This spot is Vietnamese dessert heaven. If you know, you know--and if you don't? Get yourself to Thạch Chè Mỹ Linh immediately. The chè here is absolutely chef's kiss. It's not overly sweet like a lot of other places--just that perfect balance of coconutty, chewy, crunchy, icy magic that hits every texture craving at once. My go-to is the chè thập cẩm (mixed dessert)--it's a beautiful chaos of mung beans, pandan jelly, red beans, jackfruit, and coconut milk over crushed ice. A full textural masterpiece. You'll also find a rainbow of Vietnamese jellies (thạch) stacked in the cold case like art. Everything is homemade, fresh, and wildly nostalgic if you grew up eating this stuff. It's giving: your auntie's kitchen, but with better lighting and way more variety. Bonus points for being super affordable, fast, and run by the sweetest family. It's cash only and takeout-style--nothing fancy--but honestly, that's part of the charm. Pro tip: Grab extra pandan jelly and grass jelly on the side. You'll thank me later.

Still my VNese sweet place to go to. Also, highly recommended come near the time they close so they will give you abit xtra, just saying. The foods are delish and hit all the sweet spots. Great service by staff and the owner. The place is spotless and well organized.

$6.50 for a Che Thai. They have a variety of Vietnamese desserts, all authentic. They take CASH ONLY.

The parking lot to get here on a Sunday is a mad house since it's shared by so many establishments. Once I finally arrived it wasn't too busy. Two friendly workers inside that helped me immediately. The shop is organized and felt neat and clean. I tried the che 3 mau and che thai. Both were really good and refreshing but the red beans in the che 3 mau were a little hard for my taste. The coconut milk they use for the che 3 mau is also so fatty because when I added the ice the fat congealed. I liked that they give you fresh shaved ice for your desserts. It melts fast to cool the dessert and is also easy to eat and crunch on. They are a cash only so remember to bring cash and get ready to eat some delicious desserts.

Where do Vietnamese peeps go for authentic desserts? Here. Been coming here for, like, ever. This was my late mama's favorite place too. So whenever I come here I always think of her. It is by far, the best place in Little Saigon for Vietnamese desserts. The quality continues to meet high expectations for me. The taste never changes. Their recipes stay consistent and delicious. So what is Vietnamese desserts"? Some is based with mung beans, corn, sweet potato, taro root, and with or without coconut milk. My favorite is Che Thai - it contains longan, coconut jelly, jackfruit, tapioca water chestnuts, pandan jelly, and more jelly, and coconut milk or half and half. It is so refreshing on a hot summer day. And they make the best here! Please try it. The chewy coconut jelly is so good. Definitely taste it! You will be hooked, especially on a hot soCal day There are so many 'che' to try. And shakes too. Have at it and enjoy a treat. Service is ALWAYS good and friendly. And they pack the food with love. The way every business should! Your food will never be damaged when you open up your package at home. I do like that the shop is well kempt. Major plus! Come and support this small local business and stimulate the economy. You will do them and yourself a great favor! Enjoy!

    All so yummy!!

Walked into this store once for some dessert fix and then.... I am hooked. I cant pronounce any of the item's names but I just try a bunch of different things every time and they all turn out to be great. Some ladies might not speak English there but it doesn't affect the fact that they are so nice and friendly. The only con is they are cash only

This hidden gem has been around for 13 years! Had no idea this little shop tucked away between Seafood Paradise and Stater Bros serves such fresh tapioca desserts (che), alfresco drinks and even to-go foods! The owner was so helpful and cute-- love how proud she is of her "baby" and you can tell she puts her heart and soul into it. She definitely takes pride in only the freshest ingredients, quality sources and cleanliness. Definitely our go-to!

Whenever I come to OC for work, I always have to pick up to go Vietnamese food and desserts (Che). I typically go to the other Che spot but wanted to try something new. Great Yelp reviews but the place is just ok. The Che was a bit watered down. Its a super clean spot and has chairs for you to enjoy, unlike others spots but the other spot is much better with food.

What I ordered: Coco Pandan Mousse DESSERT: 8/10 I loved how light my mousse was. Most importantly, it actually tasted like pandan! I was worried the pandan flavor was going to be mid and subtle, but each bite had a great pandan flavor. I had a bit of a drive back to my hotel, so I was advised to order mine frozen. I'm glad I took the staff member's advice because by the time I got to my hotel and finished dinner, it had thawed out perfectly. It was still cold-ish, room temp in the best way possible. SERVICE: 9/10 Great customer service! Upon arrival, the staff member who helped me was very nice. I was indecisive about what to order, so I really appreciated that she gave me a rundown and some suggestions on their most popular dishes. Most importantly, I appreciated her concern about my dessert melting by the time I got back to my hotel. If it wasn't for her and her advice to order the dessert frozen, I wouldn't have known and probably would've ended up with a deconstructed dessert. The way she packaged my dessert was also very helpful and considerate. AMBIANCE: 9/10 Definitely a cute place, and I can see this being a great go-to spot for groups. I loved how the back seating area had so many Polaroids plastered all over the walls. There are different types of seating depending on what you're in the mood for, and each seating area has a different vibe. There's also plenty of outdoor seating if you want to enjoy the weather while having your dessert!

The Matcha Latte was easily my favorite thing here. Super flavorful, sweet without being overly sweet, and dangerously easy to drink. I finished the entire thing so quickly that I genuinely wished I had ordered two. The Matcha Foam Coffee was also really good, especially if you want something with a stronger coffee kick. The bao buns were smaller than I expected, but I liked trying all the different fillings. The Combination Bao Bun was my favorite since you get a mix of the different meats and flavors in one bun. The Quail Egg Bao Bun was another standout. The egg itself is great, and I liked how the flavor carries throughout the bun instead of just tasting like a separate filling in the middle. The BBQ Pork Bao Bun had good flavor and a tasty bun, but I definitely wish they were a little more generous with the meat. The Salted Duck Egg Bao Bun was still good, but the saltier filling wasn't quite as enjoyable for me compared to the others. Definitely more of a specific flavor preference. I also tried the grilled pork banh mi and really enjoyed it. The bread has that nice firm exterior while still staying soft enough inside, and the pork is flavorful with a solid amount of meat. Others in our group ordered the Crispy Roast Pork Banh Mi as well, so there are plenty of savory options if you're not just coming for the bao. Service is quick and pretty straightforward, with part of the experience being self-service. It definitely helps if you speak Vietnamese, but overall everything moves fast and it feels built for picking up a bunch of food and heading out. Great little spot to stop by when you want something quick, tasty, and easy to take home.

Overall, good enough banh mi, though they don't give as much veggies inside the banh mi as other places.. Their pork belly is good and you can also order by pounds. Their buns is also good, quick and convenient way to buy for small picnics.
