I used to always come here as a my young sassy self and they were amazing! So naturally I had to come again since I was out here. I first placed my order though the phone and ordered two veggie calzones without cheese. I went within the allotted time and went to pay and get my food. One of my calzones came out and the lady said that the next one will be coming out in a second. Literally 10 minutes later, and two visits from the worker saying the food is coming, it finally came. It was extremely hot which shows that it wasnt even made yet when I got my first one because the first one I got wasn't even warm to start with!! UGH!!! The women who answer the phone have a bad attitude and are sexist. I have ordered three times from this place and all three times I have gotten attitude from the women who answer the phone. I had my nephew call twice on speaker phone and both times they were pleasant to him. The pizza is good but service should be everything. Pizza, like most foods is a subjective thing. Some argue that bread crusts are not true pizza. Others say that traditional topings are so over. You've also got your die hards that swear if it ain't New York style its crap. Nobody is wrong when it comes to their point of view on pizza, It's kinda like art. So my 2 cents on this place is that I love it. I seriously want to marry the pie they make here. Its big, deliciously cheezy and the sauce is flavorful. But this pizza joint is in Baldwin Park (where I also live) and lets face it, it wouldn't take a lot to have the best pizza in town. Even though they could probably get away with sending out mediocre pies, they don't. The pizza is glorious with the juciest, freshest toppings that in my opinion rival anything I've had in Los Angeles proper. In Baldwin Park we don't have much to be proud of. I have been a fan of this place for a long, long time. Their Pizza is the best. They have moved to a bigger location and I just went to check things out. The Pizza was as fabulous as ever....the service was another story. The counter person came off as hostile and not happy about serving customers - Three staff were working as hard as ever and the other three or four were talking with each other and acted intruded upon whenever a customer came to the counter....not what I have experienced in the past. Came here on a beautiful Sunday and had such a great experience! I came with my girlfriends for a chill kinda Sunday fun-day; we ordered pizza, potato wedges, wings and a pitcher of Blue Moon. I asked for a side of oranges because what is a Blue Moon without an orange? It is like cereal without milk. To my surprise they ran out of oranges. So, I hung my head and accepted my fate. My girls and I were sitting at our table enjoying the Dodgers game, then we moved to another table because it was a hot day and that particular table area was hot. We then, found a table in a cooler part of the place. Joey, the owner, noticed why we moved to another table and turned on the a/c, awesome! While we are enjoying our food, low and behold! A side of orange slices appear at our table :) I had no clue that Joey, the owner, overheard us talking about our orange dilemma and sent his delivery driver to go buy oranges! It's the little things like that make me feel a lil' special and brought such a smile to my face. I appreciated it so much that I just had to give a review! Ordered pizza, fries, and wings... and the pizza ended up being my least favorite. The fries and wings tasted great, but the fact that this place is know for their pizza kind of shocked me. Compared to other places with similar prices, in my opinion this was a below average pizza and just did not hit the spot. The dough wasn't cooked well, the cheese and sauce weren't on point either. But I really enjoyed the sides I got and the food was prepared in a timely manner. Called to place delivery order like their site states and after being out on hold for 5 minutes was told they don't deliver to those types of places (hotel Marriott). Ok I've been going here for about 8 years. The pizza is ok, nice thick crust, I think the pepperoni they use releases a lot of oil so liberally use the napkins. But recently I've been finding bugs (sometimes alive) when they give me my food. Weird light green bugs I don't recognize. I have family in Baldwin Park and visit often. Baldwin Park Pizza Co. has been a favorite for over 15 years. We love the thin crust and I know the secret is the Wisconsin cheese they use. It's the best Since they opened the new location, my family usually goes for Sunday dinner. The new additions to the menu combined with old favorites make for a great dinner. The dinning room has these great big booths that can hold as many as 12 people so we can all sit together. The adults can now enjoy a beer or glass of wine while watching a baseball or football game and the kids enjoy the video games. They always remember me when I come into town and make me the best anti pasta salad just like my grandma used to make. I really like how the restaurants supports the Baldwin Park community by employing the locals. I have seen generations employed by the restaurant and the managers have been a mentor to the young children in the neighborhood. My sister had breast cancer and the restaurant does a huge fund raiser during the month of October to support the cause. They also include the local small businesses.
