Had several bagels here recently - they were all excellent. Great toppings and nice firm, chewy bagel. Definitely a place that is worth coming back to regularly when you want a high quality bagel with some creative choices beyond the usuals.

I wanted to try a new bagel shop with different flavors, and uncle steveys bagels did not disappoint. This store is in an area that has super convenient street parking and even a parking lot across the street. There was a constant flow of traffic into the store so you know it's a local favorite. I opted to try the loroco and garlic onion bagels with cream cheese. I will say these bagels do cost a premium as these two bagels and cream cheese came out to $15.36, but they were top quality and when I say they don't cheat you on the cream cheese I am not exaggerating. I would likely only get one bagel with cream cheese next time and just split the cream cheese among 2-3 bagels instead. Loroco is their most unique, it has a baked blend of oaxaca and jack cheese with loroco flower buds and I really enjoyed it. The garlic onion was garlic forward and as a garlic lover I was very happy with the bagel. These bagels are chewy on the inside and have a slightly crispy bottom which is my preference for bagels. There were plenty of tables to sit at and enjoy your food, and the order came out pretty fast. Overall this shop has delicious and unique bagels you should check them out next time you have a hankering for a high quality bagel.

Neat bagels ever. Beautifully designed spot. My only 2 cents to owners is speed of service. Shouldn't take 7 minutes to get bagels should take like 3(not too busy) also I offered 4 bagels and asked for cream cheese and jam but they assumed I wanted them to make a sandwich with it and I got charged $26, which is ok but next time I'll just get the bagels

Stopped by here on a Monday morning. I purchased several bagels for my coworkers - rosemary, jalapeño, hot honey cheddar, and the everything bagel. I didnt get a picture of them all, but everyone enjoyed all the flavors. I had the everything bagel and it was delicious. The seasoning was on the top and the bottom of the bagel. The bagel was crisp on the outside and light on the inside.

Uncle Stevey's is hands down my favorite bagel spot in all of LA--and I've been to most of them. There's just something about their texture and flavor that makes them stand out. They have a great variety of bagels, all fresh and perfectly chewy. Bagel & Cream Cheese ($6): I usually go with the rosemary olive oil bagel paired with their scallion cream cheese, toasted extra dark--it's a must-try combo. The bagels have that perfect crisp exterior with a soft, chewy center, and the cream cheese is rich and flavorful. Service & Atmosphere: The service is always quick and friendly, and sometimes the owner is there helping out, which adds a nice personal touch. The shop itself isn't very big, but there are a few tables if you want to sit and enjoy your food. They even have complimentary tea and coffee, which is a great bonus. Overall, Uncle Stevey's delivers on quality, service, and charm--easily the best bagel spot in LA.

After *finally* trying Uncle Stevey's Bagels yesterday, I'll say their bagels are pretty solid... but maybe ever so slightly overhyped. I ordered two bagels and preferred the jalapeño bagel over the rosemary olive oil one. The outside of the bagel had a perfectly chewy texture while the inside was a little dense for my liking. The rosemary olive oil bagel was coated in oil, which I didn't love. I wish the rosemary was infused into the batter rather than just coating (which fell off). I would come back, but I'm not rushing back.

Big flavor and nice chewy bagels here. This is not your average bagel joint: Berbere bagel with scallion cream cheese - massive spice bomb, warming and chewy and spicy and all that you want from a spicy bagel. Loved it. Jalapeño bagel (no cream cheese) - this was flatter but also chewy. Again with the big flavor, jalapeño spice and fruitiness all there but not over the top. Don't miss this joint if this sounds even vaguely tempting.

Stopped by Uncle Stevey's Bagels in El Segundo after hearing good things. The bagels have that nice East Coast-style texture -- crispy outside, chewy inside, and really fresh. I tried a few things: the Uncle Stevey (lox) sandwich, the Lew (bacon & egg), the Marion (avocado & crumbled egg), plus a few bagels on their own -- cheddar hot honey, onion garlic, and rosemary olive oil. My favorites were the lox, the Lew, and the cheddar hot honey bagel. The place has a quiet, chill vibe with a good amount of tables to sit. Staff was nice, service was quick, and everything came out fresh. Overall, a solid local bagel spot -- definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.

My daughter had to be at her meet by 6:45, so I showed up at 6:15 to pick up some bagels for breakfast. No one was in there when I arrived but the employees seemed to be working on take out orders already. Their menu had the right amount of breakfast type of bagel sandwiches that I was looking for - a bagel with cream cheese, a bagel & egg only sandwich, and a bacon, egg, and cheese bagel. The bagel consistency was nice and chewy. The only qualm was with hubby's order. I asked for easy on the cream cheese and his bagel ended up with A LOT of it on his bagel so he had to scrape it off. Usually I'd eat the extra cream cheese but I had a bagel breakfast sandwich instead. *Note for next time: Get the bagel sliced and toasted with the cream cheese on the side I also picked up a loaf of their sourdough bread. Hubby is picky about sourdough but he really enjoyed the tang/flavor of their bread. It would definitely be somewhere to stop by when we're passing through or in the area again.

Bagels are chewy and very flavorful. We usually buy a half dozen with a cream cheese tub and toast them at home. What we don't eat that day go in the freezer. The staff does an adequate job taking orders but it always amuses me how 3 varieties of 6 bagels becomes a memory challenge that requires multiple times repeating the order. This has been true at every one of the half dozen bagel shops we have visited. There is plenty of parking behind the store and the seating inside is adequate as well. The electronic menu boards suffer from the same shortcoming that every establishment that uses them. You need to wait until the screen that you want to read pops up again. Would recommend for great bagels. At this point, haven't tried the sandwiches or anything else on the menu except for the rye bread loaf which didn't pack the same punch as the bagels.

Went into here today this morning and did not appreciate the frigid employee Lorena who gave me her bad attitude when I asked if they can rush my order since I was short on time. If she had need any of her orders rushed and the role was reversed, I'd be glad to help her with that. She turned around and scolded me with her obnoxious rude af foul attitude that I can call in for my order before I got here. I was driving, ain't no way I'm calling when I have to focus on my driving. I didn't ask for her opinion. Let alone her mouth of talking back to me. Just do what the customer wants and shut up. DUH. Furthermore, who the hell talks to customers that way? If she's not happy to work here or she's not getting laid in her life therefore making her be such a bitch, then don't work here. Her customer service attitude was SO WACK. If she's having a bad morning, don't let that shit out on customers. We are the ones paying your ass (your paycheck is from our money). General Manager guy, when you stand at the next register, look up at your surroundings to notice so you can greet your customers. That, being me. You should por favor train yourself and your staff to be more professional of nicer etiquette. No one deserves to be treated like that. By her. And you got young employees walking around looking busy working but ONLY ONE register open with one cashier while next register can be used too but isn't while you have a long line, makes NO sense. At all. Period. Train your young employees to work faster. Help the customers out in line and ordering. I saw the one dude in front of the line ordering took forever like he was struggling and then he walked to the side unprepared without the young cashier trying to help him out with making his order go smoother and faster. No wonder the line hardly moves. Why have 2 registers for when you're only using just one? Emphasis on only using just one. Makes no sense at all. We customers want to get in and get out. Not be there stuck in the sloth line. DO better.

Some dishes could've been executed better. Going down the list of dishes I had here: - Bacon Cheddar Buttermilk Biscuits: These were more like scones rather than biscuits. Crunchy with good bacon and cheddar flavor. - Japanese Hamachi Crudo: Unique and I liked the citrusy flavor and creamy texture. However, 3 small slices of fish for $26 was overpriced. - Leafy Greens & Radicchio: Solid and crispy salad with a nice tangy dressing. The cheese also added a lot of sharp flavor which was nice. - Skirt Steak: Good flavor and char, but a bit tough. Also some dry pieces. - Chilean Sea Bass: Lemon orzo risotto was creamy and delicious. The sea bass itself was okay, nothing special. It felt overpowered by the risotto. The fish was moist and flaky though. - 20 Oz Prime Beef Ribeye: Quality was subpar relative to price. Portion size was solid by the steak itself was inconsistent. Some of the pieces were rarer while others were more well-done even though we asked for medium rare. There were also some dry pieces which I did not like. Flavor was good though. - Strawberry and Olive Oil Cake: Was confused since there was just a thin layer of cake, but realized the title also referred to the mousse. I would title it 'Strawberry Mousse with Olive Oil Cake" to make it less confusing. Regardless, this was a delicious dessert! Love the fruity strawberry and savory pistachio flavors as well as the smooth textures. - S'mores sundae: Got this on the house for my aunt's birthday. A generous portion but the components were a bit too sweet for my liking. I visited this restaurant for a birthday that I organized and my experience was overall good. Reservation was made easy using OpenTable and I could also mention it was for a birthday occasion. The ambiance was gorgeous with good mood lighting. Good for group and 1 on 1 dining. Parking is metered or street parking. Overall, I probably wouldn't come out of my way to dine here again, but my experience wasn't bad just not significant enough to put in my rotation. Would come back if someone treated me here though.
