Went on a friend's recommendation and it was a hit! The service was great and friendly when taking our order. The carnitas sandwich was delicious, as was the caramel danish. The sandwiches are huge so sharing one was perfect for 2 of us!

Beware of the online ordering system.

Online ordering said 43 minute wait. Ok. I'm 20 minutes away, so I'll leave in 15 minutes and get there early. Except the food was ready in 15 minutes. By the time I got there, my food was cold and my request to reheat it was ignored.

We came recently for lunch as I wanted to check out the new renovated spot. It is much bigger than before and has more seating area. The sandwiches are still good as before and also very filling. We ordered the Bada Bing and Beast Master to share. The sandwiches were of good size that it was a challenge to finish it in one sitting.

First time here and was hoping the reviews were accurate. The inside is very open and you can watch the bakers, ovens and those preparing the sandwiches. The staff at the register was friendly and helpful. We ordered the 1/2 Bada bing, 1/2 Irish goodbye, Lemon berry danish, chocolate chip cookie and blueberry muffin. We got home and got started. Starting with the sandwiches- the bread was great, obviously fresh. Both sandwiches were big (for being only 1/2) and had ample fillings. Both sandwiches were great and I come back for either of them but really want to try the others they have. The three pastries were big and got were all great but the blueberry muffin was the highlight. Definitely returning.

Five Star bread! As others say, absolutely incredible bread! I've had it at other places, but a fresh sub roll here was something else! It was some of the best sandwich/hoagie/sub bread I've ever had! This large building with a bakery serves sandwiches for lunch and breakfast. It's super hot in there on a hot day, no AC. If you go at lunch, expect a wait. Staff were friendly. I've never understood chopped sandwiches, but they seem popular. I feel Every bite creates a mess of spillage due to the tiny pieces and they look ugly. Lol! The cross section picture is horrible for yelp! I got a half Bada Bing. The flavor is incredible with quite a spicy kick! Bread is top notch! You need a spoon for cleanup. I was full on the half. For $13, it felt reasonable. If you split a whole with a friend, the price is very nice.

From different pastries , to loaves of bread, to the chopped sandwich I really haven't tried anything that I didn't like. They've really nailed quite an assortment of different types of bread. Really recommend the slow braised pork shoulder sandwich. The bread is light and airy, the pork is nice and tender and the flavor combination with the pickled onions was really nice. Only thing that could have been better would be if they packed more pickled onions :) There's plenty of seating indoors and some seating outdoors. Parking is a little tricky but you can find street parking within a couple of blocks.

ABSOLUTELY! what a great gem in portland! lived here my whole life and we've been needing something like this i'm glad I finally stumbled in. Great pastries and yummy sandwiches. Today was my 2nd time coming in the first time I ordered "Tu Mero Mole" really great mole not too sweet and not too smokey & the pickled onions balance the sandwich so well. Today I had. breakfast sando "D.H.P" it's DELICIOUS and I needed zero hot sauce! the chimichurri is the perfect level of spice and the thick bacon slices make it so you can taste the meat while still having everything else ho

Dos Hermanos Bakery is a fun stop for a casual bite to eat. It's not your average bakery. The interior is really cool with high ceilings, functionally industrial equipment, and bustling bakers and sandwich makers. I really enjoyed the chopped style sandwich where every bite is loaded with a fair amount of ingredients. The bread had a nice bite and chew to it. The sesame baguette in particular had a nice crispy texture on the exterior. El Chimichurri sandwich, featured for sandwich week, was spicy and hearty. The Bada Bing was reminiscent of an Italian sandwich without the heavy layers of meat and cheese. I liked the crunchy chips added to the Beast Master. I honestly can't decide which sandwich I like best because they were all good! The baked sweets looked really yummy but I resisted. I will definitely be returning to try them though!

We heard so much about this bakery but was slightly disappointed with the sandwiches. Reading the reviews, I'm sad the menu didn't have the Bada Bing sandwich. We got the Italian sandwich with sesame seed baguette and Tuna Salad. The bread wasn't great, too hard for the filling in it. The salad was good. Drip coffee was okayish. It was weird we didn't get went plates for our food but just a huge packing paper around them. There were many crumbs on all the tables and we had to dust them off. Not sure why we paid a tip to bus our own table. I'd give this place another try but only for the pastries.

Stopped by for some sourdough bread for guests coming to town. Very tasty flavor. I also got a snickerdoodle which was amazing. I think this is the best snickerdoodle in Portland. I need to remember to go back for this cookie again. The only downside is there are a lot of tents in the area right now but hope that changes for their sake.

Excited to finally come but very disappointed about the seating situation. It needs to either be a place to eat and go, or order and go. There's a few tables and there's people that are their lab tops or taken forever. It's not a coffee shop or is it? Def not a place for kids, there's no room Concha's are nothing special I ordered the full sized sandwich, $20. I enjoyed it very much well 1/2. It's a chopped salad in bread. Super messy but tasty. I think it would be cool if it was like a bread bowl with a fork. Coffee and champurrado were a meh. I would just say maybe put a time limit on people sitting?

The majority of the sandwiches contain meat, so I would not recommend this for vegans or pescatarians. Jim was delicious and I consumed both halves of Jim flawlessly. Either hunger overruled me, or the sandwich was that satisfying. I do recommend the shop, but with limited options for non-meat eaters, I truthfully would rate Lottie and Zulas, 4.5. Let me start by saying I didn't take pictures. For anyone who reads my reviews, that's a big part…read moreof them: ALL THE PICTURES. Presentation, portions, half eaten, etc... but I didn't. Because the food was so damn good. Look - I'm going to start off by saying I grew up practically on The Hill. Out here, you'll have to Google it (make sure to add 'RI' to the search or you'll get some political BS), but back east, "alls you's have ta say" was those two words and anyone would know you knew your Italian, food and otherwise. There isn't anything on this coast that vaguely compares to The Hill's food, but walking into and biting out of Geraldi's was having a little piece of home. There's this little shop in the old town where the owner knew your voice when you called to order... you'd walk in, and you heard "hey cousin!" whether you were or not, and that's the vibe you get from Geraldi's. The food is much the same - you get something that looks like Nonna was at the range all day with her sauce (it's not gravy - no meat) and you came home looking like you haven't eaten in weeks: "I'm gonna fatten you up before you leave" and you walked out the door with a sub (sandwich, that is - not a submarine) that weighed the same as a newborn. We got three of those babies: a Chicago Beef (seal of approval from the orderer - only 'complaint' was that they had to eat it all in one day because the bread was quote too soggy to make it to lunch the next day - travesty), an Italian sausage (just as delicious when 1/2 was reheated the next day) and a Chicken Parmeroni (I thought somehow even better when 1/2 was reheated the next day) and I could have absolutely gone back the next day if it weren't for A. the leftovers 2/3 of us had and B. the meal planning we'd done for the week. I also grabbed a side of giardiniera because I will get it anytime I see it available and I inhaled it - I need to know if I can by it by the vat instead of the side cups because it too was similar to what I can find at home (about practically nowhere out here) and amazing!! I'm still upset I didn't take pictures though!

Between the genuinely friendly hospitality and the flavor combinations, this spot hits it out of the park and is a must for sandwich lovers. Griddled Mortadella (5/5): An incredibly delicious sandwich that perfectly balances rich, salty, and savory flavors. It comes loaded with a generous portion of grilled mortadella and melted provolone cheese, perfectly moistened with a tangy mustard aioli. The fresh lettuce and bell peppers added a satisfying crunch to every bite. Chefwich - K-Town Steak Sandwich (5/5): A limited-time creation packed into a banh mi roll. It had a generous portion of perfectly tender and sweet bulgogi steak that pairs with their melted jack cheese. The gochujang mayo sauce had a subtle and sweet heat, while the fresh kimchi added crunch and slight acidity to balance the rich meat. Elote Tater Tots (5/5): Definitely a creative side dish.
