My favorite bakery! I love the other locations but they're a bit further out, so I was thrilled to see this one open. The service was great / staff were all so attentive and sweet. I love the artwork, how parking was easy, plus several seats available (including outdoors). I've tried almost all the pies and cupcakes from the previous shops and they have never disappointed. I got a Viet coffee today and it was so good, down to the chipped ice. It's not as strong as the ones you get elsewhere, but it was perfect for me, and would get it every morning if I could. Since the banana pudding and red velvet cupcakes are my favorite, I had to leave with those too. :) I can't wait to visit more often and try some of the other things I haven't had yet, now that it's closer to me (it might be dangerous and have me gaining several pounds though..). *I love that they have a vegan section, and offer dog treats too!

This neighborhood bakery and coffee shop serves a nice range of classic sweets with a spin. There are cookies, cupcakes, pies and cakes. There is also a nice selection of beverages including new Orléans and Vietnamese coffees. I highly recommend the pumpkin bread. It is full of warm fall spices and studded with bittersweet chocolate chips, a perfect complement. Hot tip: pick up one of their store tees for a lifetime of free cookie or cupcake with every visit!

Not sure what kind of vibe they are going for - are they a coffee shop or just a grab and go pastry shop? Seating is quite limited; they have a bar top table that goes across the window on each side of the door, then 2 tables that seats 4 and then some other small seating so it's not a coffee shop vibe where you can bring your laptop and do some work. They don't even have public WiFi for you to use, which I thought was quite odd during these times with technology. Otherwise, the service was quick. They have pastries and goodies that are easy to order and they have it ready for you to go. The coolest thing about Bakeshop for me is that they have Vietnamese iced coffee and New Orleans Iced Coffee. I feel like they are technically the same but with different coffee beans. I prefer the New Orleans one. And they have a Vietnamese iced coffee cake that I want to try if I go back.

New dessert spot in downtown Vienna offering an assortment of items - cupcakes, cakes, pies, bread, macaroons, pudding, coffee, etc. I haven't been too pleased recently with various bakeries in the dmv as they all taste the same. We've had a few really good pies this summer so I wanted to try their pies. Decide on Coconut Cream and Chocolate Nutella and top it off with a refreshing Vietnamese coffee. Yummy pies...fresh, creamy and nice crust. Loved em both. The Viet iced coffee is good but a bit on the sweet side so take that into account if you order one. Overall I can see us coming back for dessert after a meal in downtown Vienna. Glad they are here!

What an exciting new spot in Vienna/Tysons! I've noticed this place in the City of Falls Church but never got the opportunity to try it. Now, I finally had a bite of their sweets and coffee offerings! The Samoa bar was exactly to my liking * chef's kiss * The ambiance is much more spacious and trendy. All the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. I can't wait to return for another taste of the wide selection, from dessert drinks to baked goods!

Another location for Bakeshop; indoor and outdoor seating available. Lots of baked goodies and staff is helpful with suggestions and friendly. Our dog also absolutely loves the biscuits here - they are quality unlike the rock hard treats other bakeries offer. The coffees are a bit on the sweeter side - easy fix, just less condensed milk.

Really cute bake shop! Spacious cafe with good amount of seating and was clean. Went right before closing and still had a good selection of baked goods and dessert. I got the Vietnamese Iced Coffee. It came out quick & was delicious! The staff were friendly and helpful. Would come back and recommend to friends

Incredibly cute new bakery in Vienna. Walking in being greeted by delicious smells and super cool art on the wall really sets the vibe immediately. This was my first visit and I was blown away by the variety of baked goods they have, both sweet and savory which I was excited to see. Doing seasonal flavors, offering gluten-free options, and vegan options, I don't know how they keep up but it's impressive how much variety they're able to offer. There is plenty of seating inside for both smaller and larger groups, the menu is clear and easy to read, and quite a large handful of their treats are displayed up front at the counter (or in the cooler) so you can actually see them before you buy them. I came with my husband and we split a Vietnamese Iced Coffee, Blueberry Oatmeal Cookie, and a Nashville Hot Breakfast Biscuit. Blueberry Oatmeal Cookie: A bit on the sweet side for my taste, but that's a personal preference thing and not a knock against the cookie. Perfect texture, the oats were cooked enough to not have a dry, mealy feel but the cookie was still so soft and chewy. Absolutely packed with blueberries. Vietnamese Iced Coffee: Honestly super disappointing. I see other reviews saying it was great and really strong, but I could not disagree more. Not sure if this is a consistency issue and I just got a bad coffee, but mine was so milky and weak. The paleness was an immediate give away. When you order a Vietnamese iced coffee you expect an incredibly strong, aromatic coffee and this one tasted more like sweet milk with a hint of coffee. Definitely would not order again. Nashville Hot Breakfast Sandwich: One of the best bakery biscuits I've ever had. It was so soft and moist, and actually as spicy as advertised. The only issue I had was it was supposed to have a drizzle of honey, but there was maybe one bit of the sandwich that had honey on it so I'm not sure what happened there. It was a little one note without the honey but still overall a good sandwich and a great biscuit. This I absolutely would order again, and I would love to see them expand their biscuit options because no one is doing a biscuit as good as they're doing.

We had the Vietnamese coffee, the pistachio, coconut cookie, The, ginger snap cream pie and a gluten-free brownie and they were so delicious. We can't stop talking about how good it was.

Strawberry scone and Vietnamese coffee are on point!

Bakeshop is the best bakery in NoVA. Their Arlington and Falls Church locations are fantastic, and this location is just as good with better parking.

BLUF: It's a nice neighborhood addition. Small indoor seating area and a few outdoor tables in front of the location next to the parking lot. It's not an especially attractive location (inside or outside) overall. Seems popular and can get busy. Parking is decent, but if other popular businesses move in, parking could get tight. Pricey. Smallish portions. Nothing we had was heaven on the taste buds. Nice, helpful staff...which is always a plus up but didn't see them actively cleaning tables or seats which badly needed good wipe downs. None of us tried any cupcakes or cake slices, so if that's their forte, we may have missed out. However, when at a bakery, I'm looking for multiple strengths meaning that one should be able to order just about anything, and if the hype is spot on, then there should be a clear yum factor no matter what is chosen. While none of us ordered cake, we did order multiple other items, and none of us found them particularly outstanding and worth the cost. The coffee was ok, but I'd much rather go to my fav coffeehouse or roaster. They're great at marketing. Menu item descriptions certainly get the tastebuds going in anticipation. First bite, however, is a completely different story. I really could have gotten a grocery store or wholesale warehouse baked good at 1/3 of the cost and been happier with how it tasted. If my tastebuds couldn't be lured by the taste of their staples, how could I be motivated to drop $50 + on a cake? I was so excited to try Bakeshop and wanted to buy into the hype, especially since service was good at this new location, I'm all for small biz owners, and I love a good bakery cafe. Being able to order ahead via the website is convenient albeit slower than standing in line and ordering in the shop even when there's a long line of patrons. Worth the drive? For some, maybe, but for me, only if I was in the immediate area.

Bakeshop, a new bakery cafe on Maple Avenue in Vienna, VA, offers indulgent American desserts and a cozy atmosphere. We previously visited its Falls Church locations for various occasions, especially for its vegan cakes, and are glad it opened a Vienna branch. Like its other sites, it features a range of baked goods, including vegan cupcakes, tres leches cake, banana pudding, sandwiches, pound cakes, cookies, and espresso drinks. We enjoyed several items that were truly good: - Their coffee was exceptional--rich and bold with minimal acidity. We especially liked the Iced Vietnamese Coffee, which was strong, with a hint of vanilla, and a take on authentic Vietnamese coffee. - The baked goods were also excellent. The oatmeal cookie was subtly sweet and light, and Linda's pound cake was similarly light with a hint of butter and not overly sweet- just right.

This new Bakeshop offered customers samples of their cookies and loaf breads, plus a free cupcake of their choice for their grand opening today. I got the red velvet cupcake, brookie cookie, and pistachio and taro macarons...yum! My son and I like their Arlington location, so I knew this 3rd one would also be good. Welcome to Vienna!

I've been to this location when it first opened years ago and they've really upped their menu and decorations inside since. The ambiance inside is beautiful, ideal for anyone looking for a good Instagram picture. There's so many angles and details so that no matter where you're sitting, there's a good vibe. There's also gorgeous seating outside since it can get crowded. For food, you order from the front and they'll call you when the food is ready. We ordered the dubai gelato and pistachio lokmas. Both were presented tastefully to make sure our eyes and cameras wanted to eat before our stomachs. The dubai gelato was a quality dessert with a good ratio of milk: cream. The pistachio flavor was evident on top, but it was just a kinda tart vanilla ice cream with toppings. I did like it, however, and it paired well with the lokmas. The lokmas were fried to perfection, a nice amount of chewy, and covered with a good ratio of pistachio cream. They were a decent size and conducive to sharing. The prices of everything, overall, was pretty expensive, but the quality definitely made up for it. I'd recommend this cafe to someone looking for a unique sweet treat, catching up with a group of girl friends of 2-4 people, or for a first date!

Since we were back in the area for a DMV for a brief visit we knew exactly where we were stopping before heading to the airport. Hubs ordered his usual sausage, egg and cheese sandwich , and I ordered the bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich along with an iced mocha. I had completely forgotten they have a Starbucks on-site with a limited menu. Of course, I couldn't leave without grabbing a cookie and a chocolate croissant for later. The food arrived fresh, hot, and exactly as expected. The staff is always friendly and personable. You see professionals, students and the locals coming in and out, but there is seating available. Conversations are at a minimum and despite the attached restaurant you can still hear yourself and the other person without yelling. One thing I appreciate about Best Buns is the consistency. Whether it's been months or years between visits, the quality never seems to change. The sandwiches are flavorful, the ingredients taste fresh, and nothing feels like it was sitting around waiting to be reheated. Everything is prepared to order, and you can taste the difference. My sandwich disappeared one bite at a time, and Hubs completely demolished his croissant sandwich without hesitation. That's usually all the confirmation I need. Some restaurants are good. Some are memorable, but there are the places that become part of your routine whenever you're back in town. Best Buns has earned that status for us. Five stars earned! Consistently fresh. Consistently delicious. We'll be dropping in on another turn and burn later this month...
