I first heard of this spot from an investor I know. I placed an online order for delivery so that I can have some good treats while working for the week. I ordered a bunch of cupcakes in a jar. That chocolate and vanilla cupcakes were on point, loved it! I also got the Jack Daniels infused chocolate cupcake and it really hit the spot after dinner. The infused Strawberry Mango Vodka Cupcakes in a Jar (Gluten free) was good too. The alcohol infused cupcakes have a 21+ logo on them so you know that they're only for grown folks. They weren't over powering, and was just perfect try infused. These were all perfect for me and the fam. The chocolate hip cookies were moist and had the perfect amount of chocolate chips in them. Baked Cravings came up when I searched bakeries this morning. I saw they have mini cupcakes so I decided to walk to their location in East Harlem. It's a storefront with a table and stools outside. I was fortunate enough to sit outside and eat a delicious mini chocolate cupcake. They come in a pack of a dozen for $14.95. I'm already planning to have mini cupcakes shipped to family and friends for the holidays. I'm a huge fan of the small treats. It wasn't too sweet just moist and yummy. So thankful to find this completely nut free bakery in NYC! Pre ordered 4 cupcakes for a specific time and they were ready and well-packaged when I arrived. I tried the lemon cupcake which was delicious. I wish the cake was a little more moist but overall, flavors were good and the cupcake itself wasn't overpowered with frosting! I decided to check out Baked Cravings due to the amazing Google reviews and the decent Yelp reviews. Like other reviewers, I hope my review won't be considered "contrived" and simply just honest. I also think that the pandemic may be affecting this establishment in the quality of their products. Maybe I didn't order the right things, but the cupcakes I ordered were noted as the most popular by the staff member. I tried the Cookies & Cream, Red Velvet, Mint Chocolate, and Lava cupcakes ($3.50/each). Perhaps I should have tried to mix up the bases of the cupcakes, but the cake was dry. I tried to show the inside of one of the cupcakes, and you can see that it doesn't present as moist. It's not terrible, but I think these cakes spent slightly too much time in the oven. However, in older pictures, I do see the cake looking more moist, which is why I say the pandemic may be affecting the experience. On the Cookies & Cream the oreos as toppings were really good! Across all, the frosting was also light and tasty, and provided the much needed moisture to the cakes. The dryness of the Lava cupcake was helped by the white chocolate chips inside. In fear of being too picky, I gave the Red Velvet to my roommate, and she agreed that the cakes were dry. I personally REALLY like moist cakes, so these cakes left much to be desired. In addition, $3.50 is pricey for a standard cupcake. Two Little Red Hens offers cupcakes at $3.35 that are bigger and more moist, albeit more traditional flavors. When I was checking out, the cashier mentioned that this bakery was understaffed, as she had trouble with the register and mentioned it wasn't her usual post. She was nice about everything, and I wasn't in a rush so it didn't bother me. Overall, I would be willing to give Baked Cravings a second chance post-pandemic or to try their other goods, but I have to agree with other reviewers that these cupcakes are on the dry side. read more

Baked Cravings did one thing perfectly and everything else rather well which is worthy of 4 stars . What's perfect in my opinion is their frosting. I normally hate frosting on cakes and usually put the biggest emphasis on the sponge. Frostings usually suffer from texture issues , too much artificial additives , lack of flavor or the worst of all , terrible flavor ! This icing is rich and delicious cream cheese based and lends a hand to a sponge that by its lonesome isn't spectacular like a Molly's for eg to stand on its own . The sponge was a tiny bit dry for my liking but still overall tasty and good . The cakes in reference were the lemon and vanilla . They both lazily shared the same frosting which wasn't the worst thing in the world but something they can challenge themselves on . I'd say based off what I had , I'd recommend this spot if you're in the uptown east side area . Afew blocks over to the west side though ,would get you a more moist option from LA sweets . read more

The most delicious baked goods I have ever tasted. Unbelievable! I have never enjoyed cake more in my entire life.

It was my wife's birthday and she wanted me to sit back and not bake her cake. So she did some research and found Baked Cravings online. Their East Harlem store is located on a busy street, but parking (for a Saturday afternoon) was not too bad. From outside, you would think the store is big...but when you walk in...it's a small shop. I'm ok with a small bakery as long as the food is good. I must admit...they have a wife variety of sugary treats, such as: cupcakes, cupcakes in a jar, cakes, cookies, muffins and donuts. I did buy a $20 Groupon to get $35 worth of items. On their website..it showed that the Passion Fruit cupcake was sold out. I wanted to see what the hype was about with this particular cupcake and was hoping that they had it in this store...which they did!! The gentleman who was behind the register just made my day when he told me that he had some Passion Fruit cupcakes. He did not give me a hard time with the Groupon..unlike other stores who have an attitude when you show them that you bought a Groupon. With the current pandemic..the last thing I want is to have a bunch of cavities and go to the Dentist. But, wifey is the birthday gyrl and wanted a few things from this place. She chose the Passion Fruit cupcake, Strawberry Mango Vodka cupcake in a jar, Strawberry shortcake cupcake, Vanilla Caramel cupcake & a Lemon cupcake. I could not just get stuff for her..no way...I had to try the Cognac Infused cupcake in a jar and the Jack Daniels Infused cupcake in a jar. She really enjoyed the Passion Fruit cupcake (you can really taste the flavor of passion fruit..I'll give them that!) & the Strawberry shortcake cupcake. Both of these were very fruity! She didn't care too much for the Strawberry Mango Vodka (the mango and vodka flavors were not that strong) and felt that the Vanilla Caramel and Lemon cupcakes were average. As for me..well...I was disappointed with the Jack Daniels Infused cupcake. I love JD..but the flavor in this cupcake was not powerful. BUT....BUT....the Cognac Infused cupcake in a jar...HANDS DOWN..the BEST cupcake and STRONGEST ALCOHOLIC flavored cupcake I have ever tasted. There was no need to drink champagne with this one. If you want to taste a cupcake with a perfectly blended amount of cognac and sweetness...you have to choose the Cognac Infused cupcake in a jar. My wife only tasted a tbsp of it and had to tap out LOL..I had finished the rest. My friends and I stopped by this little gem of a shop this week and were so glad we did. Located on the corner of 105th St and Lexington Ave in East Harlem this tiny shop offers great quality delicious treats. We opted for a chocolate chip confetti cookie, lemon meringue cupcake and s'mores brownie (all delicious). I can't say enough about how good everything was. I ordered 2 red velvet cupcakes and 1 chocolate lava cupcake. When they first came , in a bag named Bake Cravings, I said that's so nice. I took a bite of the red velvet which is my favorite, it was cold and dry so I took a bite of the chocolate lave cupcake, it taste the same.
