The people were friendly and pleasant Terrific corned beef hash in particular. But my bill came to $28 with no tax in a place where you go order, get your silverware, pour your own coffee, bus your table, so not full serve. Not that it's an issue at all, but I wanted to give an accurate description. So why 3 stars? Maybe it's me. Maybe I'm just a crotchety almost old man, but $28 seems to be exorbitant without tip. If I'm wrong then It should be four stars.

Hash was homemade and outstanding! Extra crispy and flavorful. Biscuits were homemade buttermilk and about as good as homemade buttermilk biscuits can get. My husband had coffee which he said was very good (which is high praise from him). I had a small hot chocolate. Do yourself a favor, if you get the hot chocolate, make it a large. Hands down the best I've ever tasted. Light, frothy and Ghirardelli chocolate, need I say more? We saw the pancakes and they are dinner plate sized. The place is unassuming and comfortable, games to play at your table to keep the kids busy. Local artwork for sale. The owner was at the register and he shared the story of how the place came to be. Ask if you meet him, pretty cool and I'm glad they survived their first year. You order at the register and they bring the food to your table. Def stop if you are in the area. We love supporting small business.

There was a part of my brain that said hey just get the five dollar breakfast sandwich, but when I try a brunch place that's highly rated I am compelled to get the eggs Benedict. Because any brunch place worth their salt should have a really good eggs Benedict on the menu. Again, wow, I am so glad I ordered the eggs Benedict. This is the best eggs Benedict I have had in years. The hollandaise sauce was rich and smooth and absolutely delicious. They also gave me a choice of potatoes or salad, I took the potatoes because: breakfast potatoes! They were perfectly crispy and creamy. They also delivered a little pot of their house sauce, which was made of cilantro and mint, and a bunch of other things. I tend to avoid cilantro and mint foods. In the past, I have described eating cilantro as biting down on a piece of tinfoil, a sensation that says "run for your life!" overtime my reaction to cilantro has mellowed, and I don't really understand why. But? I ate every bit of that house sauce. I'm so glad I tried it, and tried it with the eggs, Benedict, because it added a perfect level acidity to cut through that richness, and really elevated the dish. The top it all off, the service could not have been more welcoming, efficient, friendly. What a wonderful place!

We both ordered the Hannah, which came with housemade sausage patties and hollandaise sauce. The hollandaise was rich, buttery, and absolutely delicious. Also give the chai latte a try!! I love when a spot supports local artists and community events. They have a bar inside, a small outdoor covered porch area, cozy little artist corner, and tables spread throughout the space that make it feel comfortable and inviting. All staff was helpful and working together to making the whole experience run smoothly. The playlist was a 10/10 too. Overall, this was such a fun breakfast spot, and we'd definitely come back!

I walked in a little after they opened. Nobody was there in terms of customers... I wasn't greeted. I sat at the counter. The staff continued to just chat. I felt like the staff had no interest in having a customer. I had to go over get a menu. I was looking at it. Leo's seems to always be busy, and sometimes there are no available tables. So many people make it quite noisy, and on top of that, the din from the kitchen is overwhelming. It sounds like they are literally throwing the dishes and pots as hard as they can into metal sinks! Not a peaceful place to eat and converse.

"Half-baked cookies in the oven Half-baked people on the…read morebus" (Jimmy Buffet) Wandering around Shelburne Falls, we decided to stop somewhere for a coffee or a snack. We ended up finding both at Baked. When we walked in, we saw a few big bakery cases filled with pastries, muffins, and all sorts of baked goods. A little further into the space, we saw a reception stand for their full service, sit-down restaurant. We just wanted a beverage and a bakery treat, so that meant we couldn't sit in the restaurant, but luckily, we grabbed the only table in front of the bakery cases. It was quite a chore narrowing down our order from their many drinks and baked goods, but eventually we decided on a Cold Vanilla Blueberry Latte ($6), a Hot Banana Bread Latte ($5), a Macaroon ($3.75), and an Orange Cranberry Scone ($4). The cold latte and scone were mine and I enjoyed both a lot. The latte had great blueberry flavor and the scone was fantastic. We shared the baked treats, and the macaroon was great too, with plenty of chocolate chips, and a freshly made gooey consistency. We both noted how fresh everything was. All in all, their quality, prices and value were excellent. Well done, Baked... we loved our visit.

Animated and action packed Update-…read more Previously I focused on the coffee, most would in a cafe, but today, I was thinking of the baked goods, I usually keep things low carb, but since I was here I decided to make today my treat day. I had returned to the area for some shopping and decided to stop by the cafe, but alas, I was too late ! I had reminisced on the delicious cookies but it was not to be. My memory returned to my first visit.. As I stepped into the warm and inviting cafe, the sweet aroma of coffee and freshly baked goods wafts through the air, tickling the nose and captivating the taste buds. One can't help but feel anticipation and search for the source of this wondrous scent, the eyes dart to a display of baked goods brimming with life and love declaring forth their delightsome quality to the nostrils. Each bite of these heavenly treats is like a symphony of flavors exploding in your mouth. The cookies are perfectly soft and chewy, with just the right amount of sweetness, and melt in your mouth like butter. You can taste the high-quality ingredients in every bite, and it's clear that the bakers here take pride in crafting each and every cookie with care and precision. But it's not just the cookies that impress. As one peruses the display case, the eyes catch sight of the cinnamon-buns , many more treats, and even pretzels - twisted and golden-brown, with a sprinkling of salt that glistens in the light. I don't even typically enjoy pretzels, but these were too good to ignore. I take a bite, and it's like no pretzel experienced before. The outside is perfectly crispy, giving way to a warm and fluffy interior. The salt balances out the flavors, you can't help but be amazed at how something so simple can taste so incredible. As i leave the cafe, my senses still buzzing with the delicious flavors and scents. Everything in this cafe is highly recommended, and some of the best baked goods in the area. But today it was not to be, I went to a nearby franchise shop which specializes in cookies... nice staff but .. meh If your in the area and want a cookie this is the place I recommend, take caution though, it could ruin the experience of cookies anywhere else!
