    The restaurant appeal.

Dawn was great she made me feel like she cared about us. She even brought our baby's food out before the rest of the order to help with her fussiness. Food was exceptional. I love that they toast the buns on the burger. Missed the old fries but the crinkle cut fries are cooked well. My wife got the Avocado toast and she really liked it. The appeal looks great. I would just clean entrance floor it smelled like the rug had stagnant water trapped underneath it.

Don't not get Village Bowls off DoorDash it's through "Bakers Square" I've ordered two different bowls and EACH TIME they were thrown together, missing a lot of ingredients and it also doesn't look like the pictures provided. Will NOT be ordering Village Bowls again!!! The picture shown is supposed to be the Chicken Burrito Bowl

    Yummy yummy pie!

The facility is far bigger than I thought it would be. They have a central restaurant with multiple party centers on either side. It's a really BIG facility. New, modern, and quite attractive. With plenty of convenient parking. The wall of the restaurant that faces Cleveland Hopkins Airport is all glass. It affords you quite an impressive view of the airport and the planes landing. The staff we met was pleasant and efficient. Our server, Mina, did an excellent job all night. If there was a weak point, it would be the food. It was not bad (I'm trying to be kind); it was just uninspired, limited, and not really well prepared. Because they do not offer bread for the table our only option was to order the "Soft Pretzel". It arrived badly overcooked, crunchy not soft, and even boardering on burnt. The charcuterie board was OK, but uninspired. I ordered the "Lemon Chicken" which was a full half chicken in a reasonably good sauce. But the meat was dry and it came only with brussel sprouts (yuk!). My wife had the "Walleye" which she simply said was "okay"... oh well. Our guests weren't any more impressed than we were. I will say our coffee and "Pot de Creme" were very good... thank goodness. All in all, our overall experience was "meh"... just "meh". Sorry - really probably should be 3.5

We dropped in for Happy Hour, looking for cocktails and a few bites, and were immediately struck by the well-appointed space. The runway views at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport added an unexpected layer of entertainment--watching planes take off and land while toasting 14 years of marital bliss felt like the perfect backdrop. We started strong with a French 75 and an Old Fashioned--both expertly crafted, but that Old Fashioned? Smooth, balanced, and memorable enough to set the tone for the entire evening. Wednesday happens to be Wing Day ($2 whole wings), and we took full advantage. We sampled Buffalo, Sweet & Tangy BBQ, Lemon Pepper Dry Rub, and the undeniable star of the show: Garlic Parmesan. Each had its own personality, but that Garlic Parmesan was simply elite. Service was impeccable--Emily was attentive without being intrusive, making sure our experience flowed as effortlessly as the cocktails. Speaking of which, round two brought a Cosmo alongside a repeat of that Old Fashioned...because when you find the right note, you stay in that key. For food, we shared the French Dip Baguette--shaved prime rib, provolone, horseradish aioli, and au jus done right--and paired it with the Mega Crunch Fries, elevated with sea salt, rosemary, and a light truffle oil drizzle. Simple menu items, executed with intention. We closed the evening the same way we began--together, with one final round of Old Fashioneds. A Happy Hour well spent. A celebration well honored. A 14-year journey still taking off.

The guy at the register was very helpful with the menu and suggestions. They were quick to make our food and we enjoyed it there. They make smashburger style meat for their burgers and it was nicely seasoned. The texture was on the dry side though. The buns and toppings were great. There fries were also very nice, crunchy, and spiced well. This is mostly a carry-out joint, but they have a couple of tables inside to eat at. Overall, nice place for lunch.

But whoever is grilling the burgers at the other location is who is keeping me coming back. Other than that, other location is farther from me, it's worth a drive. What I really like about this place is the fresh meat and the disclaimer about the meats and how it's prepare. Well, I didn't like this time around is at the meat lacked seasoning, and the meat did not have that crispy edge or the juiciness in comparison to the other location. Unfortunately, I will not be back to this location unless I'm really thirsty for a good burger. If this is your first time at this location, then yes it's delicious. It's one of the best burgers in Cleveland. If you visit the other location first you're definitely gonna be disappointed when you go to this one.

This place is an experience; this is their main production facility, which also has a huge bar and restaurant space. It's so well planned; sit wherever, order food at one place, beer at another. They have bar seating, big and small tables, high tops, etc. Even with all the variety, it was still pleasantly loud and busy. At the entrance, you can go to the merchandise area, which is big. They have all their canned selections ready and cold to go as well. To the left of the bar is a self-guided tour hallway, where you can see a lot of the brewery and their huge wall of major beer awards from over the decades. We sat at a high top near the bar; the bartender was so efficient with our beers, there were so many to choose from I only wished we could've stayed longer. It's family friendly with games. Prices are super reasonable for the continued quality and arguably strong beer styles. If you're a beer fan, whether new or a veteran, this is a must-visit regional powerhouse. I look forward to visiting again soon.

We started with the Frickles, crispy pickle chips served with honey mustard and sriracha 1000 island dressing. The sriracha 1000 island is so good that we always ask for an extra side to dip our fries and chips in. I ordered a house salad with the Bumbleberry Poppy Seed dressing, which was fresh and flavorful. My youngest son stuck with his usual favorite, the Smoked Brisket Poutine, which never disappoints. My husband ordered the June special, the 5-OH Burger. This massive burger features an 8-ounce patty topped with ghost pepper cheese, Hawaiian BBQ candied jalapeños, bacon, onion straws, a grilled pineapple ring, and a cream cheese jalapeño popper. The flavor combination was outstanding, and the spice had a delayed kick that sneaks up on you a few seconds after each bite. My oldest son went with the BBQ Burger, loaded with smoky BBQ sauce, cheddar cheese, house bacon, onion straws, pickles, and horsey sauce. Another excellent choice. To wash it all down, my husband enjoyed two beers: the Hazy Headhunter and Hop Thunder from Down Under, both of which he really liked. The food is consistently great, the portions are generous, and the atmosphere is always lively and welcoming. Today we sat outdoors on the large patio. After all these years, Fat Head's continues to be one of our family's favorite places to eat. Highly recommended!

I also asked if they could add bacon and she said yes. My husband ordered chicken wings. When my burger came I took the first bite. I can tell something was off. The burger had pink through and through . I called the waitress and she agreed that is wasn't what I asked for. I let her know I didn't want the burger anymore to switch it out to potato skins. While they were making that order, I noticed they didn't even add the bacon. My husband's wings were underwhelming, as he stated nothing to write home about. By the time the potato skins came out, I ate one and asked for a box. I just wanted to leave, by the time all this transpired I didn't want to eat anymore. The reason I gave them a few stars was that our waitress treated everything professionally. She is the face that we see. We don't see the people actually cooking. I know that she relayed the order as given. She was so apologetic and just took the brunt of the blame. I didn't and don't blame her. She received her tip, but not the extra I usually give. Lately I feel that the restaurants are trying to survive possibly with lack of employees (not sure this is the case for them). It was a Sunday, who knows. Come on Max & Erma's, I was one of your biggest fans! I gave you a three stars due to my long standing patronage of your restaurant and overall love for this place, I want you to succeed. Sometimes these reviews maybe wake up calls to right the ship.

The location near us closed and we couldn't wait to visit this location. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. We pulled up to a run down disheveled building and almost left but went in anyway hoping the outside wasn't an indicator of things to come. As we entered, the dining room smelled of sewage and was just as run down as the outside. The food was mediocre at best. The pretzels sticks were very good. My husband's burger was good. I got the triple appetizer combo as a meal and it was meh. Two small chicken fingers that were not great, mozzarella skewers were ok and the pretzel sticks were the highlight of the meal. I gave this three stars because the food wasn't horrible and the service was good. Sadly we understand why this restaurant only has a few select locations left. It makes me sad as this was our favorite restaurant back in the day. I think it's safe to say this is our last trip to Max and Ermas.
