Delicious and i cant wait to return! the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. I definitely need to try more desserts

The lamb chops were tender and flavorful, and the rice, house salad, pita bread, and garlic sauce made for a delicious meal. The house salad was fresh, and both our server and the cook were incredibly friendly. We really appreciated the cook coming out to check on us. Great food and even better hospitality. Minus one star because I just wish the place had more seating but food was 5/5.

Blinchik! There were 2 but forgot to take the pic before my bestie took hers.

Ambiance is fine. Kinda like the old Harry's Hen House. Service was fine too. They merged w/Harry's apparently. ORDER: --Harry's Whole Chicken Combo--good as ever tho chicken seems to be a bit smaller & price has definitely gone up (like everything in the world, so no shade) --Lyulyu Kebab: Meat was dry, hard & not very flavorful. Definitely had better at other places. Friend loved the salad that came w/it tho. --Blinchik: Not bad but a bit limp & greasy. Could've had more seasoning of some kind. --Eggplant Rolls: Good but dense & served cold. This is definitely for sharing between 2-3 ppl. --Georgian Cheese Bread w/mushrooms: Very generous w/the mushrooms. Not bad overall though as a first timer, I thought the cheese & was egg blend would be creamier. --Vegetarian Cabbage Roll: Not bad. Good for a vegetarian main if you order more than 1. Lots of beans. Overall, it was fine. Glad to have tried it since we were curious. Still LOVE Harry's Hen House. Even at $20, the whole chicken combo is really great. Unless you want to drive to Modesto to Church's or Delano for Jollibee, you won't find better fried chicken around here. Will be back for sure for Harry's, no doubt!!!

First off I would have to say this place deserves an award for the best quality of lamb and chicken prepared for us. The price matches the quality of our food. Amazing service and hospitality, with comfortable seating. Great job thank you.

Tuscan chicken sandwich (top) & Shakshuka (bottom)
    Priscilla M.

This small Georgian family business had a variety of baklavas on display, however, I only got the chance to try their shakshuka and Tuscan chicken sandwich. Everything came out piping hot! Both had good flavor but I think I enjoyed the Tuscan chicken sandwich more. Bread was perfectly toasted but still soft on the inside while the cheese melted perfectly into the chicken. The shakshuka didn't stand out much--mostly resembled fresh bread with tomato sauce. Despite the hot meal, I think there could be some improvements with the service. I love supporting small businesses so I was really disappointed when I asked for recommendations or popular dishes (between the stuffed eggplant or shakshuka) and the worker responds with "I don't know it's whatever you like." I went ahead and ordered the stuffed eggplant originally and she later returns to tell me they didn't have it, so I settled for the shakshuka. The difference in price wasn't big but she didn't offer to refund me the difference or anything to compensate. It was a quiet environment, not too friendly or welcoming...would recommend to go if wanting to try!

    Classics and new flavors

Wow, jumbo sized baklava in classic and fusion new flavors. Serving hints of raspberry, Nutella, orange, and more. The friendly service explained how being open for 3 years and wanting to offer new and exciting flavors as well as traditional classics. That is the great thing about artisanal creativity, a way to express new ideas and still show you have what it takes to classic forms. The place is so bright and cheery charming. Cleans and cool. Being a big fan of Armenian sweet treats, th baklava house is great!

Food was delicious, staff was happy and full of laughs. I'm not from here, but if I ever stop by again, i'd definitely come to eat here. The restaurant is overall clean and they have a small place to take pictures. I also recommend their desserts!

I ordered a container of baklava and a beef roll on my visit. The baklava was not my favorite, probably because it was not as fresh as the pieces on the counter, but the beef roll was excellent and clearly just made. The staff was very friendly and the whole experience was enjoyable. Next time I will try the fresh baklava from the counter instead. The decorations were very cute, and overall a nice vibe!

Came here again and another great experience and great staff. We loved the house salad and the Georgian pizza with chicken. We were also given some free wine!

Little Gem! Great appetizer's, Excellent Food, and the Baklava & Armenian coffee 100%!! Cute setting in the back room and amazing service. A MUST try for anyone wanting a new place to try. We'll be back and bring friends.

    Honey cake!
    Sheila K.

This review is mainly based on their Honey Cakes alone, BUT because it's called BAKLAVA house, of course I got one of the Baklavas to try as well! Wouldn't make sense not to try. Just upon walking in (the bakery side-- there's a restaurant side as well), everything looked so good! It looked very promising so right off the bat, I ordered 3 slices of the Honey Cakes because I just knew they would be good... I was right. Delicious! Literally have been obsessed with Honey Cakes lately... they're sweet, but not super sweet. I love the layers, the texture, the flavor... ugh, perfection! I don't care much for the chocolate version but from others I've tried prior (not from here) it was still good-- just not my preference. It's a good thing this place is a far distance away from me because it's a very bad addiction to have close by to my home. Each slice was $4.50 each. I got one piece of the Walnut Baklava ($4)... Very good (flaky & flavorful), and I ate it a day later after it being refrigerated all day-- along with the last slice of Honey Cake. The first two cakes were devoured on day one-- one outside the restaurant, shared with my sister (it was a very nice day and everyone who walked by us asked for our opinion and were curious about our thoughts), second one hours later that same evening. Each time, the cakes satisfied my taste buds and the baklava did the job too. The restaurant/bakery itself felt very inviting and is kept very clean as well. I definitely plan on making another trip back that way some time soon (maybe even hint to my friends/family what my upcoming birthday cake could be). The food smelled so good coming from the restaurant but we weren't hungry enough just yet for that so I would love to come back and try some of the items off the menu. Please note: We did wait a while on the bakery side because no one was there behind the counter when we entered but we did not notice the bell that said "ring for assistance" so just a heads up for those of you who might make the same mistake... we didn't know lol but it was worth the wait! Check them out!

The crust was paper-thin, shatteringly crispy, and topped with juicy, savory minced beef and warm, fragrant spices that hit perfectly without being heavy. The Cheese Borek and Spicy Borek were equally crave-worthy--light, flaky, golden dough wrapped around a creamy, mildly salty white cheese filling that was rich but not overwhelming. Every bite was comforting and dangerously easy to finish. Missed out on the Ajarakan (sold out!), but that just means a guaranteed return. Easy 5 stars. Bookmarked and not skipping this stop next time I'm in Fresno.

So it was a bit disappointing for us, since most of what we wanted to try wasn't available (Spinach Borek, Ajarakan, Mini Khachapuri, and Nazook Gata). I had 2 Lahmajune (aka Lahmacun, Lahmajun), which I really loved. These were delicious, like a super thin pizza crust, topped with chopped beef in a flavorful sauce with spices and bits of veggies (onions, parsley, red peppers, etc). I also had a Spicy Borek, which was good, but I didn't love the filling-to-dough ratio on this one. I tasted the dough more than filling. My husband, lamenting the lack of Spinach Borek that he was looking forward to, had only 2 Maniesh (aka Manakeesh, Manakish, etc.) for lunch (and a Tahini bread for a later dessert). The owner who helped us, heated up our order (since it was all baked earlier and cool by now), but my husband later told me, his were barely warm. He really liked the topping of the Maniesh (Za'atar, which is a blend of several different spices including oregano & thyme). But he found the pita-like bread the Za'atar was spread on too dry, and overwhelmed the Za'atar. He enjoyed the Tahnini bread more, being just a sweet, light dough. Prices were quite reasonable, except the Spicy Borek seemed a bit much, compared to the other items on the menu. (Also, the Ajarakan is double the Spicy Borek, at $13. Maybe it's worth it, though; I can't say, since it wasn't available.) Due to the prices, I'm rounding up my rating to 4*.

Fresh, hot food on the tables, people laughing, talking, sharing both food and conversation.... it was incredibly inviting! The smells from the kitchen were addicting - whatever that was, I wanted it! As a party of 5, both Steph and Angela worked for us while working another 8 or 9 tables. Still, service was fast, professional and, to top it all off, fun! Everyone at the table ordered something different from all the other orders. We tried each other's eggs, meat, pancakes, shrimp, grits, salmon... all of it! The biscuits and gravy are a meal of their own! My Smoked Salmon Benny was both hearty and delicate. How is that possible, right? They did it!! For the first time in YEARS, I couldn't finish breakfast! At the other tables, I witnessed Beef and ham steaks, with eggs, potatoes and toast nearly hanging over the plates... stacks of pancakes bigger than the plates!! Portions aren't the modest little tid-bits served at other establishments... these were real, old fashioned, traditional meals meant to fill!! Ladies and gentlemen... I have had meals such as these in Las Vegas, New York, Miami, Los Angeles, et cetera, at three or four times the price!! These were amazingly affordable prices! My best hopes and wishes to both Stephanie and Angela for a continued success!!! I can think of 6 in the past 14 years since I've lived in the area that have come and gone... from classy Italian to authentic Peruvian, a small bar and an evening patio scene to a breakfast only place, the a couple waffle shops, and now... let's talk about Branch. Immediately I noticed how clean the place was. Simple, smelled nice and spotless! Hey this is a huge improvement already. The crowd was thick, we waited 20-30 minutes on a Saturday at 10:00am. That's a good thing. Once we sat down, we were asked what we wanted for drinks. And a minute later another waiter asked us if we would like to order drinks , then a 3rd... seconds before the drinks were brought out. Lol I ordered the breakfast sandwich, served with potatoes or hash browns and asked the waitress what she recommended... my daughter was getting hashbrowns with her meal already and the young lady suggested the potatoes and so I took her suggestion. Let me tell you this, that sandwich which is probably one of the most common things on a breakfast menu anywhere, came out so unique and interesting to me that I must highly recommend it. The toasted bread was like a spicy garlic sourdough that was strong and powerful. The spice was right for me and I even asked for the sriracha sauce on the side. The bacon was thick and plenty, the eggs perfectly scrambled, and the potatoes were delicious and so were my daughter's hashbrowns by the way. I loved my breakfast sandwich and also ate half my Mom's Reuben sandwich which was just loaded with corned beef!! So I asked the waitress who owned the restaurant wanting to know if local, and she smiles and says, "well, I am!" I complimented her and wished her my best and let her know that we would be back. I hope it catches on.
