Fav bakery in Portland, fantastic buttery flaky croissants, breads are hot and delicious, treats and cookies are fantastic. Service is great, can get a bit busy but worth the wait! Their white harvest bread is so fantastic for sandwiches. Take that loaf straight home, toast it and make yourself a BLT and thank me later. Coffee run and croissants are always a win (ham and guyere croissants are also soooo good)

Busy yummy coffee spot with solid pastries. I tried the breakfast sandwich which had egg, bacon and cheese. It was good but nothing super special and pretty standard. The pastry selection was much more exciting and I probably would try their other baked goods. The oatmilk latte I ordered (not pictured) was delicious. They have limited seating but had no issues finding a place to sit. To order you take a number and they call your number while you wait in the store

The space was so cute. The staff was very friendly. I was able to order right away and had my coffee within minutes. I think I was there around 9 am. The coffee cake was dreamy. Very buttery, fluffy and moist. The middle was almost gooey with flavor. So good. The sandwich was premade and I generally do not like premade sandwiches UNTIL now. I snacked on it all day. The bread was perfect, the spread that was on it was so flavorful. Also the salami and cheese was a minimal amount yet it was perfect. I will go there again next time I'm in Portland.

Talk about a popping place! This place was buzzing on a Friday morning, and for good reason. The pastry's were fantastic, and the coffee was solid! All the items in the case looked tempting, and the two we actually had did not disappoint. I look forward to coming back to try new items. The only knock I have is that the layout was a bit confusing. You take a number to start out, but it wasn't super clear as to where to wait. Once they call your number, you order, and then mill about awkwardly again. Finally, you pick up your food, but it's on the opposite end from the drinks... overall, just a tad confusing. Could have been partly on me and my lack of coffee but not bad enough to keep me away, and it shouldn't deter you! It's very tasty.

Talk about an experience! Walking into this bakery, you're immediately welcomed by a beautiful display of pastries of all sorts. They are shown off in a well lit display which outlines both the pastry and cost. Each of the items in which I looked over all felt comfortably priced, especially given their immaculate tastes, texture and consistency. I tried their chocolate chip cooking and crumb cake. Both were out of this world. The service is no exception. The cashier was friendly and very helpful. I've already visited twice and plan to add this spot to a list of places I will make a point to highlight to others. Thanks for the experience!

I stopped in for a pastry on the way to the nearby Sunday Hillsdale farmer's market. The chocolate croissant was absolute perfection with a beautiful crisp on the outside, lots of soft flaky layers, and thick rich chocolate in the center. This definitely hit the craving button! They even had a gluten-free option for my friend (a flourless chocolate cake-thing that looked amazing and vanished too quickly for me to get a bite). It got pretty busy, but they have an easy system - there is a take-a-number machine right when you walk in so you have time to admire all of the freshly made pastries in the case and decide what you want without losing a spot in line. I loved both how easy it was to order and the excellent quality of the baked goods. I look forward to returning.

Walking in less than an hour before closing, we were surprised to see most of the items still in stock! We ended up picking four things to try: Vanilla Bean Kouign Amann ($7) - This pasty has a sweet yet salty exterior that's complementary in flavor rather than clashing. It's accentuated with a crunchy glazed and caramelized sugar layer that's on the sweeter side. The interior is interesting. There's a cavernous gap right in the center that's filled with a sickly sweet melted sugar syrup. It's unpleasantly sweet and very cloying. The puffed and filled area is large enough that it compresses the other layers so the kouign amann is dense. I've never had a kouign amann quite this sweet before. (3/5) Meyer Lemon Olive Oil Cake with Thyme ($5.50) - This cake is so moist and rich, thick and dense, fatty and rich, that it feels like I"m eating a slab of butter. I'm sure it has just as many calories too! It's quite sweet, although not nearly to the level of the kouign amann. Overall, it's just a really rich and decadent cake. (4/5) Blueberry + Vanilla Cream Brioche Donut w/ Earl Grey ($6) - The top of the pastry is dressed with a cream that has an unmistakably strong bergomot earl grey taste. I wish there was way more cream - there's essentially only a dab on top! The rest of the donut is filled with a custardy light blueberry and vanilla jam. It's not too sweet and has an excellent high quality blueberry fragrance, creating an exceptionally strong blueberry taste. The jam is not too thick and is somewhat syrupy from sugar. The donut itself is really soft and extremely airy. It's the fluffiest donut I've eaten in a long time. (5/5) Raspberry Rose Cruffin ($8.50) - This pastry has some fun dehydrated raspberries sprinkled right on top of a light and fluffy cream that's not too sweet. The cruffin base is buttery in taste and great lamination even when filled with the custard and rose/raspberry cream. This is a heavy cruffin that's very filling. (5/5) Twisted Croissant certainly does some some really delectable treats. It's one of my favorite bakeries in Portland!

I'm not sure that I can justify spending $7 to $12 on a single pastry. This will have to be my special occasion bakery, I suppose. Additionally, I had a less than pleasant exchange with one of the employees. It kind of caught me off guard because that has never happened before. Maybe she was just having a rough day.

I particularly recommend their chocolate, strawberry shortcake, and key lime pies. S'mores is also a solid choice. All of their pies have a great crust: flakey, thick, and excellent when dipped in coffee. I wasn't fond of the whiskey peach because it had a strong whiskey flavor, but this pie would be great for whiskey-lovers. Although the prices are pretty high, the pies are so good, and they are definitely worth trying! All of the workers are very friendly and helpful, and the restaurant has plenty of seating. It's sweet but not overly sweet, with that wonderful homemade taste. Definitely one of the best pies I've ever had in Oregon! The pies are a little pricey, but the quality and flavor make them well worth it.
