Easily one of the best Italian restaurants I've been to! We ordered the grilled octopus and meat and cheese platter for an appetizer paired with an amazing bottle of wine that our waiter, Freddy recommended. For our main dish we had the skirt steak, caccio de peppe, and gnocchi al pesto. Everything was delicious but the gnocchi was creamy and to die for. The service and atmosphere were excellent, with very attentive staff. Even the owner checked in on us and provided excellent recommendations. Definitely a new Long Beach staple and a must try. First time here I've been eyeing this place for a while. It did not disappoint. The specials were so amazing we barely preferred off the regular menu except the pesto which I am a snob for. Had a noisy meal on Sunday. Ordered a favorite of mine, eggplant parmigiana. What arrived was an oily stacked eggplant in a ramekin with cheese. The sight of it was unappetizing and so was the taste. It bore no resemblance to the traditional dish. The bread served was a tooth pulling sourdough style bread. The appetizers were good as were the desserts. If you want to use your credit card, they add 3 percent to your bill. The service was brusque. The penne tasted of chemicals and were served with so little sauce as to be dry. I won't be going back. Attended a communion party there and it was wonderful. The staff was terrific and very patient with the number of kids running around. This review is overdue but so necessary. If you're second guessing patronizing this restaurant... don't. I visited with my mom and husband in the early part of April to celebrate my mom's birthday. Decided upon Baldoria based on its reviews and believe me, it didn't disappoint. We were greeted by a lovely hostess and seated almost immediately. (We had made reservations as this spot fills up quickly on the weekends). Restaurant had modern decor and was just lovely. Water and bread were served within minutes of being seated. The food was absolutely delicious!! It was fresh, well seasoned and perfectly balanced. While I would simply go back there because of the food, I absolutely must comment on the service. Our waiter was a gentleman named Frank. Now we eat out A LOT at some very high level restaurants and I can honestly say that I have never had service like this. Frank was incredibly attentive without being too pushy. His timing was spot on and his demeanor and attention to our needs, impeccable. Honestly, Frank has set the bar!! For an intimate dinner for 2 or a large-group celebration, this is a great find in Long Beach that is just different enough from all the other options. My wife had gone here for a birthday and raved about both food and service. Lisa, our server, welcomed the 4 of us with not only thorough knowledge of the menu and the kitchen including options and welcome recommendations for changes and substitutions including single portions or larger family-style. An extra large martini set the tone for this large-scale night. For appetizers the seafood salad was light and fresh and the chopped clams mixed with seafood stuffing were flavorful though not my favorite choice. We had mixed seafood over squid-ink pasta but we swapped out the usual red sauce for a white wine-caper-garlic that cut down on the acidity and added to the deliciousness. Bone-in veal chop valdostano was delicious, hot, and gooey. The wild boar ragu special over truffle gnocchi was rich and decadent without that artificial truffle flavor. Went to Baldoria last night after hearing so many friends talk about this new Italian restaurant in Long Beach and was NOT disappointed! The food was amazing, authentic and truly Italian! The atmosphere was very friendly and inviting. The owner came over multiple times to make sure we we're enjoying our experience and asked if we needed anything. The specials of the day were mouthwatering, I ordered the Squid Ink Linguini Fra Diablo which I'll always order if on any menu because it's my favorite. My entree did not disappoint! It was amazing! What else do you need? Sat a the bar with some buddies and was immediately greeted by Courtney and Valentino. The ever so friendly and helpful dynamic duo behind the beautiful bar started us out on the right foot! The meatballs were perfect and the gravy was a force to be reckoned with. The carbonara was unlike anything you would expect from other Italian joints; it was Light, flavorful with gorgeous chunks of guanciale and a presentation that would rival a Michelin star restaurant. Ordered the artichoke app on menu but they brought out the artichoke app that was on special, wasn't mad bc it tasted phenom and didn't figure it out until we were 2 bites from being done! They gave us a free app of zucchini frites which were delicious but def could use some sort of aioli dipping sauce. There were a TON! We asked for marinara but there was only one waitress and she forgot but we ended up dipping in the leftover juice from the artichoke and was plenty happy. Lots of bread which we made the rookie mistake of ordering and eating too much For dinner bf got the squid ink pasta - highly recommend with the white wine sauce, tasted so good I almost wish I ordered it. Squid was a tad over cooked but the rest of the seafood was perfect. I got the carbonara and wow was that good! So rich and so filling for a fairly basic pasta dish. They did not skimp on the guanciale, tbh would have liked less but who doesn't love that smoky goodness! Absolutely the most outstanding dinner we've had in a while! Started off with tuna tar tar, Octopus and Eggplant, procuitto and Burrata salad. Very disappointing experience at Baldora last night. Called for take out and the young lady said it would be a 1/2 hour till the food was ready. I arrived 1/2 hour later and she went to the kitchen and said they were working on it. 15 minutes later she checked again and said again they're working on it. Finally after standing there a 1/2 hour, a full hour after ordering the food it came out. I can understand if the food was a few minutes delayed, but a half hour late is not acceptable. I asked to speak to the manager who explained they were very busy. If they're that busy don't tell me a 1/2 hour when it's going to be an hour! The he rudely said he had no time to discuss this further and walked away. With this attitude, he won't be busy for very long. In addition none of the staff or customers wore masks. Enjoyed a wonderful meal with my wife on Wednesday evening. Heard great things and they delivered. Service outstanding food is some of the best we have had in Long Island. The complimentary amuse bouche of fried zucchini and olive and cheese plate was a great touch. atmosphere is jovial and unpretentious. Stuffed veal chop is ridiculous. Wife had chicken parmigiana... to quote "best in the city" with a nice side of penne pomodoro. Was looking forward to a new Italian spot in LB but this place clearly misses the mark. While the service was fine, the food was disappointing. The Caesar salad was boring and we needed to drown it in cheese to make it palatable. I had the risotto and was unable to eat it. The bar is nice, but so not worth a $12 crappy chardonnay. I was at Peter Lugers the prior night and they didn't even charge us that much for alcohol. We will def not be back. read more

We just returned to Long Beach from Florida in time to celebrate our anniversary at BALDORIA'S - a nice, new for us, local Italian restaurant. Our celebratory drinks were delicious and set the tone for a wonderful evening. We shared a Caesar salad that had just the right lemon, seasoning and shaved parmigiana cheese. For my main course, I had the Pork Chop with prosciutto, provolone & asparagus in a champagne sauce. The very healthy sized Pork Chop was a tender and cooked perfectly. I loved the champagne sauce but wished there was more... next time I'll ask for extra. My wife had the Bucatini Amatriciana pasta dish and said it was as good as the Amatriciana served at our favorite Italian restaurant, Giulio Cesare's, in Westbury...and you can't get a better compliment than that. Besides the delicious food, the servers were professional and very attentive. So we were happy to have such a wonderful dinner to celebrate our special day. read more

I've ordered from here about three times now. Always a bit bland and flavorless. It's also a bit expensive given the quality.

The food was pretty good and I liked how they had gluten free pasta. The service was great our waiter Freddy with a Y was very accommodating and nice. However, the portions were very small in proportion to the prices. We ordered the burrata special appetizer and it had a half of a burrata ball on the plate. If you are not that hungry this is a good place to go because even though the portions are small the food was tasty. They served dessert and put a bunch of different pastries on the plate which everyone loved. It was a little loud so it was difficult to hear each other speaking. The atmosphere was cozy with the fireplace going. It's a nice place but I wasn't as impressed as I thought I would be when looking at other yelp reviews. read more
