When I visited this place I went outside to make a phone call tried to come back in and was not allowed in. When I asked why there was a guy there standing by the entrance next to the bouncer that threw me to the ground which put a hole in my Columbia shirt. No one did anything and just continue to not let me back in when I did nothing wrong. Unless you want to have your night ruined I do not suggest going here. I went here on Saturday (6/13) and made a reservation for 12 for me and my friends to celebrate my birthday. Once I got there I called them and was helped by the two of sweetest hostesses (I asked there names multiple times & still managed to forget them lol). They informed me to go ahead to the front of the line to meet the security. The line was easily 2 hour+ and definitely felt a little awkward skipping the entire line. The security was definitely stressed out & told me that my name wasn't on the list. I told him that I was just following the directions the hostess gave me and would never skip a line unless I was given approval. The last thing I wanted was him to think I was lying. There was miscommunication but he still allowed me and my friends to come through. I really wish I got his name because he was so sweet & understanding! (He was bald if that helps). The waitress we had was amazing as well (again forget her name) and even the bartender did the best he could with the amount of people he had at his bar. The only issue I had is that the rest of my party that took a different Uber tried to meet up w us. But the owner told the two hostesses that nobody else was allowed to come in. That was a little frustrating but honestly the place was extremely packed and I'm sure she was just trying to enforce the 50% capacity so I completely understand. First impression is the vibe is fantastic! There is plenty of activities outside, unfortunately for me we can at night in a weekday, but I can't wait to come back and play a game or two of Cornhole, giant jenga, or connect four or many of the other options. The decor is pretty cool too. We sat I. What's considered the outdoor area wgich was pretty cool. There's a full bar and plenty of tables and while it's outside you're in somewhat of a super cool space with roll up doors and open walls. Heaters were great because it was a bit chilly. Service was spot on. Our server was very attentive and was great. We ordered the tequila chicken. Very fresh and tasty and I would definitely order again. Came with fresh grilled zucchini which was cooked to perfection. The downfall for me was the rice... everything was fresh and cooked to perfection until you got to the rice. I myself would not have served it and cooked a fresh batch. The only way to describe it is a gooey paste of mush. My husband has ordered the same dish and thought it was potatoes. My daughter who brought us here and talked up this specific dish said that she orders this pretty much all the time and has had this same rice experience one time. In the future I will probably give this dish one more shot to see how it is with rice and hope that my experience was just a fluke. Overall the place is pretty cool and the food was great! read more

The food is average and the service is fine, but what prompted this review was the complete and total disregard for masking. Tons of patrons were walking around inside without a mask. Most of the staff were not masked properly (nose out or down and around neck). When so many other restaurants are making a solid effort and enforcing safety measures, this was really disappointing to see. We will not be returning. read more

Management refuses to listen to locals. This is my fourth time here. So you can say I have truly tried. Such great potential. If they survive to next summer I will be shocked. It's football season now. You need your locals. You have tremendous competition for football fans. Rewarding them with overpriced, watered down drinks and mediocre food is not how to beat out the competition. Service or lack thereof has been an issue since day one. Hasn't improved one bit. The manager used to come out but in hindsight it was nothing more than lip service as there have been zero improvements. Like I said, my fourth time here and the third time I have had to ask for silverware. Ridiculous. Menu is way too large. Focus on building a happy hour menu, including Sundays. Trust me, you need one. You're not as good as you think and you're sinking fast. Also, do a speaker check before opening. The clicking in the speakers was so distracting you couldn't concentrate on the game. When I brought it to the bartender's attention, he just shrugged his shoulders. Well that was helpful, thank you very little. Water filtration needs improvement. Water is awful. Get it together Ballyhoos. Location, location, location will NOT be enough for you. UPDATE: I appreciate "management's response" however your assessment of a full house is nothing less than skewed. In all fairness I ventured in to see if perhaps I was missing a party inside. Um, no. And outside is 20% children under the age of 10 so not certain how that improves your bottom line, but okay. They are at least enjoying free reign of your expansive lawn. (It's raining to be fair) We had a burger with a burned bun, a ribeye which HAS to be ordered medium rate to be edible, an amazing salad with house made ranch, and twice baked potato of which the first half inch was delicious and the rest hard as a rock. Then we waited 20 min for the tuna poke and finally she brought a.....burger, lol. I really try to like this place. The outdoors is great. The food is great. The service is great... when you can get it. Four times now we have been sat and no server comes. Can't even flag one down. I think it's just a serious disconnect between hostesses and waitresses or not having defined sections in that area so the waitresses know. I don't know, but we were really looking forward to delicious poke bowls. But instead we left and are at Shorebreak now. Great food. Sat quicker than expected and served immediately. Edit: Thanks for the quick response. Every time we have had a problem with service, it has been inside the dining room. We have been sat in the covered patio and out in the picnic tables multiple times without a problem. There were two tables sat after us that received immediate attention and we couldn't even get those servers' attention. It's just frustrating that it has happened SO MANY times now. This is definitely a locals' hangout. That being said it's a very friendly crowd which is nice. The food is about average at decent prices. Service was ok. I've never been asked if i wanted my bill or just to hang out! Lots of tvs give it a sports bar feel. It's at the end of a strip mall but feels miles away. Didn't have a very good experience here. Let me preface this by saying I know they are new and my expectations weren't super high. After delivering our food the waitress went mia and had taken a drink order and was to deliver additional condiments. 25 minutes went by with no sign so I went to front desk to get our check which included the drinks we never received. The hostess went to grab a manager to take it off which took another 10 minutes. Then he came to the front and never even made eye contact with me. I would expect that at a minimum he would acknowledged that there was poor service and apologize. I would have chalked up the poor service to being a new restaurant but a manager not even making an attempt to ensure his customers satisfaction is unacceptable. I will not be spending my money in an establishment that takes paying customers for granted. There are plenty of other places to go. At least we were seated in a timely manner. No way would I wait 15-30 minutes for this place. The crowd started coming in around 6:30 - and I noticed at least 2 parties get up and leave when they weren't waited on. Last night: party of four. Seated immediately inside. It took the server at least 10 minutes to recognize us and get our drink orders. Blue Moon $5. I ordered water. Husband ordered Blue Moon. Server stated to us, "We're not doing the build your own wraps or build your own salads tonight." SO, I'm guessing - whatever is on their so called menu - they can pick and choose what to serve or NOT serve. Beer selection limited - and nothing worth talking about. Very LOUD (as others have stated) Guess they're sticking to the Merriam-Webster's definition - "A noisy attention-getting demonstration or talk" ..... Sure it's also a fish - but this place is CRAZY loud. The outside seems to attract kids and adults alike. They have large Jenga, corn hole, picnic tables, etc. I even noticed people throwing a Frisbee outback. Good concept - hope they do well. Calamari - small little (tiny) things that were overcooked and bland, even the peppers that came with them had zero taste ($10). Tuna Poke Bowl with rice ...... tuna o.k. - rice crunchy - rice should NOT be crunchy. I pushed the hard rice aside and ate the tuna and tiny bit of seaweed - not even a teaspoon full ($11). Po-Boy shrimp - mostly bread - think there may have been 5 shrimp on the huge buns ($10). Our bill came to $51.26 + tip = $60.26. Waitress was Angellyn B. She checked on us - refilled waters, friendly, etc. This place has "potential" but we won't return. Hope it does well for the local crowd that it seems to want to please, but it isn't for me. Based on a few reviews, we had mixed feelings about trying this place, but our concerns were misplaced. The food & service were both solid. When asked, our server offered suggestions and honest opinions about various menu items and after we had finished eating, she actively sought feedback to share with the kitchen. Considering the impressive bar areas inside & out, more creative cocktails would be a nice addition. We look forward to returning to explore more of the menu. read more

Well that's the 3 stars and I'm being generous. It was a party of 4. Both the women got scallops and like them. I ordered the fried oysters. . I asked the waitress if the shrimp or oysters were fresh or frozen. I really wanted fresh. She did not have a clue. My buddy ordered a steak and it was not to good. As far as the service. It sux. So this place has an amazing setup. Great venue. They have good musicians come in and play before it turns into a nightclub. The owner is very nice and reaches out to his customers first hand. I have been told by many people this is the spot to go to when I came into town. When the nightclub music turns on though...... nobody is dancing, well except the DJ feeling his own music. It's sort of a dumpster of possibility. I mean if you don't believe me try the shrimp scampi. There is a lot of potential at this venue, but it's just not being maximized. Go somewhere else if you're looking for good music and/or food. If you wanna just have a few beers and sit and chill, could still work as long as you don't mind the bad music in the background. Really good food on all 3 visits. They aren't getting any Michelin stars or boldy breaking new culinary ground but they know exactly what they are and what they are going for... Which is... "Casual dinner and local watering hole." Nailed it! Fresh vegetable sides, wings done right, and a reliable burger... On visit two, my Chicken Scampi was delicious and my friends liked they're fork and knife entrees too. It won me as a repeat local customer for sure. The service was good but not amazing... Yet. I feel like the slightly below average service is a matter of them being brand new and finding their footing when it comes to getting the right team in place. I'd bet 20 bucks it only gets better. Very cool dog friendly lawn atmosphere with poop bag dispensers which was good thinking. Fun lawn games for the family and local cover bands. Fun stuff. I'll come back many times. read more

Not good. Waited 25 minutes for order that was wrong when it arrived. Appetizer arrived with meal rather than before. And food taste was mediocre at best. Noisy also. Before I get to the food issues, I will say that the staff we encountered was very accommodating and friendly. Unfortunately our meals, the salmon for my wife and tuna for me were not good. The salmon was greasy tasting and the sauce was kind of different in taste. My tuna, cooked medium was like leather. I made the comment to my wife that I thought I might be eating Charlie the Tuna's tough grandfather. There was some type of sauce on it which seemed more of an attempt to hide the taste of the tuna versus adding anything to it. The best part of our meals were the mashed potatoes which were tasty. We prefer to support local businesses but, unless we just go back for a beer and some nachos, we won't be back. read more

The service was awful. It wasn't crowded. The waitress messed up one of our orders and tried to give us double on another. The flies were completely awful and since the service was so bad, I bused our table and removed all the plates after we ate and placed them on the bar(to keep the flies away) and because that's what is supposed to happen anyway. The quesadilla clearly says it comes with cheese onions and peppers but apparently that only happens if you add a "protein", it was my birthday dinner and I won't go back. For being a new establishment my overall experience was decent. However, I feel the staff should have been a bit more prepared. To start out our experience they had no drink menus.We then Had to wait over an hour for our food and when the food did come it was just the burgers with no sides. The sides then came out 30 minutes later. The food was okay, could have been a bit warmer. The waitress was not very attentive to our table and did not keep us informed about the kitchen running behind until the end of our visit. We will be back again after the staff and kitchen have time to get up to speed with the high traffic flow through the establishment and see what improvements have been implemented. read more

This place is great. Tons of outside seating. I love the atmosphere, has a very "local" feel even though they recently opened up. I was worried at first because usually in places like this there aren't very many vegetarian options, but they do offer Beyond Burger patties to substitute for the regular patties, which was nice but I was looking for something lighter for lunch. I ended up getting the grilled avocado with a caprese salad. It was beautifully plated, and tasted incredible. I'm really picky about tomatoes but these were very fresh and bright, mozzarella was perfect and the seasoning on the avocado really pulled everything together. read more
