This Thursday lunch was the second time in a row where the outdoor service was terribly slow. The first time no one came to our table after we were seated and after fifteen minutes, we left. Today we were entertaining out of town guests, so we stayed and eventually we were able to order. Having a meal outside with the view of the marina is the draw for this restaurant, but the slow service is a major drawback. The food is good; however, the outdoor service is terrible.

The happy hour menu says $5 house wines. I asked, "Do you have a house Sauvignon Blanc and she said. "Yes. Kim Crawford." So I excitedly said I'd like that only to find out that is not a happy hour wine and was $10 each when the bill came. But you know what? They graciously made it right. So I would recommend instead of asking, "Do you have a house...." Ask. "What are your happy hour wines.". My wedge salad with salmon was delicious! Salmon medium rare and tender and moist. Plenty of bacon. Although the dressing was liquidy, it was just fine on the salad. Tasted my son's fries and they were piping hot. Crispy. Delish. His Reuben was huge! Hubby's shrimp bang bang tacos were great! The view of the marina was beautiful!

Great location on the water. Excellent seafood selection! A bit loud with the bar noise, but not too bad very friendly staff. Would love to come by in the summer!

This place has a local feel where they know you by name. I'm sure it gets packed in the summer or during a good game. This was my first time, and the waiter was great at explaining the favs. I tried the fried shrimp and had zero complaints. Plenty of flavor and cooked well. I also tried the fish tacos. This is not a Mexican restaurant, it's more like a beach bar. So don't expect Mexican-style fish tacos. I'm not saying they were bad just setting expectations. I would absolutely come back next time and I'm trying the wings.

Went here Saturday night around 9 pm, the weather felt nice outside so we were hoping we'd be able to sit outside and have some drinks, but they actually closed their outdoor seating early in the night so we had to be inside. We were sat at one of the two seat tables along the wall near the bar. Couldn't get an indoor patio table because they were all apparently reserved already, so we just went with what we could get. We went only for drinks since we had eaten else where prior. I ordered the strawberry daiquiri (6/10) very little alcohol really just tasted like juice mix. The cherry limeade crush (7/10) the flavor was good and I could taste a little alcohol. And also a Bushwacker (10/10) it was creamy, strong, and so so good. Def my favorite drink on the menu. Overall, the service was fine our waitress checked on us a decent amount of times I'd say. Next time I plan to actually try their food, but I've for sure added this place down to come back for drinks. There's other drinks I'd like to try on the menu, but I will def be returning for their Bushwacker. Total for 6 drinks came out to $77. My overall rate of experience : 7.5/10

Very mid food. Calamari wasn't necessarily seasoned, Brussels sprouts were very over cooked. Oysters were just fine and the crab dip was okay. Wouldn't come back for the food but the view was nice.

Absolutely recommend Stony's. Straight up fantastic seafood. The place is a vibe, bit of a pub with some tables about, but lots of bar stools. Seating by windows on the marina is really nice. Great staff there, really did a great job taking care of us. We got a couple appetizers and a sandwich to share, they even split the sandwich and plated each separately with fries and a pickle. Nice! Speaking of which, the flounder BLT excellent. Crab cake app was well done, so tasty and loads of crab. And the firecracker shrimp rocked! Spicy for sure, tasted similar to buffalo sauce, but such good shrimp. Accompanying ranch helps :) Glad we found Stony's!

Very standard grill with a nice view of the marina. I got the chicken and waffles and enjoyed the hearty Southern brunch. My partner and I had some time to kill before going to the airport, and the staff was very welcoming and let us sit until it was time to catch our flight.

I like how in the dining area, they put covers over the overhead lights so it isn't super bright. AND THE DRINKS ARE SOOOOOOO GOOD. First time we went, we overheard the waitress say she didn't want to serve us, she was exhausted. Rightfully so, she was the only server. We held nothing against the server, we were peeved with the owner. The woman with the light hair. Took what felt like forever to even get drinks. They were also out of a lot of food... which isn't necessarily a bad thing... but the items I wanted were no longer available so I just ordered the fried green tomatoes. They were fine, they just needed more sauce and a bit more seasoning in the breading! The poor server was just miserable while we were there, and the owner was just kinda walking around telling everyone what needed to be done, not quite helping, more so micro managing. We ended up tipping the poor girl $35. I hope she got to keep it all. Fast forward to this week. We tried it out again. It was a bit warm. We had been Instructed that they had family visiting and if it got too loud to let her know. The noise wasn't the issue at all. When we sat down we saw that it was 76° inside! We wanted to eat though, so we tried to tough it out. There was only one waiter and then another girl helping him serve the food. Again, and I don't know how it happened again, the boy had said to the lady he didn't want to serve us, there was too much going on. She had told him he was going to serve us, strike 1. We ordered all of our food at once to make the poor kid's life a bit easier. We didn't get drinks until about 20 minutes after sitting down. (The pineapple drink bangs btw). And we were literally sitting there DRIPPING sweat. Even the owner had beads of sweat alllll over her face. We ended up asking for our order to go. And my husband ordered his sandwich without Cole slaw. We said that literally a COUPLE of minutes after we ordered. The food magically appeared, and they had US package it all up. And my husband couldn't even tell the owner that he asked for no Cole slaw, but she kept talking over him. And she ended up being the "polite" kind of rude after we asked for our food to go. We weren't angry, we were just hot. But looking back on the bigger picture, it definitely angry. Especially for the young people they have serving. The poor server was so stressed so again, I do not blame the servers. We tipped that bot $25 and again, I hope he gets it ALL. I 100% put the blame on the owners. This place should be a food truck... not a restaurant. The bad reviews didn't make sense to me.... Until they did.

Stopped by for a burger and a beer to drown in my solitude. Had great service. Prompt, attentive and genuine. Only downside was some pretentious guy named Jeff kept whining about the hostess and the service being "special needs" because he couldn't get his group prompt service under 15 minutes on a special holiday. If it wasn't for some derogative guy whining off the bell about how the service wasn't up to par every couple minutes I'd have enjoyed what would've been quite a depressing day for me. The last time I set foot inside their Pleasure House Rd location was at least 10 years ago. I celebrated my birthday there as my friends were kind enough to take me out. It was a Sunday morning and I sought out a place that offered brunch. I noticed 1608 was open and decided to head over, especially since I haven't visited them in ages. When I walked in, I noticed their dining room is dimly lit - much darker than I remember. I was greeted immediately by a kind hostess and she proceeded to sit me at a nearby table and provided me with menus (one food, one alcohol). I took my time looking over the food menu, and in the meantime I ordered a pint of Center of the Universe's Bald Irishman and a bottle of Boylan's Black Cherry soda (they do not have a soda fountain). What made this visit memorable was that 1608's bartender, Hunter, was an old acquaintance from back in my restaurant days. He spotted me and came over to say hi. After my meal, I continued to catch up with him at the bar. His presence made a pleasant experience even more fantastic. I thought I was hungry, so I ordered 2 dishes - Smoked Ham Fried Rice and the Breakfast Burrito. According to Hunter, every item is made fresh in house. After biting into each, you could tell that's true. Both the fried rice and burrito were delicious and boasted lots of flavor. Although I prefer my fried rice a bit simpler (if you give me just garlic fried rice, I am SET), 1608's fried rice (veggies, garlic, soy, basmati rice, 2 runny eggs, smoked ham) had a lot going on, which made for a flavorful dish. I liked the rice and the burrito (Korean style fried chicken breast, scrambled eggs, cilantro lime, cheddar, pico de gallo) a lot. I didn't finish either because it was a lot of food (I really thought I was hungry, haha). But these leftovers turned into a fantastic dinner later on. 1608 looked clean and organized, although I thought it was a little too dark inside, at least for brunch service. That's not a dealbreaker since everything from the food to the service was as excellent as I remember. I hope to return soon with my mom. Regardless, I'll find my way back eventually. Thank you, 1608 Crafthouse! And great seeing you again, Hunter! JV
