I decided I wanted to experiment and ask the cashier upfront about the least expensive thing with the most calories as I had 45 minutes before the next bus stop. They said it was the Chicken Asado, that was probably the one of the more expensive things with the least amount of calories as it was 470 calories for 5.35$ compared to a combination burrito with 600ish calories for 4.55$ so I'm assuming they fucked up the math or relied on anecdote. A little incompetence but that was out of their paygrade, I didn't mind much really but then they took about 10-15 minutes or so for about one burrito and that burrito still had the some of chicken bone inside, the materials itself weren't bad and I like how the food comes together but I'm not quite sure if the food server was on a killing mission with that carelessness. My other experiences weren't horrible but often mediocre. The price is that of an upper middle class fast food joint the quality is typically a little bit below that in my opinion as someone that works in one and there's a preferable choice of a Del Taco but the vibe really isn't the same idk. read more

I am giving them 4 stars, I have had times when the wait in Drive-Thru was pretty long, but food and service have always been great! We always want the best experience, but things happen, maybe short staffed, training someone, technical glitch. We need to be more patient and show compassion. I think they do a really good job. It's alright. I come to Baker's for a cheap double burger and fries, but it's not my first choice. I did notice that the Double Baker (double cheeseburger) is a whole 70c cheaper than any of the chicken sandwiches. When I receive the chicken sandwich, I wish I had gone with a burger. Caribbean chicken sandwich obviously had a frozen patty (at one Time I thought they used fresh chicken), thousand sauce, lettuce, tomato, and bun. At least I get cheese with the burger, and that costs 70c at some burger places! I was disappointed. All reviews on this location about service are correct: it's not the best or most courteous. Maybe the employees dread being there, or dread life? Also, the register employees don't know the menu descriptions very well for the chicken sandwiches. Oh well, the shakes are still very good. Lord oh lord was this an awful experience. We're a few hours from home so we stopped for something none of us have had before.. the Mexican ground beef salad was far from fresh, half the lettuce had brown parts on it. The floors were so sticky every single step taken your foot sticks to the floor. Also.. the BRC burrito I got was flat as ever and the rice was so hard the whole grain would stick to my tooth. I don't understand all of the negative reviews of this place. I've never had a bad burger or taco here. They even served as after they had closed on Christmas Eve when we came through the drive thru 5 minutes too late. Their habanero ketchup is amazing. The menu has changed (no more "mama burger meal" and "papa burger meal") but that doesn't bother me. Overall when I want a cheat meal and I'm craving a burger this is my go to. read more

My 8 yr old son can not eat the red sauce which we reiterated 3x to the employee taking the order. We also said please he will end up in the hospital. Poor customer service from entitled people who clearly hate their jobs. Initially whee weds n placing the order through the speaker the customer service representative was polite and friendly, she told me to pull to the first window and pay for the order. Then upon pulling up to the indicated window, there was no response for at least 2 minutes. Thinking maybe I had misheard I began to pull to the second window. As I began to pull away the window rapidly opens and the card machine is passed out. I wasn't even asked if I preferred to pay cash or card... and the cashier did not say a single word to me. Did not say the total and didn't even make eye contact. So I just followed standard procedure and placed my card in the machine offered. After the transaction is concluded she pulls the machine away and just shuts the windows. Appalled already at this situation, I'm hoping for a better experience at the second window. Once again I pull up to the window and have zero acknowledgment for several minutes. Finally the window is opened and a bag is shoved in my face. The representative quickly confirmed I was the correct customer. Then slammed the window shut again. I didn't get the chance to ask for hot sauce or ketchup. And so I decided to wait by the window to ask for those items. Zero reps bar from the other side, I even started to wave my hacks around in the front to indicate I needed help....nothing. About 4 minutes go by at this point before the window spans open and a disgruntled looking representative asks in a connecting voice "what"? Taken aback I all for hot sauce, she turns around and grabs 3 packets... like dude I'm so frustrated at this point, she is about to slam the window shot again when I just tape my entire bag and put it up to the window and say can I please have more, I did order $25 worth of food (meant for several people) and knew that 3 measly packets would not suffice. The representative told their eyes and grudgingly grabs more. At this point I just want to leave and never return. But wait it gets better, the food is disgusting. The cheese quesadilla is sloppy and half the cheese is melted onto the container and not even in the tortilla. The sandwiches were slippery and the bread tasted stale. I felt nauseous the rest of the day after eating their food and couldn't even eat regular food for fear of vomiting. Will never go back to this location. read more

A lot of staff but yet dirty tables every single table and seat was dirty I don't understand why when they just opened top of the morning don't most restaurants clean before they open there wasn't even many people in there to have made such a mess we couldn't sit down do to crumbs on the seats so we asked if someone to come clean the seats I took about 15-20 min for one of the many girls walking around to finally come out but yet she was still taking orders on the headset so we winded up just asking for the wipe to clean our own table. Honestly I do not have much experience when it comes to cuisine, considering one time I accidentally broke my microwave forgetting to put water into my ramen, but I am giving this Baker's grilled cheese sandwich 1/5 stars because I am almost 89% certain that grilled cheese sandwiches that cost $2.49 aren't supposed to look like this? When I first took it out of the bag I honestly thought I had accidentally dropped it in my driveway and backed over it twice with a tractor, until I remembered that I don't own a tractor. When it comes to taste, I'll rate it a 3/5 because it tastes like a grilled cheese? (But also I'm not sure what grilled cheeses taste like because again, I cannot cook.) Honestly I let my dog look at it (pictured below) and he threw up on my foot, so not only did I waste $2.49 on a grilled cheese but also $7 on my socks. Overall, 3/5 star experience because I still like Baker's because the person who took my order was nice so 5/5 stars for service. Just please make my grilled cheese prettier next time. I come here into this location almost everyday and now they tell me that they are limiting the Hot sauce because there is a shortage. I called the corporate office and the guy that answered the phone cannot answer my question I also want us another representative give me a call and they still to this day have not give me a call back. A few weeks ago I stumbled across a Farmer Boys in Riverside county and had one of the best burgers I've EVER had. Fast forward to yesterday, I'm up in Riverside area working again. Looking for lunch, I see a Bakers location, thinking it was a Farmer Boys as I had forgotten what the place was called. I walk in, thinking I'm going to get one of those big, hot, juicy burgers that I had a couple of weeks earlier. I waited with great anticipation for them to call my order number. No greeting, I first ordered a burrito meal then changed it to a burrito, hash brown, and hot chocolate not knowing they would substitute the hot chocolate for the drink in the meal, I ordered everything separate. The women rudely replied "that is a meal." I told her OK then I'll take the meal. Dead silence for a good 20 seconds waiting for her, then she comes back on and says, "are you done ordering." I would like to say the staff was rude and nasty, simply crass. I wanted to order a breakfast sandwich meal with the vege meat and egg. A simple request. Instead of a beef patty or chorizo. I have ordered this numerous of times without an issue. However, I was told that they can't do that. I can just order the vege meat on the side and put on myself. Incredible!!! I would give a negative if I could. Went through drive thru and was charged for the customers meal behind me. I was asked to park in the front while they fix the charges. Waited 10 min and decided to just go in. The cashier was still taking drive thru orders while I'm now waiting for him in the dining room. I wait another 10 minutes and I finally ask if they took care of the charge. Finally fixed the charge and charged me correctly and left me standing there for another 5 minutes before I asked them if that was my food on the counter. The manager was so rude. We received free milk shake vouchers from the library just one mile away from this location. The kids earned these vouchers by reading books. They were clearly issued by this bakers and when we went to use them right after receiving them--they were expired and the manager wouldn't honor them. The manager gave expired vouchers to the library. So annoying! So when we ordered, got up to the window and they wouldn't honor them. We will not be giving business to this bakers again. read more

I never gave Baker's a chance until recently when the mister told me that the Baker's on Van Buren is finally open and they have a Pineapple Dole Whip shake. Tried the pina colada shake and it tasted like I was on the beach in Hawaii at a luau but there was one thing missing...alcohol. Tried a burger and it was alright but I just tried the not-so-big nachos and that was appetizing. The nachos come with shredded cheese, beans and sour cream and paired with the hot sauce from Miguel's Jr. it's delicious. The hot sauce packet from Baker's is trash so don't ask for it or reject it if they offer it.
