For the 5 years that I have worked and commuted to Riverside/IE I have finally tried the infamous Baker's. I can see the love and hate behind it. Let's start off with the negative: the burger patties are severely under seasoned. I tasted all bun and tomato. Salt, pepper or even some seasoned salt would have altered the rating of this review. Second negative and it's more of an on the fence recommendation surrounding the chili. I would have preferred a more balanced, zesty and seasoned chili. This leads into the positives: the chili is very chili forward. It's not spicy but you can taste the chili powder for sure and I appreciate that. Some garlic and onion could make this a contender in the fast food chili game. The fries: fresh and hot out of the fryer. A lovely level of crispiness and salted generously. Went perfect with a side of ranch. Final positive: the presentation and freshness. Everything ordered was aesthetic, hot, fresh and I give kudos to the staff at Baker's for putting effort and pride into their product. Thank you Baker's.

Needed something fast , usually don't do fast food to often. Been to Bakers down by Cal Baptist a few times and always good. Went to the one in Woodcrest on a Sunday around 4pm. Drive thru and ordered a few beef tacos, ground beef burrito, fries drink. Tacos and burrito were absolutely horrible, the ground beef was dry over cooked and you can tell sitting for a long time, why you train your cooks to serve this? You can see before you put it in the tortillas or taco shell it's dry with char black pieces. Fries were decent and hot, coke was cold. Service was prompt and thorough at least, unless you take points off for the cook that actually made the food. I'm sure he's been trained not to throw it out. Literally, fed my 3 German shepherd's the tacos and burritos, I ate the fries and drank the coke... obviously, unless I'm getting my dogs food from here I cant justify coming back...

What happened to bakers? Quality is completely gone. I keep trying because it was so good before but man it's just never going to be the same. I spent 45 min in line for chicken tacos that look like lettuce tacos. Nothing looks like the picture. Burgers were so good and now I ordered a taco because the burger was so bad last time. Used to love the shredded beef and now that's gone. Well I guess Miguel Jr. shredded beef tacos and bean and cheese burritos will have to do going forward. Can't do Bakers anymore. Not for the price!

    Cheese Quesadilla

This place keeps getting worse and worse. I used to love the cheese quesadillas. Now, they hardly have any cheese. This is a photo of how 2 of the 3 pieces looked on the inside after opening up the quesadilla. Such a rip off.

Baker's you can do better than this. Plus I paid for a quesadilla and it was missing from my drive-through order.

I had never visited a Baker's before... i'm not really from around here, and was just in the neighborhood for an event at the nearby MLK Jr. high school. I said out on foot, in search of food for a bunch of kids, and after picking up a box of donuts kitty corner to the intersection, I stumbled over here to see what giant bag of food I could bring back. The menu is sort of an eclectic mix of burgers & fries and fast food Mexican. I ordered a big bag of tacos and burritos, And a few orders of fries... Not nearly as cheap as the Del taco next door, but for whatever reason, the Del taco's dining room was closed, they only had a drive-through, and thanks to lawyers and insurance companies, you can't walk up to a drive-in window anymore in this country. But back to Baker's... The young lady that took my order was cordial enough, standing behind plexiglass. My food came out pretty quickly, and I started the slightly uphill walk back to the high school. Nothing particularly awesome or negative about the food, although a 10 minute walk in unseasonably warm November he did not do the hard shell tacos any favors. This is hardly the restaurants fault, but I'm not exactly sure these were five-star tacos to begin with. For a bunch of adolescents Who do not yet need to worry about the food they're putting into their systems, it was an acceptable lunch, liberally smothered in small packets of hot sauce, and washed down with soft drinks. The french fries were pretty soggy, but again... The ultimate recipients of them were not exactly connoisseurs, and no one complained. Truth be told, I would probably not collectively eat here again, but you never know the next time I will have five hours to kill in Riverside.

Had to go 3x (from home) until they got my son's Double Baker with cheese (plain/dry) correct. The tortillas on the burritos are now thick and they over cook their fries and don't add salt. What happened to this place? Employees didn't seem to care I made 3 trips for 1 burger to be correct. *there were no shortage of employees and I was the only one in the restaurant all 3x, so we can't blame this one on COVID.

This is a large fry. Only a half filled container.

My meal had rice that was cold and overcooked and hard. Pretty sad because I've always liked Bakers.

Location is near Mission Inn on Main Street. Price is on the higher end so plan to pay an average of $30/person. The only thing that was a bummer for us was the loud music for lunch hour experience. The music was loud and made me think it would be best for a club atmosphere? Maybe it was just me but I felt anxiety eating because the music was so upbeat and loud. Music is a big part of the eating experience. I know some people may be fine with it. For example, we had breakfast at Tio's Taco and the music was spot on for the dining experience.

From the moment you step in, you're greeted with a warm atmosphere and a friendly vibe that makes you feel right at home. The highlight of my visits has to be the homemade tortillas--they're fresh, soft, and absolutely delicious. Paired with their shrimp, which are practically mini lobsters in flavor and texture, it's a dish that keeps me coming back for more. And let's talk about the margaritas. They pack a punch with amazing flavor that might just knock you off your feet! Each sip is a delightful blend that perfectly complements the bold tastes of the food. What truly sets ANCHOS apart is the owner, Dean. His humility and passion for serving the community make dining here a special experience. He takes the time to connect with customers, ensuring everyone feels valued and appreciated. ANCHOS SOUTHWEST is more than just a restaurant; it's a place where flavor meets warmth, and it's a must-visit for anyone in the Inland Empire. Highly recommend!

We have not been here since the 90's and I have to say, it was much better back then. All in all, there is just no flavor. The salsa tasted like watery tomatoes, our waitress gave us a little side of habanero salsa to incorporate with it but that heat is the extreme for me. We ordered the Mesquite chicken and steak fajitas which were less than average. Not sure if it was just a bad day, but the taste of the protein did not match up to the wonderful smell of BBQ outside the restaurant. The tortillas were just ok, first batch was not even warm. My Michelada was good though. Bummer visit after being away for so long. Looks like the interior could stand a makeover.

We waited a while just to order drinks, never mind the food. It took a long while to order our food, long enough that we were looking around for our server. Once we were able to order our food, it arrived and we were both disappointed. Neither dinner tasted good and was bland. They were definitely not worth the price, and, again, our we had to look for our server. During all the waiting and searching both my wife and I suffered with the extremely loud music, and my wife is deaf (not a joke). The music was so loud it vibrated on the table and chair, which bothered my wife, and luckily we use ASL to communicate. The few other tables had to speak loud enough that I could hear their conversations. Bad food, slow service, and way too loud music, we won't be back.

Their Mojarra for one, is amazing with some corn tortillas, beans and rice, and lettuce. The lime garlicky sauce on that one, is what I've been dreaming of. It was THE star of the show. And we also got their wet supreme burrito mojado, with the mole sauce all over it Also tried their agua fresca, loved the cucumber and lime flavor! Great size for two to share, and we had a blast just eating and enjoying the sights laid out to see. Their pickled onions got a spicy kick to it! I loved the added crunch instead of just having the typical hot salsa. Service was great, with the waiters and waitresses checking in on us every now and then, and I liked that we pay first then eat, so we just leave after we're done! Excellent experience as the weather was perfect too, the outdoor seating has some mosquitoes but be sure to go when it's not molting hot outside! I do wish there was a vegan protein thrown in like black beans or soyrizo or something to make it more filling but I'm glad there was a vegan option on the menu. There is a salsa bar that can help add to your meal like spicy pickled carrots, cucumbers, salsa and pickled onions. My favorite part of this place is the art decor. They're all made from materials that were bound to go in the trash, most notably cans that they open for cooking. So you'll see lids and the other material from cans beautifully molded into these structures. It may seem random but I found lots of humor and play thrown into the craftsmanship of it all. Some pieces are like playing I Spy. It was funner to see than a lot of museums I've gone to actually. It's truly just packed with art. I even got to meet one of the artists as he was working on something. He was really friendly. There's a few of them who work on them together and I learned they've been doing this since the 90's! How cool. It's so nice to see all the things they've come up with to create. Go check it out! Definitely a date worthy spot too. My bf and I had a lot of fun walking around seeing what they created.
