First time at this venue for the Nutcracker December 2025. Parking was very easy. The show was enjoyable. The symphony, though good, was strongly muted. Thought there could be more volume and depth to a live symphony. It seems many instruments were under the stage. The dance ensembles were good but lacked polish. The principal dancers were awesome and saved the show. Similar to other venues in AZ, this venue serves food for guests to eat at their seats during the show. Before living in AZ, we had never experienced food being served at a ballet for patrons to take to their seats. The result is very distracting. The constant crunching, slurping and the sound of wrinkling garbage does not belong in a venue like this. Not only disrespectful of the performers that have worked so hard, but the audience suffers from this as well. The other thing that takes away from this and other AZ venues that offer ballet and symphony is the audience. Sadly, not uncommon for people in AZ to show up at these events in sweat pants, shorts, t-shirts, flip flops, athletic shoes and baseball caps. These same people are sitting next to people dressed appropriately for the occasion. On top of that, some of these people talk non stop throughout the performance and don't seem to understand, or not care, about theater etiquette. We love the arts, but struggling with the low standards of the AZ venues. For over $450 for two tickets, hard to justify the experience vs. cost.

I had the pleasure of seeing the Nutcracker Ballet last night from Ballet Arizona. The production was beautiful and made the story come alive on stage. I would highly recommend anyone seeing a ballet production by Ballet Arizona.

Love going to the Ballet when we are in Arizona. Always an enjoyable show but then we are biased as our son danced for several years for Ballet Arizona. Costumes are beautiful and performances are well done. Location of performances change some are better facilities that others. Our favorite are the ones at the Botanical Gardens. If you haven't been highly recommend.

The costumes are divine and what a treat for patrons to be exposed to the artistic direction of Ib Andersen.

I bring my 6 year old daughter here. They practice in private rooms in the back where you cannot…read moreview them at all. My daughter really likes ballet and hasn't complained so I am torn to write this review but I don't think we will be coming back here. This is our third dance studio experience due to moving. The reasons for my review are this: First- the front desk lady is pretty rude... all the time. I don't think she is happy to be there. I think she manages it. Second- you cannot see or watch your child. You cannot watch them practice. I personally want to have eyes on her and watch her practice and she wants me to watch as well, it's exciting. This may be great for older children and adults to avoid distraction but I don't find it convenient for young kids. Third- mask mandate has been discontinued for some time and they enforce it. They enforce the kids and anyone in the lobby to wear one. Instead of asking nicely, it's more of a snarl "you need a mask to be in here, ugh!" Topped off with a glare and eye roll. Fourth- The lobby is small and I have always had to stand up waiting for her to be finished so I end up just sitting in my car.... not like I can watch her anyway. Fifth- the parking lot is extremely small it's very annoying. You will more than likely park on the main road. Not reason to stop coming here, but it's quite frustrating. Sixth- instead of telling me or teaching me how they want her hair to be done they scolded me in front of the entire lobby about how she needs to re do my daughters hair because the bun I had it in won't hold.... don't let your child come in with one of those donut bun thingies. I spent all that time putting her hair into a perfect freaking bun... how am I supposed to know if you don't tell me? Needless to say she was very annoyed. Maybe this is all routine for ballet but I have found it to be somewhat a toxic atmosphere so why would I want to come back? It isn't inviting at all. All of the teachers have been great with professional demeanor, smiles and always kind. Maybe they want to be super professional and this is why it's like this. I'm sure they'll come back and say "ballerinas need to be prim and proper and without distraction." So if that's what you're looking for then this may be the place for you. Be ready to park on the main road and have no where to sit. I just want to bring my little kiddo to a fun place to start learning technique. None of the other places have been like this. It's weird to see such a lack of friendly customer service. We will find a new ballet studio or a new activity.

If a response from the company is posted here, and I assume one will be, please just remember I don't gain from writing an honest review about my experience. My kid is only 5, we danced with the school for a while and we were unhappy there. We left, no real loss. One thing I will share is that my daughter has very poor vision and wears glasses. I was asked by the director to have her dance without her glasses because it throws off the aesthetic of the performances. She's 5, and it's a safety issue so of course I refused. Plus, my daughter is beautiful and unique with her glasses and quite frankly only added beauty to the stage. I will also state that I was in the room multiple times when free t-shirts were offered for google and Facebook reviews. It's easy to notice a pattern of review spikes during that timeframe. This has been refuted by the school, however I was present during the offer.

The school numerous times has gone above and beyond for not only my family but others. We feel like family and not just and instrument of income. My children are culturally aware because Ollin Yoliztli not only teaches them great dance routines but also teaches them about our Mexican heritage.

Soon after arriving and meeting Kyryl (one of our dance instructors) we notice the vibe is off. He is rude and slurring his words. We continue on with the tour and meet Andre (our second instructor) who was perfectly polite and professional. After some discussion regarding our upcoming event and layout, we start the class. Both my wife and I could smell alcohol on Kyryl's breath. He continued to be rude. Kyryl was partnered with my wife and I was with Andre. A few minutes into the actual class I see Kyryl slap my wife's butt - hard. I was in shock and could not believe this was happening. I asked to dance with my wife because I didn't want Kyryl touching her or close to her anymore. We maintain some semblance of calm and don't address the inappropriateness head on - my wife and I were both in shock. Just a few minutes later Kyryl slaps me the same way. At that moment, my wife exclaims: "that is not okay, consent matters, please stop." To be clear, we wanted to choreograph a dance to a ballad - there was no explicit moves requested. We left shortly thereafter. Although Andre didn't do anything inappropriate, he stood by and watched as his colleague violated us. This is not okay; it's harassment and completely outside of respectful, professional, legal behavior.
