Food: i've gone to this location twice and I've ordered the turkey Panini sandwich and I've also ordered the Ballard breakfast sandwich that comes on a biscuit. 10/10 everything is always so fresh and tasty. Because I'm always walking my dog and have my pup with me they give him a free piece of bacon (he absolutely loves it). All of the drinks are honestly really good lately I've been enjoying a pistachio latte with almond milk - perfection. Service: they're always attentive and quick to acknowledge you when you walk into the building. I've always experienced great customer service here. Amazing. Five starts. This my kind of restaurant I love. First time dining experience here. I found from Google maps review & pictures. What got me in was the fresh baked biscuit and gravy. Then I also ordered the mocha latte and also the cinnamon roll and also... have to wait and try more another day lol lunch & breakfast menu. Also I plan to use the drive thru next time more comfortable for me, a little space inside, one customer almost step on my foot while i was waiting on the bench. Customer service was excellent. The biscuit is so good crust had a nice crust and the inside was buttery & flavorful, two kinds available. The service wasn't the best. I came in and there was only one other person in the establishment. They barely said hello to me. The woman asked me what I wanted, I ordered a chai latte with oat milk. She started to make it and never communicated that she finished so I sat there and kept giving eye contact to see if possibly they would let me know my drink was done but they never did. I did not want to grab someone's order who may have preordered so I sat patiently waiting for my drink. Another man came in after me and ordered an 12oz drink. He grabbed my drink thinking it was his since there was no communication and the woman said, "No that's the chai. Your drink will be up soon." The whole time I was waiting on my drink the two woman who were taking orders and making drinks were chatting and on their phones the whole time. This is why they did not communicate my drink was up. After he grabbed the drink I let them know I didn't know it was my drink either because there's no name on the cup or anyone communicating that this was my drink. There were 6 people working, why is no one communicating and all I request is good customer service and good drinks if I am going to spend my money at an establishment. The two woman said sorry after the MOD apologized and tried to make it right. The MOd asked if I'd like to have the drink remade. I felt like it was a waste to remake the drink and I am not a wasteful person so I kept the drink and wrapped a napkin around it. I hope the guy isn't sick as I just got over a the flu and it's that season. They should treat everyone equally. The man that came in before me they had a ton of energy welcoming him in and talking with him. I could tell he was possibly a regular. I used to work at a coffee shop. And yes, I've tried biscuits from Biscuit Bitch, Honest Biscuits, and the former Biscuit & Bean. Taste is always subjective and whether one is a die hard buttermilk or baking powder biscuit, plain, sweet or savory. So when I heard Biscuit & Bean was closing this Ballard site and retaining their site up north in Lake Stevens, driving often on 15th Ave W, I was curious what would take its place. Eventually I saw some renovations going on and then some activity onsite last month. I had the opportunity to stop by on 8/17/22, snagged a parking spot in their convenient parking lot shared with NoLita. No interior seating, but a few outdoor spots on their tiny deck and some picnic tables out front. There's also the convenient drive-through as an option. Warm, friendly greeting at the counter. I ordered the Ballard Breakfast Sandwich - basically egg, cheese, and bacon in a sliced toasted biscuit. I was offered to add some spicy sauce too, great! However, when I unwrapped the sandwich later at home - zero non-existent sauce. Thankfully, I wasn't charged extra for the missing condiment. Base charge is $11, but with tax/tip it was just under $15. A bit on the pricey side for convenience. The biscuit itself was nicely toasted, the crumb was moist, tender, almost reminiscent of a freshly baked scone. Egg was folded omelette style, not yolky. Cheddar cheese was melty. Bacon was tasty, but wasn't thick cut or peppery. I saved one half of the biscuit for later...and it reheated nicely with added butter and jam at home. The biscuit was decent, but for the price it would be better if was presented as a classic Eggs Benedict. Loved the updated interior, breakfast/lunch and coffee menu, one can eat onsite or to go via drive through or pickup/takeout from the counter. Fresh, made to order. Friendly service and glad Ballard Coffee was able to use this convenient spot with parking along this busy thoroughfare. read more

Decided to try this place out before my appointment today & was not disappointed. Staff is super friendly! Dakota* took care of me at the register and made a fantastic vanilla lavender latte. I also had the breakfast biscuit which was a cheddar & chive biscuit and I got spicy aioli on it, super tasty. Lastly I had the raspberry scone that was also yummy. As for the place itself, not a whole lot of seating, there is a deck with a few chairs and a few chairs out front. I got my stuff to go. But Will definitely be coming back here again. read more

First time visiting here. Vegan options are limited, but the coffee and biscuit were fantastic. Didn't get a pic because we ate so fast. Our toddler was hyped for the biscuit. If I hadn't looked this up, I'm not sure I'd ever have gone. The building is very understated with some patio seating and not much inside but some benches. Next time I'll have to try the drive through which I was surprised this type of place had. All the staff were very friendly, and I could see us coming here quite often. read more

It's no Biscuit and Bean (the restaurant formerly in this location), but it shows a lot of promise. AVOID THE BISCUIT, ENJOY THE OTHER FOOD. Unfortunately, even after hearing Biscuit and Bean passed off the secret biscuit recipe, our biscuit was terribly hard, had barely risen, and didn't taste like anything. Luckily, the spicy egg sandwich was incredible. Imagine a caprese sandwich with egg and spicy peppers. It was great and toasted beautifully, hitting so many taste and texture notes. The cinnamon roll was the best I've had in Ballard - sticky, densely packed, and perfectly sweet. THE ATMOCPHERE IS JUST AS NICE. The inside is painted bright, there is a lot of seating available outside, and the staff were quite friendly and helpful. I was so pleased to see more drink equipment and someone specifically working the drink area so beverages were coming out quickly. If you set aside thoughts of Biscuit and Bean you'll be perfectly happy here. read more

I"ve been waiting for this to open/reopen. When I was in the area I drove by and saw that it was open! So excited to be able to get the frozen mini biscuits again without paying a huge delivery fee. I tried calling to see if they would be offering them at the drive thru like Biscuit & Bean, but no matter what time or day I called, no one answered. So I drove up this morning, read the drive thru menu, and drove around to the window, where there was a sign saying "Drive thru opening soon!" Do they not know that many former customers have been waiting for this? And people using the drive thru are usually in a hurry or in their PJs and don't want to park and walk to the front for a line. Why is there no info available anywhere? Not very good marketing or customer service. Because I love those biscuits I will go back in a few weeks,, but starting out on the wrong foot! read more

I love that they have breakfast sandwiches that come on a variety of breads - english muffins, biscuits, and they have a panini one too. We got the ballard breakfast sandwich which was bacon, egg, and cheese on the biscuit and the spicy egg sandwich. We loved them both! I added avocado (for just $1!) to the spicy egg sandwich, and I thought it was great. It had just a touch of spiciness, and the pesto and mayo were great. My partner loved the ballard breakfast sandwich too! It was pretty hefty and perfect for what he was looking for. They have a good amount of outdoor seating, but I don't think I saw any seating inside. They also have a parking lot out back! read more

Many things to like about Ballard Coffee Co! First, those cinnamon rolls: they're the soft, sweet, yeast dough type with yummy icing. None of those dry, biscuit-like ones here. And they're on the menu daily. Second, their savory menu looks great with homemade sandwiches, etc. Third, friendly service. Fourth, and by no means the least important, they have a PARKING LOT in the back and also a drive-thru window! Honey butter spread added a sweet flavor complement but made it messy to eat (dripping with honey!) I just wish there was more seating than a mossy picnic table. Before it became Ballard Coffee Co, I went there often because the biscuits were divine. Mushroom gravy was also really good. Came here once after they rebranded about 6 months ago and the biscuits were still pretty decent. Today, I went and was disappointed at my biscuit. This is supposed to be the buttermilk biscuit. Doesn't taste burnt but not the usual fluffy soft buttermilk biscuit that it normally is either. Staff is friendly though no complaints on service. read more

This place wasn't busy at the time so I'm not sure why they messed up. I asked for no bacon... there was a ton of bacon on my sandwich. I asked for cream and sugar and my coffee was black. We like to pick up breakfast on Saturday mornings and recently noticed this place and thought we'd give it a try. But the food and coffee were awful. We got 2 Ballard Breakfast sandwiches and they were huge and way too much for one person. That would be fine if we had known because we could have just ordered one to split. But the quality left much to be desired. The biscuit was very thick and dark brown and crunchy. I ended up removing the top biscuit and tossing it out for the birds. The egg didn't have any salt or seasoning on it and was tasteless. We got a latte and a drip coffee and they had a burnt, bitter aftertaste. I ended up dumping the coffee down the drain and brewing my own. The only tasty thing was the blueberry muffin, although there weren't many blueberries in it. To top it off it was way too expensive for the quality. McDonald's bacon egg and cheese biscuit and latte is way better for a fraction of the cost. We won't be going back. read more
