Really good food. Got the Greek salad ate it at lunch and again at supper. My wife the cape codder sandwich was big and delicious.she got the sweet potato fries and they were really good, firm on the outside but smooth sweet potato inside. Loved our lunch here - we straggled in after a run on the nearby bike trail and I'm glad we didn't have to wait for a table. The menu has sandwiches, burgers, salads, soups, along with its own section of mac n cheese, and everything we got was tasty with fresh ingredients, generously portioned, and reasonably priced. I couldn't pick among the many options in the sandwiches section and just went with whatever my eye happened to land on: the Cape Codder. Really, it was the homemade cranberry walnut cream cheese, how does that not sound amazing? I'm also a sucker for any sandwich that combines granny smith apples and cheddar. Hard to tell from the picture, but the sandwich was enormous. Next time, instead of the country white, I may swap it out for wheat or multigrain, since it got to be too bread-y after a few bites. Highly regret not getting the house-made chips on the side. Also loved the cup of corn chowder - I'm a big fan of the chowder family. This one, though vegetarian, was incredibly thick and hearty, generous chunks of potatoes, a slight spicy kick. My husband couldn't stop raving about the sirloin steak tip salad. I really liked the cucumber wasabi dressing they used and wish I asked for a side of it to slather all over my sandwich. Last but not least: we got a chocolate PB cupcake to go, and let's just say, it's every bit as decadent as it sounds. As with everything else, they are extremely generous with the frosting. I met my friend for lunch today at the bistro. We were both there before 12 o'clock. We ordered two salads at 12 noon. After 25 mins we asked about our salads and they would be done in a couple of minutes. We had watched three other tables come in and be seated, after we arrived and ordered. After 30 minutes when we noticed that the other tables were already served, we asked about our salads again and were told, another couple of minutes. After 40 mins, we told our server never mind we're going elsewhere and left. the bistro used to be much better. we won't be returning. read more

Visited during my trip home to visit family and I am pleased with how much Easthampton's downtown has grown! My brother suggested this place as it had plenty of vegetarian options for me, and omnivore options for him. As we made our way to the back patio I eyed the delicious looking cupcakes in the display case--I'll definitely be back for them! But don't be confused, Union Street Bistro is no mere bakery. Their menu offers soups, salads, appetizers, and entrees that will please any palate looking for a filling lunch. I was pleased to find an Asian-inspired salad with spicy fried cauliflower in place of chicken. So unique and absolutely delicious! It reminded me of bang bang shrimp, but no sea creatures were harmed in the making of this salad. My brother got a BLT and it looked amazing--the bacon was thick and crisp, and the veggies were fresh (probably local!) and it had just the right amount of mayo. It even came with homemade potato chips. My one complaint is that the service, while friendly, was very slow. Perhaps they were understaffed in the kitchen on a weekday lunch rush, but other than that it was an excellent experience. I'll definitely be back! read more

Our first trip - and we'll be back. It was a nice day - so we sat outside on the back patio. Very pleasant. Waitress was a little grumpy, but the food more than made up for it. I got the chicken BLT on a brioche bun. It was quite good. The food being served around us also looked good - large, fresh-looking servings. Sadly, my cold brew and my wife's cappuccino were the worst we have ever had, which we couldn't finish. OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE I WROTE A NEGATIVE TWO STAR REVIEW IN 2018?! I love Union St bistro so much now I'm too embarrassed to even go back and re-read it. Let me put it into context though first before my very overdue update: Union Street Bistro had literally just opened back then and I'm sure they were still working out the kinks! Since then, I moved to another country, life went on, and then I came back home to the Pioneer Valley and have since rediscovered Union Street Bistro a whole four years later, and it has provided nothing but an absolutely perfect delivery food experience for me! In fact, I've become convinced Union St Bistro is perhaps the best restaurant in Easthampton now. I have so many favorites now: BBQ Chicken Bacon Ranch Melt is the best sandwich in the Pioneer Valley perhaps?! I'm obsessed. Also love the Harvest Chicken Apple salad with their homemade Peppercorn Ranch dressing and the bistro cookies. Also must mention Union St Bistro's pulled pork Mac & Cheese which is soooo delicious and the serving size is super satisfying and lasts for so many servings! I don't think there could possibly be a bad thing on their menu, including specials??? Everything has been so amazing! Though, side note: strangely, it has been months and still, Union St Bistro only shows up as available on my husband's DoorDash app, never mine, (even though obviously we both have the same address put in), I'm glad we discovered Union St Bistro was in fact available for us because it has been such a great new food obsession!! We had lunch here on a Saturday. We sat ourselves and were greeted by a very nice young attentive woman. We looked through their menus. Regular, specials and drinks menus. My mom got water, I had an ice coffe and my sister had a Fort Hill Brewery beer. We ordered roasted brussel sprouts which were very good. I order a roast beef sandwich which was good. I only ate half. My mom got the rueben which she ate half of and my sister got the burger. My sister I had cole slaw for our sides and mom got fries. They said their burger and sandwich for very good. They are a bakery so we split a Twinkie cupcake and were too full to eat the whoopee pie so that was brought back to mom's. They were too cold and we felt if they were at room temp we would enjoy them more. The place is cute and is popular. People were waiting for tables. Service is very good. This has rapidly become my favorite spot to have a meeting or some breakfast/lunch in. The staff is friendly. Some of them are still learning the ropes. But everyone has been very nice. The food has been delicious. The tomato bisque is a favorite. I really love the croissant for my egg sammiches. The Mac and cheese skillets are out of this world. I crave them. (They're definitely a little more liquid than you'd expect, but honestly I love that.) Good selection of beverages. I'd love to see a little more selection of seltzer. But otherwise looks excellent. Someone else will have to speak to the coffee, as I haven't had it. (But I do notice a lot of people getting there.) The death by chocolate cupcake I had was seriously intense. So thick and rich. Topped with ganache and a ganache center. The center also had cinnamon in it. I could have shared this with at least one other person. I would go here any day. read more

Stopped in for a quick salad to go on my way to a haircut. I got the buffalo chicken salad, which was way better than any buffalo chicken salad I have had in the past ten years. I wish I had gotten two so I could have one now! I also got an iced tea and a maple latte. The iced tea was unsweetened (how I like) and refreshing but that maple latte was something else. I felt like I teleported to Vermont with every sip. It tasted like pure maple candy. I wish I had asked how she made it but I was too busy drooling over their baked goods. While this was my first time, it certainly won't be my last and I will dream about that salad daily. read more

Cute local eatery on the main drag of Easthampton. Their menu is extensive enough and the eats are good. Their counters are full of delicious treats such as oversized apple pies, donuts and cupcakes. I'd pass on baking a pie just to try their apple pie. It was over the top in presentation and I could only imagine what it tastes like. There's enough seating to go around and service was great. Staffed exceptionally and timing was excellent. With easy on-street parking, this is an obvious choice to any group looking to relax and order some good food. read more

Step daughter and her fiancee took me and the missus out to eat as they wanted us to try this joint and I'm glad they did. The store is always kept clean from what I've seen, the staff is always kind and helpful with suggestions (considering their menu is full of delicious combos). They are always stocked with delicious looking pastries. I highly suggest their Mt.Crumpit breakfast sandwich and DON'T pass on the tomato bacon jam (which our order taker made sure we didn't, thank you!!). I have seen the bistro grow in popularity and I have definitely talked this place up as well whenever brunch comes up in conversation with my friends. Awful experience! We sat on the patio which to no fault of their own was chilly. However they did have heat lamps which we needed to beg them to turn on. It took 15 minutes to get our drinks delivered. Which by the way they do not serve Cabernet or Merlot. At 5:00 they were already out of their flat bread special. I ordered a burger and asked for medium temp. When the food finally came it was well done. 30 minutes later my new burger came, guess what? Well done again. Not only was the food not good, the service was awful. The manager and server were very rude Not one time did I get an apology. I asked the manager to take my burger off the bill as it was once again well done. She asked me "Are you going to eat it?" I have tried Union Street Bistro with my wife a couple of times now for pastries and coffee. It's an attractive little restaurant, clean with comfortable seating, and the folks at the counter were very friendly. The pastries and coffee were just OK. There was nothing wrong with them, but they were simply acceptable...nothing really stood out about them that would make me want to come back for more. I feel like I could get the same quality of pastries cheaper at a supermarket. I'm not saying that I would never visit again, but with so many other options in the Easthampton/Northampton area, it wouldn't be very high on my list. read more

Came upon Union street bistro today by accident. What a find! The food was GREAT! Best pulled pork sandwich I've had anywhere. It had Cole slaw and pickles on a beautiful roll with the pork which was sweet which came with a little basket of I think home made waffle chips. We also had chicken pot pie soup, really good. They have breakfast, lunch, a bakery, specialty coffees and desserts. We got a white chocolate cheesecake. Fantastic! Excellent service. Spotless. I noticed a small patio out in back.
