I truly didn't realize how extensive their menu was and figured it was most like a First Watch. How wrong I was and it was a pleasant surprise to see the variety on the menu. The cocktails looked amazing but I was there on a weekday for lunch so I will be back to sample a few of them on the cute little patio. The only reason I give them 3 stars is because my breakfast sandwich was overcooked. I asked for my eggs hard but everything else was way overdone. The fries were really good, though. Also, the wine on tap was not that great. However, I will definitely be returning to try more items and drinks. read more

I think this place is overrated to say the least. We ordered the burger and it came with fries, but the fries were old refried fries soaked in grease. The chips that they serve are nothing to talk about. They have no taste and the jersey sub is vinegar with hardly any meat in it for the prices they charge it's ridiculous. read more

We came two weekends ago for breakfast while staying at the Lansdowne resort. Although we prefer only sitting outside, that morning was extremely hot. Luckily, they have garage like doors that are open to the entire outside with tables inside that are on the edge, so we were able to get one of those. Service started off slow. It must have been a communication error. But once our server got to us, everything moved quickly. I got the Banana French toast, and my boyfriend got the eggs Benedict with the fried chicken. We also got two coffees. Everything came out really quickly! My French toast was the perfect amount of sweet and very good, but the star was definitely my boyfriends eggs Benedict and fried chicken. The sauce and seasoning were so good. It also had a slight lemon taste that really brought out the flavors of the dish! We were honestly really impressed and a little surprised by the 3 star ratings. Overall, we had a nice breakfast. Although we had the slow start, everything came out quick and our server remained attentive. I would definitely recommend them for breakfast! read more

Manager Dakota saves this review by taking charge to fix issue. Last week wile having dinner at Cooper's Hawk we could see Baker's Crust and what looked like a nice outdoor patio (our preference to eat safely based on CDC guidelines). We decided to eat there this week and found out there is a call ahead system in place and so placed a call on a rainy Saturday for a reservation. We were told there was only 1 party outside so no need for a call ahead but in the 10 minutes it took to arrive, all tables under umbrellas were gone (seems strange). Given the drizzling and no tables with shelter we did opt for an inside table socially distant and with the outside door open which allowed for an outside like environment (outside air) , made us feel safe and we took a seat. Servers wore masks as expected and required. Some kept a more social distance than others but all seemed OK. It did take a few minutes for a server to come over ( pretty empty inside and 4 tables outside) and a senior server saw we had not been visited and sent over Jonathan to be our server (Dakota check on tables arriving and sitting for a while before someone comes over). We ordered Thao shrimp for our appetizer. This was excellent , cooked just right and delicious. For main course, we ordered the special shrimp and crab pasta which my wife had seen and really wanted, and I ordered the salmon (were not too many seafood alternatives). The food came and here is the issue we had. They ran out of asparagus and our server never told us. The crab which is supposed to be included was non -existent. We asked for the Manager and he told us they had run out and should have told us. He could clearly see and hear our disappointment and my wife ended up getting a classic burger which was juicy and very good. She just did not eat much. The Manager Dakota did give my wife a coupon for the meal at another time which I thought was appropriate and I give this young Manager credit for trying to alleviate this issue (BTW at the table behind us there was a similar issue going on. So maybe just a bad night). For dessert we ordered the NOISETTE CRÊPE which was awesome. I saw on my bill that Manager Dakota didn't charge us which again was a nice way of compensating our disappointment. I made sure to tip what the total bill would have been to ensure employees all got to share . Just as a note to fellow reviewers. We have tried and will continue to try and visit all local restaurants in our area to support their re-opening and for their employees. I do have to say that most have some issue or another that would have been non-existent pre-pandemic. Given this extraordinary situation, my review ratings have taken that into consideration and have moved up largely because these restaurants are all trying . If we visit one where we experienced an issue and no one seemed to care, I would not be so easy on a rating. We will re-try Baker's Crust largely due to Manager Dakota's efforts to make the visit "right". And I recommend you try it read more

This place has definitely declined in food quality. We were there for breakfast and ordered two eggs Baltimore Benedict plates. The yolks on two different plates were hard and there was very little crab meat on either. There were coffee granules in the bottom of my coffee cup. While the service was good, nothing will get customers back with the quality of food that we were served today. A favorite place for Sunday brunch is no longer a favorite. read more

Depending on what you order it can be a hit or miss. My favorite item I always get here are the hash browns which are more like bite sized french fries. They are crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and seasoned very well to get to that orange color. It's usually pretty packed here around lunch time on the weekends, so I recommend making a reservation. I usually have to wait about half an hour to get a table if I don't make one. I got the chicken and waffles today which was pretty average. The chicken tenders were very under seasoned, and the only thing saving it was the honey mustard sauce that I asked for. The waffle is just your ordinary large soft waffle with some syrup you pour over it. The service is also pretty slow, but I'm guessing they're understaffed since there are so many customers. We were a party of 6 for Sunday brunch and we all had a wonderful time here. Israel is a great server and made sure we got everything we needed to have a fantastic meal. I got the Rivera french toast and it's probably one of the best french toast I've ever eaten. The biscuits are incredible. The service was great. The food was mixed. My husband really enjoyed his Jamaican French toast; however, the steak and egg frites was not amazing. The eggs were great but the steak was over cooked. I asked for medium and got well done and the fries were soggy. I've had their fries before and they were great, crispy and fresh cut. Today, the fries were soggy and oily like they were fried in cold oil. Sometimes, I have a great experience here and other times not so much. It's always a hit or miss and not consistent. Picked up dinner for the first time from this place, and did not have a good experience. We ordered 2 hamburgers and a shrimp/avocado salad. The food smelled great but it was all down hill from there. The salad was fresh and good but was overflowing with onions. The hamburgers were undercooked for medium-well and the fries were cold. Plus, in-spite of requesting them not to put cheese on the additional asparagus that we paid extra for, they did it anyway, making us throw that item. This is the one problem with pickup or delivery from dine-in traditional restaurants - these issues are easily fixed while dining in but can't be corrected with dinner out, making it a losing proposition. They have it where you can make reservations. Honestly it hasn't ever been full for me to feel like I needed to. No waits. Parking in a shopping center. Plenty parking. Second time coming and it was great both times. Staff friendly. Today since it was my family's first time gave us sample soup, which was tomato. It was better than most places. I came here for a brunch date early on a Sunday morning. I had to wait a good hour for average food. I was told that it would be a 20-30min wait. That wait turned into a 45min wait. The only reason why I stuck around was because hearing other people complain about the wait became entertaining to me while I sat with patience. I Patrons were able to make reservations way ahead of time. That seems normal and makes sense..for dinner. When you have plenty of open tables for people who haven't gotten the the restaurant while those who were there waiting doesn't make sense. I'd probably rethink the reservations for the weekends just to be able to cater to all instead. As for the food, the selections were average and slightly on the limited side. Coffee was decent and had a good taste to it. There should be more variety to the menu because it felt as if the plates were a la carte. I understand that it's Loudon County, but for those prices I expect better quality for the food. The only reason why the Stars are not lower is because of the waitress was pretty nice and I know she was getting overwhelmed with all the people. I'll give them another try, but It'll definitely be a while to give it time to update a few things. read more

I can't rave enough about this soup... and if you are lucky enough, they will give you a sample of the soup and the house made potato chips! The tacos are delicious and here's a tip... you can mix and match 2 of the tacos. Get the fish (my favorite! Absolutely perfect!) and Thai chili shrimp for that crunch... The "gotta have it" burger crushes it on every level... and I'm not even a big fan of mushrooms on burgers (next time I might ask for the crunchy onion straws as a replacement - just for contrasting texture)! Baker's Crust is so close to my parent's house and seemed like the prefect place to eat near by in the cold weather. BC is known for their speciality burgers, pizzas, artisan sandwiches/salads etc. I ate the BC BBQ burger for my main course. It came with a side of fries but I opted for some fruit, or I had a choice of vegetables. The burger was pretty good and came on a brioche roll. In appetizers the chili shrimp were excellent. Their kid menu is great as well since my nephew and niece had some pretty awesome pizza and burger. In dessert, we ordered chocolate skillet, which was just ok being a cookie made in a skillet and caramel gelato on top. Went there for a friend's birthday dinner and I wasn't really impressed. They do have outdoor seating, which is nice but the service sucks! We asked for virgin cocktails but we were told that bartender wasn't in the mood to make any virgin drinks. Their burgers are halal but they are nothing special. I got the grilled salmon salad and It was okay. I liked the white pizza though. Their service was extremely slow and kind of unprofessional. It took forever for some of my friends to get their food. When all of us finally got out food, we found a slice of pepperoni on the veggie pizza we ordered. When we told the waitress about it she didn't really care, just casually said sorry and got us another pizza which took another 15 mins. The waffle was very good as well, though it came out at room temp. The strawberries weren't great, they looked old and wilted and there weren't too many. Went in today, Sat, and the hostess, after getting she was done texting, seated us with happy hour menus good Monday through Friday. My wife went back up to get the correct menus and she said she was out so my wife went and found them herself, must have been an important text.. Wait staff came around and took our order and that was it for over 25 min. They were not busy so I saw our food on the counter at the kitchen sit or 15 minutes while it kept being pushed aside for other food to go out. finely it came out luke warm and we ate. after sitting for some time, I asked another waiter for the check and he said well, I go find him. Since it was our first visit, the manager came by and brought us a sample of their food which was very nice! The sample of tomato soup and the Parmesan chops were delicious. Here, I got the "swanky" which was a fried chicken eggs Benedict. Their fried chicken was delicious as was the sweet potato biscuit, albeit somewhat crumbly. Prosciutto and goat cheese bruschetta one of my all-time favorite dishes. I have gone and just had 2 of these as my meal. Thai chili shrimp and tavern chips are also amazing. Friends have eaten pizza and raved. Wine country and other salads are delicious. Shrimp and crab pasta is excellent. Noisette is my favorite dessert. 2 crepes stuffed with Nutella, sprinkled with almonds, plus vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. Yummo! read more

Tired of the same old thing, so decided to try Bakers Crust. Pretty diverse menu available. The restaurant design is pretty cool as well. Sat promptly and quickly noticed they had happy hour food prices (3p-6p) on a few items. Ordered Calamari for $5 and Neapolitan cheese pizza for $6 (menu prices $12+.) Before apps arrived we ordered at Turkey BLT to split with the wife. Expecting typical sampler size happy hour specials, we were shocked the pizza was same as menu. I quickly thought about cancelling the Turkey BLT because the portion size for the Calamari was unbelievable as well. The Pizza: Neapolitan style, that was thin and charred to perfection. Pizza alone, could easily be all they needed to sell, and it would be probably the best Neapolitan Pizza in Washington DC area. In fact, I just reviewed Tennessee Weiliams (Ottawa, CA) which is a pizza only place, that I thought was a personal Top five favorite pizza place, but Bakers crust might even be better. The only downer is they have a set menu of pizzas vs design your own. However, since the crust was so thin and perfectly cooked, they are probably minimizing the inability to have thin crust if overloaded w toppings. The Calamari: great portion size and typical fried calamari. It was good but wish they had a marinara to dip in versus honey Thai size. The Turkey BLT: was very good with Turkey that seemed like chunks of rotisserie (etc) Needless to say, we took 1/2 the pizza home. Will be back. read more
