The bagels at Uncle Stevey's Bagels are excellent! They have, as promised, a crispy exterior with a chewy interior. And the cream cheese is as creamy as I could ever want it to be. I ordered the Uncle Stevey sandwich with lox, cream cheese, pickled onion and dill on an everything bagel. The cream cheese portion was generous, and the pickled onion was tasty and balanced (not too pickled). The lox was on the thicker side, which I loved. And the dill added a nice herby freshness to the sandwich. I also tried the rosemary olive oil bagel, which was great! I like the unique flavors offered here. I can't wait to return to try more bagel and cream cheese flavors. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The shop has a small counter to take orders, and a small glass case displaying the available bagels. Next to the pickup counter, there is a small seating area that seats less than 20 people total, and one restroom. There are rolls of paper towels on the tables to use as napkins. It is very casual and relaxed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I think the value is pretty good overall. Sandwiches are in the $12-16 range, and individual bagels are $3-4 with deals for 1/2 a dozen or a dozen +. Adding cream cheese to a single bagel is $3 which pushes the cost to the higher end, but you can also buy an 8 oz tub for $7 or $8 instead. It's great to have a solid bagel shop in the area, and I look forward to returning and trying more flavors!

Had several bagels here recently - they were all excellent. Great toppings and nice firm, chewy bagel. Definitely a place that is worth coming back to regularly when you want a high quality bagel with some creative choices beyond the usuals.

Great little bagel shop!!! The chili crisp is amazing!!!!! The service was great and [[HIGHLIGHT]]it was a nice location.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The bagels were crisp on the outside and nice and soft on the inside. There are a lot of different varieties I have never had before.

I wanted to try a new bagel shop with different flavors, and uncle steveys bagels did not disappoint. This store is in an area that has super convenient street parking and even a parking lot across the street. There was a constant flow of traffic into the store so you know it's a local favorite. I opted to try the loroco and garlic onion bagels with cream cheese. I will say these bagels do cost a premium as these two bagels and cream cheese came out to $15.36, but they were top quality and when I say they don't cheat you on the cream cheese I am not exaggerating. I would likely only get one bagel with cream cheese next time and just split the cream cheese among 2-3 bagels instead. Loroco is their most unique, it has a baked blend of oaxaca and jack cheese with loroco flower buds and I really enjoyed it. The garlic onion was garlic forward and as a garlic lover I was very happy with the bagel. These bagels are chewy on the inside and have a slightly crispy bottom which is my preference for bagels. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There were plenty of tables to sit at and enjoy your food, and the order came out pretty fast.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall this shop has delicious and unique bagels you should check them out next time you have a hankering for a high quality bagel.

Stopped by here on a Monday morning. I purchased several bagels for my coworkers - rosemary, jalapeño, hot honey cheddar, and the everything bagel. I didnt get a picture of them all, but everyone enjoyed all the flavors. I had the everything bagel and it was delicious. The seasoning was on the top and the bottom of the bagel. The bagel was crisp on the outside and light on the inside.

Neat bagels ever. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Beautifully designed spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My only 2 cents to owners is speed of service. Shouldn't take 7 minutes to get bagels should take like 3(not too busy) also I offered 4 bagels and asked for cream cheese and jam but they assumed I wanted them to make a sandwich with it and I got charged $26, which is ok but next time I'll just get the bagels

Uncle Stevey's is hands down my favorite bagel spot in all of LA--and I've been to most of them. There's just something about their texture and flavor that makes them stand out. They have a great variety of bagels, all fresh and perfectly chewy. Bagel & Cream Cheese ($6): I usually go with the rosemary olive oil bagel paired with their scallion cream cheese, toasted extra dark--it's a must-try combo. The bagels have that perfect crisp exterior with a soft, chewy center, and the cream cheese is rich and flavorful. Service & Atmosphere: The service is always quick and friendly, and sometimes the owner is there helping out, which adds a nice personal touch. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The shop itself isn't very big, but there are a few tables if you want to sit and enjoy your food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They even have complimentary tea and coffee, which is a great bonus. Overall, Uncle Stevey's delivers on quality, service, and charm--easily the best bagel spot in LA.

After *finally* trying Uncle Stevey's Bagels yesterday, I'll say their bagels are pretty solid... but maybe ever so slightly overhyped. I ordered two bagels and preferred the jalapeño bagel over the rosemary olive oil one. The outside of the bagel had a perfectly chewy texture while the inside was a little dense for my liking. The rosemary olive oil bagel was coated in oil, which I didn't love. I wish the rosemary was infused into the batter rather than just coating (which fell off). I would come back, but I'm not rushing back.

Big flavor and nice chewy bagels here. This is not your average bagel joint: Berbere bagel with scallion cream cheese - massive spice bomb, warming and chewy and spicy and all that you want from a spicy bagel. Loved it. Jalapeño bagel (no cream cheese) - this was flatter but also chewy. Again with the big flavor, jalapeño spice and fruitiness all there but not over the top. Don't miss this joint if this sounds even vaguely tempting.

Stopped by Uncle Stevey's Bagels in El Segundo after hearing good things. The bagels have that nice East Coast-style texture -- crispy outside, chewy inside, and really fresh. I tried a few things: the Uncle Stevey (lox) sandwich, the Lew (bacon & egg), the Marion (avocado & crumbled egg), plus a few bagels on their own -- cheddar hot honey, onion garlic, and rosemary olive oil. My favorites were the lox, the Lew, and the cheddar hot honey bagel. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place has a quiet, chill vibe with a good amount of tables to sit.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff was nice, service was quick, and everything came out fresh. Overall, a solid local bagel spot -- definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.

I've had Uncle Stevey's bookmarked, and finally was able to go. I went on a Friday morning around 9:30, fully expecting to have to wait in a 30+ minute line.. to my shock, it was empty! Parked right in front and walked straight into the store to the register. I got 3 bagels- an everything w/ scallion cream cheese, a Marion on sesame (the avocado spread w/ crumbled hard-boiled egg on top), and my 3rd bagel was pretty much a BLT w/ the avocado spread on a garlic onion bagel (can't remember the exact name of it). The bagels were good, but to be honest nothing SUPER special. If I had to wait, I would have been disappointed.. they were just fine. I prefer NY bagels.. I thought that's what these would be :( Anyways, if you want to check them out for yourself, maybe go when I went- Friday, 9:30am.. parking is easy, the space is perfectly nice, and the staff is warm and friendly. I don't know, it's sick season and maybe my taste buds are just off!

My daughter had to be at her meet by 6:45, so I showed up at 6:15 to pick up some bagels for breakfast. No one was in there when I arrived but the employees seemed to be working on take out orders already. Their menu had the right amount of breakfast type of bagel sandwiches that I was looking for - a bagel with cream cheese, a bagel & egg only sandwich, and a bacon, egg, and cheese bagel. The bagel consistency was nice and chewy. The only qualm was with hubby's order. I asked for easy on the cream cheese and his bagel ended up with A LOT of it on his bagel so he had to scrape it off. Usually I'd eat the extra cream cheese but I had a bagel breakfast sandwich instead. *Note for next time: Get the bagel sliced and toasted with the cream cheese on the side I also picked up a loaf of their sourdough bread. Hubby is picky about sourdough but he really enjoyed the tang/flavor of their bread. It would definitely be somewhere to stop by when we're passing through or in the area again.

The staff does an adequate job taking orders but it always amuses me how 3 varieties of 6 bagels becomes a memory challenge that requires multiple times repeating the order. This has been true at every one of the half dozen bagel shops we have visited. There is plenty of parking behind the store and the seating inside is adequate as well. The electronic menu boards suffer from the same shortcoming that every establishment that uses them. You need to wait until the screen that you want to read pops up again. Would recommend for great bagels. At this point, haven't tried the sandwiches or anything else on the menu except for the rye bread loaf which didn't pack the same punch as the bagels.

I had it on a sesame seed bagel with a very tasty scallion cream cheese. The food is solid. It's as tasty and well put together as I remember it to be. We started with the bacon cheddar buttermilk biscuits. I think these have been here since day one. We quickly moved on to dinner, here's what the table ordered: Lobster & Sweet Corn Risotto - the risotto was cooked perfectly. Be sure to mix that poblano pepper butter in the middle up, it adds a great smoky chili flavor to each bite. My oinly complaint about this dish is that they used claw meat. I'm just not a fan of lobster claw, it's too gelatinously rubbery for me. Skirt Steak - Oooo, this was medium rare to perfection. The smoked paprika chimichurri gave a burst of flavor and a mild heat at the back of my throat. Chilean Sea Bass - Chilean sea bass always cuts like buttah! 2 people ordered this at our table and I'm pretty sure they loved it, that side of the table was pretty silent for 15 - 20 mins. Pork Porterhouse - This dish had the most flavor. The spaetzle was cooked and browned on the griddle, it had a fantastic crispy crust. It was a little on the salty side BUT I think 's because it needed more carbs to tame the salt. For me, it would have been PERFECT with a little rice or mashed potatoes or creamed sunchokes. Parking still sucks in MB but right behind the restaurant is a parking garage that's free after 6 pm.
