From the outside you wouldn't expect this place to be the gem that it is. The donuts were A+. I got the donut croissant OmG it was a biggo cake like donut. I shared it with three people. The sandwiches were great. I was so happy they had a tuna and Turkey option. The lady working was very efficient. The drive thru is very convenient as well.

OMG I've driven by Donuts plus innumerable times and have taken note of the endless drivethru line... Well today is the day. In response, she laughs and hands me a glazed donut (whaaaa??). I pop it in my mouth and... FIREWORKS! This is by far, the most glorious donut I've ever eaten. Lightly crunchy outside, soft and delectably chewy inside, and best of all straight out of the fryer. I didn't know donuts could taste like this! I proceed to buy a little of everything....and am currently working my way thru the most incredible apple fritter. No doubt, I'll be a regular here on out!

Don't let the name fool, there's still plenty of great fried donuts here at a Baking Donuts plus but all of them were wonderful grease-free and far more donut and flavor forward. The sour cream (and strawberry varieties) is one of my favorite donuts around and this was one of the best I've had in a good while. The bear claw had a good amount of cinnamon apple filling, the fritter was a delight of textures. Crispy and soft, tender and flaky and moist and delicious. Good bit of glaze without being weighed down. Boston cream was stuffed just right. The cinnamon bun tasted more like a honey bun (it was in there...I think) but either way it was a perfectly proofed and light dough, good glaze, and still hit the spot. Just not the cinnamon spot. Great place, great dough, great flavors. Oh. Go early. I went around 130p and over half the options had already sold out. Do not snooze on these donuts. Worth waking up for. Best donut I've come across since moving to town.

So, it's 2020 and you are stuck at home 24/7 with your family. On day 8176821 you decide to venture out because can't possibly keep cooking all of your meals at home and can you believe these people expect to eat 3 meals plus snacks every day?! Enter Baking Donuts Plus to help save my day. I read about this place on a FB page created to help rally around locally owned restaurants in Polk County. My longtime favorite donut shop, DK donuts in Haines City closed fairly recently, so I decided to give this place a shot. Traffic was a breeze thanks to COVID -19 and it took no time to find this little gem on Hwy 17 in Winter Haven. They are doing both take out and drive thru orders. The first time I went I got 1/2 a dozen because I wanted to try them out. Chocolate frosted for dad, red velvet for mom, strawberry cake for me, Boston Creme for the hubs, and sour cream cake for the kiddo. Let me tell you, these things were a hit. So much so I went back again the next week, where we added some lemon filled to the rotation. So now I'm stuck making a once weekly trip during quarantine. My favorite is definitely the strawberry cake. Dad thinks they are as good as his beloved and now sheltered DK, and hubs says they are as good as Donut King in Minneola. That's some high praise y'all. On top of all that their prices are super reasonable and you can help support a local business. Give them a try. You'll be glad you did.

Amazing ! Must try ! Pillow like doughnuts... the strawberry fritter was crispiy on the outside and so fluffy on the inside with fresh cut strawberries!! They also have a great boba selection and their ice coffee was great !!

These are, by far, the best donuts my family and I have had.....EVER!!! They are so fresh. I have never had a donut that is so soft and light and not oily!! And the selection is awesome. Besides what I posted, we had red velvet, Boston cream, and an Oreo!! I can not stress enough how delicious each donut was!! I would recommend Baking Donuts Plus to anyone and everyone who is looking for the best donuts ever!! Will certainly be returning the next time we pass through Lake Alfred!!

Cheap and good donuts! This is a local small business. Parking is limited and be careful maneuvering around the drive through. The side street is one way. Staff are very friendly. I like the strawberry and apple fritters the best. Regular choc covered donuts are so much fluffier than DD. Not much space inside as its usually order to go. Very nice little place. read more

I absolutely love this place!! The gal that usually takes our order is just the best. She's so sweet, I think she's the owner. She is always so friendly! And the donuts...perfection. Always. I have even tried the breakfast sandwiches and loved them too. I have zero complains about this place. The prices are pretty cheap in my opinion. Bacon, egg and cheese croissant is just a little over $3 and it's always hot. read more

Some of the best donuts I've ever had. Even the next day, still killer good. Donut king level! We got the strawberry fritter (which needs to catch on, it makes an Apple fritter taste like garbage). The croissant donut warm was a top 2 donut of my whole life. And all the donuts were just EXCELLENT. Light and fluffy with good taste. I will be back. read more

When the girls wake up way too early on a weekend we love running to this place early to get breakfast. The strawberry fritters are devine. The choices are plentiful, from red velvet or pumpkin spice cake donuts to the assorted fruit filled such as raspberry, or the others filled with bavarian cream. They have a fantastic selection of flavors and some on the whimsical side, like the fruity pebbles donut. They also offer a variety of breakfast sandwiches and everything is super fresh. I cannot say enough about this place. The doughnuts are fresh, fluffy and off the chart YUMMY! I recently got a boba tea at an Asian market in the same town. I took a few sips and threw it out. No flavor and they also put lychee pieces in the tea. Horrible. I immediately went over to Baking Donuts Plus where my boba tea is always done right. I decided to try their tuna fish on a croissant ($4.00). Still can't believe how inexpensive it was. Amazing! And did I mention the owners? So kind and welcoming. I highly recommend this wonderful place read more

Really good doughnuts from a really good mom and pop shop. I went through the drive through to pick up multiple dozen assorted for work customers. They were super delicious as I had several for myself and my customers complemented them several times. Good value for the price and super fast pick up via drive through. This was our first time trying Baking Donuts Plus. We loved every donut we ordered in our assortment. I'm a big fan of blueberry cake donuts, this was the best blueberry cake donut I've ever had. The cinnamon twists were light, airy and AMAZING! Apple fritter was a perfect mixture of cinnamon and apple filling and just the right amount of crunchy caramelization... SO DELICIOUS!!! I tried this place today based on the ladies that work at my Dr. office I go to. They were everything they said they were. I got a glazed, a chocolate frosted and a strawberry fritter. The two rings were light and fluffy and very fresh and tasty. The strawberry fritter was a pleasant surprise. I don't normally like apple fritters for some odd reason but being that it was strawberry I'd give it a go. The edges were nice and crisp with a nice strawberry flavor that did not taste artificial. The centers was soft and moist. I love donuts but I just won't eat any donut. Like I have taken a bite out of a donut and have thrown it away (WaWa) I give it a thumbs up from me! read more

This is my family's favorite local donut shop. We call up and order a few dozens for each occasion and they never disappoint. My favorite is the classic sugar-raised, and my kids love the frosted with sprinkles. Their apple fritters, cinnamon twisted, cake donuts and so many others are done right and so good, and their service is always friendly as well. read more

I live with a donut connoisseur. I've driven to various spots and always come back to Baking Donuts Plus as he feels they are the best of the best around! Donut holes are luscious. All the various incarnations of their donuts are winners! You cannot go wrong. There's a drive up window, but I nearly always go inside just to make sure I don't miss something special! They always also serve sandwiches that seem popular. Coffee, tea, boba drinks all available there. read more

My sister and I were eating some of the goodies and having bonding time when a lady whom I can assume is the owner came from behind to my sister, touched her hair and then asked if it was appropriate for her to touched my sister's curly hair? Firsr, you already touched my sister's hair and two you must know it is not okay to do so when you are asking!. I truly thought my sister knew her but she did not! I just said you already did touch it which at that time she is just walking towards behind the counter and honestly not sure where she went after that. I cannot believe in 2026 we are still acting like this is okay. Not sure whom this lady thinks she is or what kind of games she thinks she plays to thinks it is okay. Not sure.if she truly thought she was given a compliment to my sister but what is wrong is wrong. She knew she did wrong. For sure we will not be coming back and for sure I have no desire to use what I have left of a gift card. Unprofessional and honestly so out of touch with your clientele. Winter Haven is growing rapidly and you will have to deal with all of more people like us. Some people are so passive aggressive that is gross. We randomly stopped in here after shopping next door, and we are so glad we did! Their donuts are terrific **LOVE the Cronut** - and the second time we came in, they had just finished a batch of eggrolls too. So of course we tried them, and we would come back just for those!
