Hi-Fi is a little coffee shop located on PCH. It's tucked away and if you aren't looking for it, can miss it. There is minimal seating indoor and outdoors. Parking isn't the best but there is a small lot in back that is available. We ordered the Chai and Honey Latte. The Chai latte was well balanced, not overly sweet or overpowering. The Honey Latte was bright and had a hint of honey but the milk overpowered the espresso. Another downside was that they didn't have almond milk (not sure if they don't carry it regularly or if it was just the day we came that they didn't have it). Prices are a tad inflated. This is VERY MID coffee. I was super excited to try the French toast latte... what a scam to call it that because it's literally not good at all and does not favor French toast in any way. My husband commented the latte tastes like the girls attitude that made it.... Just BAD. We came in 45 minutes before closing but she was super irritated, had all the pastries cleaned up and seemed annoyed any additional patrons came in. Solid matcha latte! I added vanilla syrup to make it sweeter. I love that they don't charge extra for alternative milk options like oat or coconut. Their drinks are a bit pricey. My mom tried the French toast latte which has maple syrup, vanilla, & cinnamon. If you like your drinks on the sweeter side I'd recommend adding some agave in your drink before you go! Quality espresso, unique and creative blends of syrup/flavored lattes, it just doesn't feel like the espresso is strong enough even though the quality is there. I want to like it more than I do, we have visited each time on our visits to LA area and I rank in my top, but it's not my favorite spot in the area. This location is a very tight spot, but thankfully it wasn't busy. Bf got the french toast latte and felt like it wasn't sweet enough for him, I did the coyote and as much as I love orange-vanilla (and cinnamon) flavored things, I just don't think orange and espresso pair well together (IMO). I ordered a ceremonial matcha with coyote syrup & oatmilk and a blueberry scone. The scone was good but a bit too sweet for my personal taste. The matcha was super disappointing. It is a small coffee shop with limited seating, about only 2 seats inside. There is more seating outside behind the building by the parking areas. I maybe the last person on earth to have discovered Hi-Fi Espresso. It was only by chance that I even found it, as I was next door buying cheese from Cultured Slice. I was a bit uncertain the first time ordering Bees Knees...since it included spicy honey. Basically it's a yummy concoction of 2 shots of espresso, mocha, oat milk & spicy honey. I have never tasted anything so unique at the same time so so good, yummmm! It is THE go-to drink for me every time I go there now. Because I did try the lavender latte that my friend recommended. Although it is very good as well, I'm pretty bias about Bees Knees. Taking a star off only because their pastries are delicious but that I wish they would offer more. The baristas here have been consistently friendly and attentive with every visit at random times. Kudos team, you guys are amazing! visited the hermosa location i believe they have a few shops around the south bay hi-fi has been on my list for awhile now i saw there are participating in TGTG so i was like PERFECT!! reserved an order and went to pick up during the reserved time i had to order coffee, of course! i ordered the iced French Toast Latte (maple syrup, vanilla, cinnamon) first sip! oh my. happiness in a cup cafe is super clean seating inside and a few bistro sets outside the barista was friendly and up for small talk there is a parking lot in the back and you can enter from there its right next to CVS i think ill try the Bee's Knees on my next visit xx read more

Delicious!! Had a chance to try their unsweetened (or you can have it sweetened) Macadamia nut creamer with my latte and WOW! So yummy. Their cold brew is perfectly strong and has great blends of flavor as well. Paired with a fruit danish and their spinach danish - great combination. Although I'm not a huge coffee drinker, I'm always keen on trying out local and trendy cafes in town. In comes Hi-Fi Espresso, located just a few blocks from the beach and conveniently on PCH to get around town. I don't know how the set-up was pre-pandemic, but the interior of the shop only has a couch and a few counter chairs (but I don't think you can sit inside), as well as patio outdoor seating. It's a cute shop, with your typical, Americana/surfer art work that's representative of the local beach community. Staff was very friendly and efficient, and I really liked how they handed my French Toast Latte to me uncapped to show off their beautiful latte art; I was compelled to take a photo before I capped and drank it. French Toast Latte actually tasted like French toast! Creamy with strong cinnamon overtones, I was beyond impressed. I am indifferent to French toast itself, but this drink made me want to give it another chance! Price is steep at $6.00, but the quality is spot-on.
