personality. There was a handful of different types of mochi laid out on the table and you just tell them which one you want and they'll pack it for you - They ended up packing me the wrong item and i only noticed when i got home. I didnt pay much attention when i was there since i was distracted with trying to venmo them and holding my dog at the time. I tried to message them on instagram to let them know but they did not respond back but looked at the message. They even posted several times throughout the day and said it was a slow day for them on instagram but yet they did not even respond back to my message if i'm able to swap out the mochi for the correct one and drive all the way back to the mall. No one at my house eats peanut butter and luckily no one has a peanut allergy either. Luckily i was meeting some friends that night and just gave it away. The mochi texture itself is on the softer side, but theres more mochi than filling. It could probably last a few days without getting hard. I also got some of the assorted butter mochi but the crusted/top parts of the mochi was a little soft/soggy. 0 stars for customer service and 3 stars for the mochi itself. It's decent and worth a try.

Your one stop shop for your mochi craving! This place is located behind Costco Waipio, across from Hopaco! It's best to follow them on IG @bakeyouasmile to find out when their next pop up is! This is actually their commercial kitchen where all the yummy mochi is made. They pop open a tent in their parking lot to sell their stuffed chi chi dango, butter mochi, & infamous kulolo rice with haupia and mochi balls! I've been coming here since the pandemic began for all my mochi cravings! They're always coming up with new mochi and butter mochi flavors and everything I've tried has been so good!! Here are some things I've tried: 1. Ube Oreo Butter Mochi with ube chi chi dango stuffed with Oreo cream cheese combo ($7). If you love ube and Oreo, this combo is for you! 2. Brownie butter mochi with brownie cheesecake stuffed chi chi dango ($7). Literal brownie baked onto butter mochi! And can't go wrong with brownie & cream cheese stuffed into soft chi chi dango. 3. Peanut Butter Oreo stuffed chi chi dango ($7 for 3 giant pieces) This is the newest creation and it's so good!! I love pb and Oreo and together it's amazing! The crunchy bites of Oreo with the creamy pb... mmm.. 4. Lilikoi Butter Mochi ($6 for 4 pieces) you can really taste the lilikoi in this one! It's sweet and tangy! 5. Kulolo Mochi Rice with haupia & mochi balls ($7). This is what everyone comes here for. I finally caved and decided to try it. I must say, I get the hype! The kulolo rice is nice and sticky and flavorful, the haupia sauce is sweet and coco nutty, and the mochi balls just adds a chewy soft texture. Definitely a mouthful of flavor! 6. Seasonal Pumpkin Mochi: during the fall season, they offer pumpkin treats such as pumpkin crunch stuffed chi chi dango and pumpkin biscoff butter mochi. If you love pumpkin, definitely be on the look out for those 2 specials! Overall, I haven't tried anything I didn't like from here! Their mochi & butter mochi stay soft even when kept in the fridge for a couple of days!

The best mochi ever!!! Bake You a Smile does put a smile on your face as you bit into the soft chichi mochi filled with a chocolate covered strawberry, kulolo, kulolo and Haupia, peanut butter, sweet potato , etc. they also have butter mochi flavors which are sooooo delicious as well. You will crave for these treats because you have to plan to get them. The treats are not readily available at your neighborhood market. They are only available at scheduled events such as the Night Market at Pearl Country Club, Kamakana Ali'i Wednesday market, and Nordstrom OR by order via instagram!

We just went to the pearl country club night market and decided to take a chance and stand in a long line. We waited for an hour but it was absolutely worth it!!! The owner was so sweet and the mochi is so so soft! She said she bakes for 12 hours starting at midnight so the mochi will be super fresh. Would 100% get again!

Reopened where samurais was located on the bottom floor next to times…read more They have a lot of crack seed packages and typical samurai swirl soft serve in to-go containers. They only have one size cup for their fresh soft serve. The flavors are constantly changing and the it is super soft and light. They also have fresh popcorn that can be scooped into bags along with mochi crunch or cheddar cheese.

I can take this off my bookmark list and am pleased to advise I will be back....often!…read more I was beyond sad when Samurai closed this location and have often wondered who would take its place. New owners, basically same products I am once again a happy patron. Ohh, the popcorn. Big popcorn, seasoned with the traditional furukaki-ihurricane seasoning that I crave when watching movies. I'm not saying I'm lazy but I don't like to make my own popcorn, never seem to get it perfect like TOP gets it. I keep wiping my right hand on my capris as I'm writing this because I didn't want to wait. So I ate the soft serve icy ice cream first cuz I wanted to be able to tell you if you liked its predecessor cups and cones you'll be getting much of the same including Ube and Matcha. Parking in the Times lot is plentiful, associates are smiling and helpful. Not tipping asked on CC checkout. A little more expensive than prior owner but everything is so I'm not complaining. Just happy as a piglet in popcorn!
