Now, I don't know if it's because there's a constant stream of new and interesting Asian dessert options that keep opening up or because I've just started to take them for granted (or both), but I never really think of stopping into Bambu much these days. Che desserts are great and all, but I'd be lying if I said coming here to grab one would historically be the first thing that comes to mind. However, after being pleasantly surprised by our visit to this location, perhaps that needs to change! Even though our coming here was largely a byproduct of us already being (somewhat) nearby and this place being one of the few options still open for dessert, I was actually excited to come here since it had been over a decade since I last visited a Bambu. Inside, this particular location is decent in size, but a bit dated in how it looks. That said, the menu looked even more interesting than I remember. In addition to their che drink options, they also have several varieties of waffles, milk teas, fruit teas, coffees, smoothies, and French macaron cookies, among other things. While we initially came in with one of their traditional che options in mind, we immediately flipped to their UBE HALO HALO once we saw a post for it. Made up of a Red Bean base with Coconut Meat, Rainbow Jelly, Pandan Jelly, Crystal Boba, Coconut Milk, Red Tapioca, Jackfruit, Egg Pudding, and Topped with Ube Ice Cream, this came with nearly every topping Bambu has to offer! All together, this was a little sweet but still great! The mix of everything complemented each other well, but I especially liked the coconut milk and meat, red bean paste, egg pudding, and jackfruit. Of course, the ube ice cream perfectly rounded everything out. Beyond our dessert, service here wasn't too shabby, though not really spectacular. On the plus side, the guy at the register was friendly, but it also took longer than I would've guessed for our dessert to come out. Can't say if they're actually slow, though, as it looked like that guy might have been the only one working (there was also a family that ordered a bunch of stuff ahead of us). Regardless, it wouldn't deter me from coming back again. Between all of that, their relatively late hours, and the wealth of parking (at night, at least), this Bambu is such a convenient spot for a late night treat!

Ever since the Bambu closed in Irvine, I have to trek out to Westminster to get some che. Visited this store to get my fix. Was going to get some bubble waffle with the dessert but staff mentioned that they had ran out of bubble waffle. Ended up getting coconut mochi waffle. It was decent, the exterior was a bit harder than what I was expecting. Also ordered the egg coffee. I miss having something like this closer to home.

This place used to be popular for their desserts and waffles back in the days. Now it's a new hang out spot for our Chu hai's. The place is still small with decent seating taken by all the Chu hai's. Workers are still nice. We ordered the pandan waffles and few drinks (egg coffee, matcha coffee and avocado smoothie). All decent... the matcha coffee didn't taste much like matcha...the avocado smoothie tasted more powdery than anything so it was an unpleasant after taste for me. The pandan waffle was overcooked in the waffle machine. Came out hard and hurt the root of my mouth as I bit into it. A bit disappointed since it used to be so good. I guess quality just went down. Or maybe a bad batch for us when we came. Not sure but not willing to come back to try again. Most likely won't be back to this location for anything.

I guess it's about time that I leave a review for this place. Been going here for years and really disappointed that the location in San Diego closed. This is the closest one to me so whenever I'm in the area, I always make sure to stop by. I always get the number 10: BAMBŪ Favorite-red tapioca, grass jelly, pandan jelly, coconut milk and one of their delicious mochi waffle. Check them out if you're in the area!

I've been here before for other drinks but this Bambu special was the most delicious think I've had and it was very unexpected because I never finish my drinks but today I did. I'm definitely coming back to try the others and I hope the are just as delicious.

We usually go to this location but after today, we will never come back. My husband ordered three che ba mau (three color dessert) like we normally do but tonight it took well over 20 minutes for 3 drinks and that wasn't the worst part. When we came home (we live 10 minutes away) and ate the desserts, they were all disgusting and not fresh at all. The green jelly was hard as a rock like they were kept in the fridge for days. Usually they're soft and chewy but the ones they put in our drinks were old and hard. The mung bean also had a sour, spoiled taste. They gave us old, pre-assembled and pre-sealed that was probably days old. We threw all three drinks away. The cups don't even have the logo on anymore and they sealed them now. We will never come back here.

Yummy. #3 che ba mau is good too! The pandan waffle (green) is super warm and filling.

Small shop in a shopping center, in front of the 2nd Gen Korean bbq location. The shop has about 3 tables with chairs. The staff was nice and friendly. My order didn't take long. I got the large for $9.80. It was refreshing and I loved all the bits and pieces of fruit etc. you get to chew on. Would recommend and definitely will come back.

    10. Bambu Favorite and Passion Fruit tea

Bambu is a Vietnamese dessert place and I haven't had it for a long time since the ones in LA county were out of business. I ordered the Bambu Favorite that consists of red tapioca, grass jelly, pandan jelly and coconut milk, everything that I like in one cup. It's a perfect and refreshing summer dessert that isn't heavy. The passion fruit tea was also refreshing as well. There is seating inside the place but its a bit dirty so is the restroom.

CASH ONLY! After a hearty meal, I needed something refreshing and sweet like this! I've only really gotten che at Hien Khanh, but this was also delicious! I got the Che Hat Luu Suong Sao Banh Lot which has more of all the jelly, tapioca stuff. Not too sweet, creamy, and generous with the toppings! This place seems to only have these drink kind of desserts, so if you're looking for a che place that has other types, Hien Khanh is probably your best bet.

The drink was fresh, although it was quite tart for my taste from the passion fruit. I thought the sugarcane sweetness would be offset by passion fruit but they probably put more passion fruit than expected. The shop is pretty small, and there's not really any seating for customers to hang out and there's no public restroom to use. Can't really comment on the service since we didn't order through a staff member. Overall, solid sugarcane juice shop; I guess I just didn't pick something that worked out for me.

I ordered the Acai Berry Boost which has acai, pomegranate, banana, blueberries and strawberries. I got half sweet, since all of the ingredients are sweet on their own along with whey protein. I noticed they updated the recipe for the Berry Bonanza smoothie to include dates and flax seeds. Honestly, it's such a fantastic upgrade. Berries can be hit-or-miss with how sour they are depending on the season, but the dates add the perfect amount of natural, whole-food sweetness to balance it out without needing added syrups. Plus, the flax adds a great nutritional boost. Love that they are constantly improving their menu. The staff here are very friendly, too. Highly recommend!

The man working directly with preparing the food was the one who stated there were cashews in the dressing so I was inclined to trust his call, but seeing you say there isn't any nuts in it leaves me with little confidence on what the actual answer is. I have zero issues with the fact this is not an allergen free kitchen but I still think items should be properly noted/staff should be educated on what things do *directly* contain allergens. Original Review: Was excited to try Jan's after hearing so much rave about them. Tried their chicken caesar wrap today. Those with nut allergies beware, the caesar dressing has cashews. I feel like this should be obnoxiously labeled everywhere. Most people will not think to even ask about nuts in a caesar salad/dressing and tree nut allergies are one of the most common. I almost didn't ask myself but at the last second choose to because these health bar places sure love to hide nuts in the randomest things Perfect example of today. Considering it isn't labeled on the advertisement or menu anywhere, it should be confident knowledge amongst your staff at least. The cashier said she didn't think there was any nuts and listed all the ingredients in the wrap but luckily double checked with the kitchen staff and confirmed the cashews in the dressing (which is mixed into the wrap + on the side) I was able to swap out the dressing. Then I proceeded to stand by and wait for 20+ minutes because I made the mistake of telling her to put it in a togo box so it'd be easier for me to pack up if needed. Apparently if you request a togo container rather than dine in, everyone in the kitchen automatically assumes you're just a delivery app/online order and they place it off the side instead of calling out your name like they should do with all orders. I stood there for over 20 minutes (with the cashier walking by noticing me and not acknowledging my wait) until I saw a couple who came in AFTER me get their order literally dropped off to them. Then I asked the cashier to check on my order because at this point, I assumed they forgot it. But nope, it was just sitting off to the side with 3 other orders because no one decided to call it out like they did with several orders before mine? My order was a single wrap, I felt like the cashier should've at least considered that I had been standing in front of her for a long time for one single item and taken the initiative to check on it or something. I imagine this is a common place for many folks to stop by in hopes of a quick lunch, during a work break, or with the fair expectation that they shouldn't be waiting as long (if not longer) than a sit down full service restaurant. I luckily came early enough otherwise I would've been way late for my doctors appointment waiting for my single wrap. The prices here are not cheap and while I don't mind paying a higher price for quality food, quality service should be apart of that experience. The wrap was enjoyable even with the swapped out dressing but the overall experience left me unsure if I'd be willing to come back. It all felt extremely disorganized and careless.
