If you drive by and see this place open, it's worth a stop! The ambiance isn't anything to write home about, but don't let the decor fool you -- excellent service, delicious breakfast sandwiches (on a croissant is a huge plus!) and tasty donuts! What more could you ask for?

I love places like this!! The epitome of an old-school donut shop with no-frills -- just solid donuts and breakfast items, with the old linoleum tabletops and good vibes. We got three Meat, Egg, and Cheese croissants and a half-dozen donuts (they generously threw in an extra broken donut too!). This place makes me feel nostalgic for my hometown donut shop. I can't find those powdered jelly donuts anywhere but these types of shops and they just hit different. Cash only for purchases under $5. Service was quick and friendly; they also have a drive-thru, but that line can get pretty long in the mornings.

Quick service, helpful staff. We went at 9am on a Saturday and our order came out quick! The sandwiches were both good but bagels were a little dry. Donuts were great.

I actually really enjoyed Bakery Plus. It's a standalone business, right off of Michigan, and unless you're looking for it, it's easy to miss. The prices are reasonable, and its a no frills donut/coffee shop. The service was pretty standard, but we did visit on a busy Sunday morning, and the two employees were very helpful. The inside is not much to look at, there is a back wall full of your donut choices, a soda machine, sugar and milk station for coffee, and some booths. This was EXACTLY what we were looking for, after being tired of the almost overwhelming amount of chain donut restaurants surrounding our neighborhood.

A nice neighborhood find that we stopped by after locating on Yelp. They have some tables to dine in, but most people get their food to go. Ordered an onion bagel, sausage egg and cheese. The bagel is not dense, but light and fluffy. The sandwiches are made to order so can take a little longer to make. The sausage is seasoned nicely. Definitely fills you up and a decent value for $4.49. The staff took time to converse with us between customers and made recommendations. Also tried the chocolate honey glazed doughnut which was a little crumbly. A nice find on our travels.

What a great spot!!! Went on donut day and they were bust but quick. Grabbed some of the best donuts in town and I'll be back. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The donuts are fluffy but hearty yeast ones. So good!

Delicious, sandwich was small but good. I also got the BLT and a glazed donut. The service was very hospitable, it was too Asian guys that took my order, and they were very thorough with the order which I appreciated. I've had many of their donuts over the last few years because a lot of my students/staff members bring them in. But now that I got to eat the breakfast, I can't lie it's not bad at all. however, I know that there is better restaurants out there for sandwiches, but if I had to come back again, then I would and it wouldn't be necessarily a bad thing.

I love this place! Highly recommend for everyone to stop by and get breakfast here, especially if you are on the go! They make your order fast and it's delicious!

One of my favorite local spots to get custom donuts and egg sandwiches in the SODO area. It's open from 6am-1pm Monday-Saturday. Prices are very reasonable ranging $3-$5 range for a bagel/croissant sandwich. They used to be a cash only place now if you're spending over $5 they take card. The custom donuts are perfect size and delicious. They are about $1.50 or less and they have a large selection to choose from. It's very basic inside with no decorations but they have a few tables to eat at if you're planning to stay. The staff is very nice and helpful. Your order is normally filled within a few minutes. If you're looking for a quick and tasty breakfast place then Bakery Plus is it!

Friends, this place is proof that compromise can be beautiful. Sweet meets spicy meets (meats?) savory. Every bite felt like someone dared a pitmaster and a pastry chef to create the ultimate brunch, and somehow they pulled it off. The only drawback? Ventilation. It's stuffy inside. Plan on smelling like a smoky glazed donut the rest of the day. PS. If anyone wants to bring this concept to KC, I'd like to be considered an early investor. Or at the very least, a highly enthusiastic taste tester. Holy hell. Brunch of champions.

Parking wasn't an issue either. As I walked in, I was greeted by who seemed to be the owner and a young woman. Very nice, lovely staff. Everyone was so sweet. My only issue was that they didn't have a good portion of their menu ready and it's mostly because they didn't have the gravy for their dishes. The ones we wanted came with gravy and the staff let us know they were behind on making it. So we pivoted and tried their prime rib smash burger but unfortunately that felt a little disappointing. For the price that it was, you'd think that you'd get a decently portioned burger or some sides with it but it was super tiny. And the bun felt like grocery bread, the type you can get for a home bbq. It was still delicious but rather disappointing at the same time. We ended up having to order a third dish just to feel satisfied and at least it was very good. The bowls are worth it, maybe not the burger but the bowls for sure! I also snagged up a donut and truthfully that is one of the best donuts I've ever had. Another downside to this spot and why I didn't give it a 4 star is because how slow the service was. We watched a whole family get up and leave because it was taking so long, I actually felt bad for the staff and owner. The place has great tasting food, just needs a little shaping up. Maybe someone who can run the kitchen as a head chef. Overall, I still recommend the place but just know that you'll be waiting a while and some things may not be available.
