Poke bowl with California and gingah avocado
Brendan L.

I was told about this place by my "assistant"(Claude) today. I gave it a shot. I came in at a good time, no wait. I was promptly helped. The vibe is very upbeat. I tried the gingah avocado, and it's awesome! Not on the economical side but the quality is great! Btw, it's in the same building as Dixie grill. To the left of the tattoo shop.

100% Legit poke spot! This is now 1 of 2 poke spots (don't mean to name drop but Off da hook in Manoa is the other lol) in Oahu that I can call da best! Poke is super fresh and they added some type of sesame ball topping that made it taste really unique. The staff was super nice and we chatted about the restaurant. This place was recommended by a local and will be going here again!

5 stars for the sundae, 3.5 for everything else

The sashimi has fantastic quality and is very fresh, but the flavors weren't quite there. Their most popular flavors are spicy ahi and avocado ahi. Avocado ahi was so bland. We got oyster sauce as our second flavor and it was wayyyy too salty. The shaved ice was way too syrupy and inedible. But the sundae was 5/5 all around! The mochi like taro inside was so delicious. It comes with 2 large scoops of mac nut ice cream. I'd come for the sundae but not get anything else.

I'm Poke lover and always looking for good Poke place! This place is located behind or side of Dixie Grill, and you can access from Kamehameha Hwy(west bound) or can come from Moanalua Road side. There are many parking lot but depends on the day and time, little full. It's very tiny cozy to go place and only counter seat but majority of the people just take out but there is a picnic table outside. I ordered Gingah Avocado Poke Bowl and my husband choice was Shoyu Poke Bowl. It's sooooo ONO! I regret I should have come here sooner! But now I know this place poke is so ONO! so can't wait to try another flavor!

Fresh ahi, great service, what more can you ask for from a poke place! The poke selection was right on and there were non-stop customers coming through so you know that's a good sign. I got the spicy and shoyu poke and it was bomb! Definitely a must have when in Aiea, and will be back soon!

As soon as we landed in Honolulu, we were looking for a poke place near the airport and found this place. It was SO GOOD! It really was the fresh Hawaiian poke I was dreaming of. Fresh and great flavor! I hope to get another one on my back before catching my flight. So so good

The USS Arizona Memorial is one of the most visited historical sites in America. Most people visiting Oahu will visit this amazing peak into our history. If you count yourself as one of them go to Ryders or at least for a break. We got there about 15 mins before they closed and candidly the girls were nice enough but also it seemed like they were disappointed that customers came in so close to closing. The place itself is in a tiny parking lot in the corner next to a tattoo parlor. There is no seating except the picnic table outside. As for the shave ice itself, it was fantastic and soft. The flavors were tasty and they had a good assortment. There were only 4 flavors left as they were an out of two and couldn't or wouldn't replace them. While we didn't get poke bowls we were allowed to try the scraps of what was left and it was as good as everyone says! But they WILL run out so don't wait till closing to go! At the End of the Day it was convenient and close to Pearl Harbor and hit the spot! We would definitely go back if visiting again and get poke bowls and hopefully the ice cream we were hoping to enjoy.

Stoped by Ryders Had to try the POKE NACHO - hot shoyu and spicy mayo poke combo with unagi sauce and the no fail KULOLO SUNDAE

Yes you should go. Ryders was on my bucket list of poke places to check out while in Honolulu. And they did not disappoint. I came here with one other person. The nice people behind the counter answered all our questions and even let us sample their poke to make sure we knew what we wanted. I got poke nachos with their two best selling poke flavors (Ginger Avocado and Spicy Mayo). I also added the pickled onions which was a little extra $. It was delicious and flavorful. I love the chips they use which gave it a lot of crunch. I highly recommend the nachos. The person I came with got their regular poke bowl with rice. They also got 3 toppings including their popular pickled garlic which I also recommend. We both enjoyed our meal. The inside of this place is small and a more of a grab and go type of spot. But they do have some limited seating if you are looking to dine in. Besides poke they are known for their shaved ice and ice cream. I do want to come back and try their popular Kulolo sundae. Parking is easy since they share a lot in a strip mall. They are located on the 1st floor in the corner.

This is the best poke I've ever had! Absolutely delicious and I wish in Hawai'i now so I could eat some. Every time I'm in O'ahu I crave poke. It's one of my staples when I visit. I've been on a hunt for the best and I think this place is it! The poke is so flavorful and fresh. You must order the pickled garlic - life changing! It's a little shop but there's actually a good amount of parking. Expect to wait a little if you're there during lunchtime. The service was super speedy and all the employees were friendly. The shop and area is a vibe. It's really cute and cozy with a table outside. We took ours to-go and everything was packaged really well.

Spicy ahi, California poke nachos topped with Taegu and unagi sauce

If you're looking for fresh poke and genuinely great service, Ryders Poke is a must. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted right away. He asked if it was our first time, which it was for me and took the time to walk me through everything, offer samples, and really make me feel welcomed. Nothing felt rushed or transactional, just good, genuine service. The fish is incredibly fresh and very well seasoned. You can tell they take pride in what they're serving. I appreciated how he asked what flavors I liked and guided me based on that, super easy to talk to and genuinely helpful. I ordered the spicy ahi and the California poke nachos with unagi sauce, topped with taegu, and it was SO good. Everything just worked together perfectly. Prices are also really reasonable for the quality you're getting. You can tell there's a lot of pride behind this place, he was even talking highly about the owner, which says a lot about the environment and culture there. The overall vibe was welcoming, friendly, and just good energy all around. Before I left, he was hyping up their kulolo sundae, so now I have to go back and try it next time. Definitely a spot I'll be returning to.

Love their poke bowls here so good! Love how you can choose sides like ocean salad, pickled garlic, etc. They also have yummy desserts here too like shave ice and ice cream with Kulolo.

Bless these kind souls for allowing us to be those customers that come in 5 minutes before they close... We rushed in after eating next door to get some dessert since we saw they had such outstanding reviews and they were so nice and understanding. We ordered a small strawberry ice cream which was so creamy and thick, as well as a small shaved ice with 2 flavors, mochi, and condensed milk. As you can still from the picture below, they PACK the shaved ice to the brim and sky high for you that I thought we had accidentally gotten a large. The quality of the shaved ice itself is great, comparable to other highly rated shaved ice businesses. They didn't rush out after ordering and were generous enough to let us eat our sweets in the store about 10 min past closing time. We unfortunately didn't get to try their poke but it is definitely on my list for the next time I come back to Oahu.

Not so Cappy... Came…read moreto Pearl Kai Shopping Center and decided to give Baskin Robbins a peek since I was craving something cool and since it was Christmas Eve some shops were closed and parking was just wide open making it an easy stop. Walking in it was nice and empty with the exception of a couple folks enjoying their treat at one of the tables in the shop. I paced back and forth looking at the many variety of flavors many popular ones was empty making it even tougher to decide with what they had left and waited and waited for a staff which a lady finally came out and I asked about their "Cappy" item they have displayed on the counter and if it was a shake or smoothie but says it's like a Frappuccino dessert made with a coffee base was interesting and decided on one to which she asked what size and got a small. She got straight to making me one and once I got it was quite disappointed that it was basic as I noticed her scooping from vanilla though the other flavors you're able to get it in are classic, caramel praline, chocolate fudge, Oreo or what the display that I pointed out was "Peppermint Fudge Cappy"...$7.11 for a small and it was vanilla...meh! She honestly looked as if she really didn't want to be there and I just interrupted her moment of silence with the look of disgust as I myself just finished a 9hrs Christmas Eve work as well and missed on some places that I wanted to attend but it s what it is and to just acknowledge what flavor I'd like is not much to ask for though it was good and not trying to say the product wasn't good just was sad on Christmas Eve to have such disappointed service.

We ordered the açaí bowl, (small $12.50 and large $14.50) and also ordered popsicles (10 for $15). Already the price of this was way cheaper than W&B. Liked it! I apologize for the lack of photos of our açaí bowls, but I have a bad habit of digging in right away then realizing that I forgot to take photos when it's half gone. I'll attach photos when I go back...because I most definitely will be back! I think I still prefer the taste W&B açaí, but the açaí here is really good and satisfies the craving! The popsicles on the other hand, were just ok. It was described as large otter pops and while I wouldn't go THAT far, I don't think I'll get those again. Didn't try the juice yet, but the price is pretty high so not sure if I'll get around to it. Especially since the açaí is soooo good!!! I'll probably always get that instead!

She was watching Tinker Bell on the TV and didn't greet us or even look up - no hello, no smile, just awkward silence. We were the only ones in the store and still had to awkwardly approach the counter just to get help. As first-time customers, there was also no explanation of the scoop sizes or pricing, which made ordering more confusing than it needed to be. When we finally ordered, two items were made correctly, but one person in our group ordered dragonfruit gelato. The employee started scooping strawberry instead, and even after we politely pointed it out, there was no acknowledgment or apology--just silence. It made for a really uncomfortable interaction. While we were eating, the employee went into the back, and we could hear her loudly scrolling on social media with the volume on full blast, even laughing at times. Toward the end of our visit, she came back to the front, sat down, and continued on her phone. The entire atmosphere felt so awkward that we decided to leave and finish our gelato in our cars. Even as we walked out, there was no thank you, no goodbye--no acknowledgment at all. It was honestly disappointing. That said, the gelato itself is actually really good, and the interior of the shop is nice. That's the only reason I'd consider coming back. Unfortunately, the service really brought the experience down. Proper customer service training is definitely needed. I would come back for sure, but I wouldn't return if that same employee was behind the counter.
