I had dinner here tonight and everything I had was delicious. The chicken soup was seasoned perfectly with strips of chicken and delicate noodles. My entree was beef schnitzel stuffed with cheese, fried, then topped with a creamy sauce. The mashed potatoes were homemade, and the stir fried vegetables were fresh and delicious. The red pepper/eggplant appetizer served with pita bread was unique and can be served with a variety of dishes. The baklava dessert was the perfect ending to a delightful meal. This is an absolute gem in North Wildwood! I have been coming to Wildwood every single year for a very long time, and as an Albanian, I'm always on the hunt for authentic Balkan food. I can't believe it took me this long to find Balkan Fusion but I'm so glad I did! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant itself is clean, quaint, and welcoming, and the staff was friendly and accommodating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Now, for the food we had: Cheese Burek: Made with feta, ricotta, and mozzarella, which was delicious! Next time, I'm definitely asking for their traditional Macedonian version (which from what the owner was telling us is super buttery and I imagine amazing). However I'd also be curious if they take requests as I'd love a 50% cottage cheese and 50% sour cream mix. The Mixed Board: A complete standout. It comes with pita bread plus an amazing selection of meats: -Cevapi: Perfectly grilled minced meat sausages that were absolutely delicious. -Chicken: Incredibly moist and perfectly seasoned. -Sudzukice: A spicy sausage link that's a bit different from what I'm used to in Albanian cuisine, but fantastic. It reminded me of a super flavorful, elevated hot dog (I'd love to try this served on a bun or in the pita with spicy mustard next time!). - Sharska Pljeskavica: Hands down unbelievable. I've never had this before. It's a homemade beef and pork mixed patty stuffed with melted cheese and bacon. Mind blown! If you're anywhere near North Wildwood, do not walk, run to Balkan Fusion. Balkan Fusion is more than a Greek or Mediterranean food with a large homemade menu created by the love of cooking large portions at a fair price. I've been back twice and want to try even more of what they offer. Monika is so friendly and helpful explaining even more than the detailed description on the menu. I'm used to ordering what I call spanakopita but they call it Burek. I enjoyed it so much I ordered it as a takeout for the next day. I was surprised to see Alec offers different choices between cheese/ Apple /Beef/or spinach and cheese Burek. They offer: 7 different salads 8 different burgers 8 different sandwiches But my favorites are the 20 different dinner entrees and more than I should write. Friends joined us on our second visit and will return as well. This is an extremely casual environment that offers breakfast as well as lunch and dinner. The back round music is enjoyable. The restaurant is also a BYOB, year round restaurant which is hard to find in the Wildwood's. Street parking only affects my rating which they cannot control but had to be mentioned. read more

Wow, talk about a hidden gem. I don't know how this place has flown under my radar for so long. We visited here for Wildwood Restaurant Week and we couldn't be happier with the dinner. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside is very spacious and gives a very relaxed atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] For the prix fixe meal, we chose: Ajvar and Pita, Mozzarella Sticks, Hanger Steak, Jelly Crepes, and the chocolate cake. Everything was amazing from start to finish. I can't believe this is probably the best steak I've had in a very long time. At first glance, I was hoping to get some steak sauce, but as it turns out, it wasn't necessary at all. They have tenderized this steak and seasoned it incredibly. It was a very soft, juicy, and delicious piece of meat that needed no sauce. I was also a huge fan of the jelly crepes for dessert. They were very fluffy and had the right amount of blueberry filling. I was conflicted between getting the jelly or the nutella filling, but I knew I would be satisfied either way given how the meal went so far. I also really appreciate the good variety of dishes they have on both their restaurant week and regular menu. We were pleasantly surprised, and very impressed with the results. The food was outstanding. The husband started with a cup of Borsch soup, very flavorful with a nice mix of beets and carrots. Then we shared the Hummus Platter appetizer. Nicely done with Kalamata olives, celery, cucumber, carrots and pita bread. The main event included Musaka and Turli Tave. The musaka was layered up with potatoes, ground beef & pork, topped with egg and cheese with a side salad of cabbage in a vinegar dressing. The flavors were very good and there was enough to feed two. The turli tava was really tasty. It was in a stew form and plentiful. It came with pita bread which allowed him to wipe the crock clean, as a good Italian is taught. The final scene included Honey Cake and Tulumba. The cake was finely layered and extremely decadent. The tulumba were also very good, small fried dough similar to churros, but soaked in simple syrup. Alex (chef owner) and his wife Monica (server), along with their little guy Noah were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Definitely a return trip in the future for us. If you are in the neighborhood and hungry, give them a try. Don't worry, they have stuff on the menu for the non-adventurous. It's a BYOB too, that's a plus. We have been here twice now. Once for dinner and once for breakfast. This place is outstanding. For dinner we got traditional Balkan fare for dinner, the mixed grill and tomato/cucumber/feta salad. Everything was fantastic. They also have a large kids menu and very reasonably priced. I hate spending $12 on a kids meal for my kids to pick at the food. Everything on their menu was $5-$10 (I think the kids salmon was $12, but it was a huge piece of salmon!) and my kids ate every bite. They have traditional Balkan food and also many American basics like short ribs, burgers, etc. We went back for breakfast a few weeks later. Also fantastic. Huge menu. Best omelette I've had in years. Kids got chocolate chip pancakes and stuffed French toast. Sooo good. Try the Turkish coffee! The couple who owns Balkan Fusion is so nice. We came for breakfast and will def be back! We arrived at 9:30am on Memorial Weekend and no one was in there. They are a newer place-hidden gem if you ask me. Food was delicious-had a little bit of everything. Eggs, toast, scrapple(not my fave but i think it was just the brand i didn't like-it was cooked perfectly though!), hash browns (stringy kind-yum!), chocolate pancakes with whipped cream, Nutella filled french toast(my husband and kids loved-i cant do that sweet in the morning!) and waffle with Nutella and bananas. Friendly staff, kid-friendly environment, kind owner. The ambiance wasn't the best but the music was good, staff were friendly and the food made it worth it! Surprisingly an awesome culinary find. We had no idea what to expect but were pleasantly surprised. This place has your traditional American type foods ( burgers and sandwiches). But it is the typical Yugoslavian food that really shines. We had the traditional Yugoslavian grilled meat platter which included lamb sausage, beef patty, and boneless chicken thighs. It was all very delicious. You would think that it would be a heavy meal but the choice of meats were fresh and savory. We also had the cabbage with pork and bacon, again it was all very tasty. Both meals came with pita bread. It's a BYOB establishment, so bring a nice bottle of red to pair with all the savory meats. A European gem in Wildwood New Jersey, my dad is from Romania and this is his favorite place on the whole island, the owner is very friendly, funny and also has a lot of good advice to share, my dad love's talking to him about their cultures and differences. The food/options are different from anywhere else on the island but they also have classic American food just cooked homestyle, it is very good. The building is clean and well maintained. I had no idea this restaurant existed until someone told me about it when they had driven by while running errands. I have never had Yugoslavian or Balkan food before, so I was very interested in what they had to offer! I went during brunch, so I ended up trying their Big Breakfast plate. Which is more standard American fare, but also seemed like it would be tasty. And it was! The eggs were perfectly cooked, just the right amount of fluffy yet moist. The sausage was amazing, it was juicy and had the right amount of flavor. The pancakes were fantastic, beautifully fluffy, and tasted great with the whipped butter they provided. The hash browns were great as well, but they were a bit greasier than I expected them to be. Apparently, they were deep-fried, and that's what gave them that good crunch. I also decided to try the Börek and the waitress was kind enough to warn me that it would take 30 minutes to make. I ended up taking it to go, which honestly worked out better because I was completely fully after eating the breakfast plate! The Börek is delicious! The puff pastry was done in such an excellent way; the way it crunched when I cut into it at home was heavenly. The pasty dish itself is very good! It's basically a puff pastry with a meat filling, though they also offered cheese as an option. So tasty, with the meat and the pastry both cooked perfectly. I also got a slice of honey cake to go. It's a very tasty cake, but I feel like the slice you get is a little small for costing seven dollars. The cake is not overly sweet, but it's perfect if you love the taste of honey and want something more mellow than standard cakes. The breakfast plate was so amazingly made, that I think this will become my go-to breakfast place during the off-season! read more

This is a hidden gem at the shore. The breakfast was just amazing! Unreal potatoes similar to hash browns. Perfect omelet and a great blueberry pancake almost like a crepe. Not gonna lie, always love Eastern European food, but this was outstanding. Staff was helpful, answered all of our annoying questions since our party included vegetarians and our go to Eastern European restaurants are all Polish back home. On to the food, we got the mixed board with the assorted meats, all delicious, but the cevapi was my favorite. The sarma (cabbage rolls) were so tasty, and massive. Not covered in the tomato sauce we are used to, but they don't need it! Cheese pie was also quite good, though probably better for breakfast. Don't miss! read more
