That alone makes it a decent option for teleworking or a casual stop. As for the food--it reminded me quite a bit of Paris Baguette. Cakes seemed slightly more expensive, while pastries were more in line price-wise. I tried a jalapeño cheese croissant, a garlic butter bun, spinach egg bites, and a tiramisu iced coffee. The croissant was just okay, but the garlic butter bun stood out--nicely balanced between salty and sweet, and definitely the highlight. The egg bites were comparable to Starbucks; honestly, it's hard to say which is better, but Starbucks might have the edge in both portion size and price. The tiramisu iced coffee leaned too sweet--my partner especially felt it was a bit overdone. Ambiance was pleasant, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Would I come back? Probably to try the cakes. Otherwise, it's not a place I'd rush back to--but still worth checking out once.

So I thought I'd reach out to the owner to get a dinner comped (after the work was done, and many dozens of customers in the door for him). I texted to the number on the card given to me by the staff. He didn't reply for a week, so I said, "you are trying to turn a fan into a hater". He immediately texted back and said "sure I'll take care of you". I show up soon after. He serves me with a scowl on his face, and then when I'm done he laughs and says "never come back, but I'll pay for you this time". This coupled with the explosive diarrhea shows me that he intentionally poisoned me and invited me in just to screw with me. Disgusting place, disgusting owner, I can't say enough bad things about my experience here.

There were many people having a girls day, out with their daughters, and even having high tea as a family. For my cocktail, I chose a simple bubby rose', but my friends said their cherry blossom flavored tea inspired cocktail was amazing. As you can see, they did not cut any corners with the high tea treats, which ranged from savory to sweet. The peppery pink spread for the scone was one of my favorites. The playfulness of the colors, perfection of the shapes, and subtle but perfect flavors all engaged the senses. I cannot wait to return. For the price point, this high tea was incredible. They called the police on my partner and I after requesting a refund, she word for word stated 'I already said sorry what else do you want from me' and called the police on us for being 'aggressive' the owners, if it isn't her, should be ashamed of the people they're hiring, not only were they racist as hell, but they clearly don't know anything they're doing. The 'manager' is the big chinned girl at the register, and the other person is the employee. I felt so bad for her as you could tell she really wanted to do the right thing, and avoid how messy this got.

Sitting outside was the best part about this cafe because there are a lot trees that offer much needed shade. It seemed like most of the people out there were retirees from the McLean area. I wish the cookies were consistently warm, they are usually tepid and have been able to snag a cookie fresh out of the oven a couple of times. The Dairy-free Brookie is hands-down my favorite! It's very gooey with a nice cookie crust and can't even tell there's no dairy. The Galaxy Brownie Cookie tasted just like a brownie with rainbow chips - it hit the spot! The Triple Chocolate Cookie is good, and the Lava Cookie reminded me of the lava cakes from Domino's with ganache oozing out. The Mint Cookies and Cream reminded me of an Andy's mint. The Oatmeal Apple cookie tastes like a Snickerdoodle. I wasn't a fan of the Rainbow Almond cookie, it had a strong vanilla extract artificial taste. The Blue Sugar Cookie sandwich looked too tempting, but was too sugary sweet. I threw in the towel after a couple of bites. Lesson learned to try a flavor that's a bit sweet/salty balanced. The service is lukewarm with teenage girls who don't want to be bothered from their phones to answer questions and serve customers. If you're shopping and craving a sweet treat, stop by for a cookie.
