I just remember other places that are way more appealing. I wish there was a better spot for families where someone actually cared.

Customer service was on point ... the server checked on us on a regular. They even have a little arcade to distract you while waiting for your turn to bowl. They have a pretty decent looking bar and some delectable bar foods. Pizza, fries, I think I even saw mozzarella sticks on the menu. Place was not busy at all and there seemed to be 2 bartenders, two staff members, and one manger working. There are a few things I think would really help the business improve: To start off the customer service is below par, you don't get greeted or talked to unless you start the conversation off first. During our entire visit about 2.5 hours no one came and checked on us or ask us anything. Bartender was the only staff member who wore a smile and was extremely friendly throughout the visit. I would say some table touches by management or maybe having one person on the floor talking to people could not only generate more money but also better experiences. Usually I'm not the type to need most interactions when going places but this place definitely lacked it by a lot. Concerning the overall cleanliness of the building it also could have been a lot better. Restrooms were fairly clean but the tables themselves were very dirty as well as the booths. We had to ask twice for tables to be clean and ended up gathering them ourselves in order to sit down. The food was good though we ordered two pizzas some pitchers of soda and beer and some nachos. I do believe they should have a wider selection of food sold but I know most of the time that doesn't really fall on the management but more so the actual corporation. Price was also not too bad for food. For the actual bowling it was really fun I paid about $120 for about 7 people to bowl with shoes included apparently it was a special and you can bowl until they close. The equipment seemed really really old though I think this place is due for a remodel. The pins would fall on their own with no ball in sight, the balls would not go into the chute and instead roll back on the actual lane and get stuck and at times the whole system would just freeze and during those intense moments where we were trying to crown a winner the experience is just ruined. Overall the atmosphere was alright there were about 5 other family and they bunched us all up in the same booths instead of spreading everyone around to give people more space. The music was okay and the place didn't really scream fun. I think this place had lots of potential despite the age of the building by just tweaking a couple things which would make everyone's experience that much more enjoyable. Will I be back soon? Maybe not. Do I want to be back? Of course. Given there is basically no places in town like this I think this place has lots of room for improvement.

First off, it is ironic since we were designated to sit in their "party room" where food and drinks were allowed, but I guess everyone wants to make a buck even though I am 1000% certain they weren't selling what I am required to take in. My friend paid for the party and was supposed to have a designated host, which she didn't; however, she spoke to the owner who mitigated some of the issues they were having, which is great. Overall, I wasn't impressed, however. I'll never come back to a business that doesn't allow a pregnant woman to have water and with rude staff. I would have happily bought water from them but still needed mine with the designated nutrients. I tried to explain this but was met with rude responses such as, "Well, you can have it if you plan to drop off your son, then leave." Clearly, this individual is not a parent because this parent doesn't just "drop off" her kid anywhere. So, needless to say, one more place to mark off my list and to never return. I would have been more appreciative of a refusal of service than basically a slew of ultimatums. The owner was not present when this occurred and likely would not have considering pregnancy is protected by ADA. Too bad because I'm off during the summer, and my son had a blast, and I probably would have brought him here a couple of times.

They changed their pricing to free admission, and you pay only for what you ride or do. Some things are free. They grown their own pumpkins and corn, which is SOOOO COOOOL. They have a corn maze and corn pit where the kids can swim in an ocean of corn. Be ready to leave with corn in your underwear if you get in. There are pony rides, singing pumpkins, a tube slide, bouncy castles, and this year they had barrel rides. I saw someone comment that the hay ride was nothing more than driving around the lot and looking at storage. That was 100% untrue. Last year the hayride rode through a scary tunnel and it was nicely decorated for Halloween. This year the barrels rode by the haunted house, which was enough of a scare for smaller children. My daughter, who is 7, loved it. Children don't see the world the way we do. Where an adult is riding and criticizing, like the reviewer, the children are happy to be on something new, moving. My daughter wanted to go to Halloween Town EVERY DAY, so we tried! Since admission was free, it really made that easier on us. She is obsessed with anything to do with Halloween so imagine how it went when we had to explained they were going to be closed for a little while. I'm hoping they will plan more festivities throughout the year. There aren't a lot of places for children to go in Bakersfield, and this family have devoted their lives to making a place where families can do things together at an affordable price. I talked to the owner and she said that was their inspiration. For anyone to give a bad review of their farm is upsetting because they certainly don't have to do the things they're doing. I'm sure the cost of admission barely covers what it costs to pay their bills. As a community, we should support local businesses. This is one deserving of support. Aside from that they have a beautiful thing going and Bakersfield children finally have a place, centrally located, to enjoy! It's too bad they can't grow Christmas trees! Maybe little palm trees? The neighborhood looks like a lot warehouse buildings. They are open for bingo Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays only. Doors open at 1PM. This is when you can grab a seat and start buying pull tabs. Early bird begins at 5PM. Regular bingo starts at 6PM. They have machines and paper you can daub. I'm including a photo of tonight's price sheet. I bought a machine with everything and a single sheet of paper to daub for all possible games. I paid $137. There is a snack bar. The menu changes. Tonight was bbq ribs, fried cabbage, special beans and corned bread all for $10. Popcorn was $1.50 and drinks were $2. Hotdog with Mac salad and beans was $8. The food was amazing. Tasted like I was a guest at a locals house for dinner. So good. You are welcome to bring your own food and non-alcoholic beverages. Pull tabs are hot here! They run quite a few pull tab games. Tonight, several players won over $1,000 on pull tab bingo. Payouts for bingo games is $200 for early bird, and $300 for regular games. The people working and playing were super friendly and helpful. I received a free dauber for it being my first time. Super-nice! Parking is tight. I was told I could park in the lot behind the hall, on the street or across the street. I had a great time. Looking forward to returning.
