Wow Bambaz, I'm in love. It's hard to find late night eats in downtown LG! And I'm not even talking 'late night' - this was like 11 PM. We didn't want a pizza slice, and all of the bars had stopped serving food. And then we found Bambaz, and our problem was solved. They are known for their crispy chicken sandwiches and tots, so of course we had to order. Everything was delicious and totally satisfied our late night craving (especially after a few drinks). The decor and vibes are also super cute here. It's a family run spot and the owner is so nice and friendly. We got to talking and even learned that we were from the same town. Totally a small world. We were up in Lake George with family to spend a beautiful day together. After checking out the fort and walking around, we started to get hungry. Hubby discovered Bambaz on a previous trip and couldn't wait to get back. The host, Vincent, remembered him and came to talk to us which was so nice. I always like when owners come around to check on you. The food did not disappoint. I had the best Grilled Chicken Parmesan sandwich of my life! They make their own bread, it's like a mix between a focaccia and biscuits. I'm not of the process but IT IS SOOOOO GOOD. Hubby got the Mac and Cheese bowl that was also incredible and HUGE! Seriously...it feeds at least two people. I had quite a bit for someone with a sensitivity to dairy but I didn't care...I was willing to pay the consequences! Ha ha The place is small and cozy AND we were allowed to bring our well behaved pup with us which made a huge difference. Thank you Vincent for a great meal. I walked into this burger spot and was greeted with amazing service. I was talking to the owner, Vincent, and his son from the time I ordered until the time the food was out. I never have met owners of a business that were so kind and sincere. We had such great conversation, but the experience there just began. Both me and my girlfriend ordered a smash burger and a side of mac and cheese. The food was a 10/10. The burger was perfectly cooked with their house sauce and toppings. It wasn't greasy and didn't feel heavy; it also came on a seeded bun. The Mac and cheese was creamy and delicious, and topped with a little bread crumbs. Nothing was heavy or oily. We bought the Trio Mac. It was huge and the two of us shared it. It was so good. The owner is super friendly and helpful.

Possibly the best Mac 'n' cheese we've ever had - and we've had lots. The smash burger was sensational, too. Even the fries exceeded expectations - crispy, fluffy, and not too salty. Fun fact: They make their OWN CHEESE. Amazing. And like someone else said, the portions are large: One Mac 'n' cheese bowl filled me up and leftovers filled up my husband the next night. The chef/owner himself brought out our smash burger and Mac 'n' cheese, and his wife/owner checked on us several times. The woman at the counter was so friendly and polite, too. Fantastic service. The patio is tiny but it was fun to sit a people watch while we ate (at 10 pm on a summer Thursday). Open very late, too! We have been coming to lake George for 3 summers now. Eat the Mac and cheese bowl last summer and really enjoyed it so,we stopped in for it again this summer and saw they had a smash burger now. OMG it was absolutely amazing! Really might be one of the best smash burgers I've had in some time and we eat out quite often. We came back multiple times In the week we were up there this year! The tots and fries were amazing as well. They have a mango drink that was really good also! As well as the food being amazing,the service was top notch also. I work a few doors down, have all summer and I'm ashamed to admit that yesterday is the first time I've even tried the food. Yesterday we got a Smashburger with fries, the special sauce on the side and Mac and cheese that had tots and nuggets on top. First off- the service was speedy and the food was affordable. Cute shop also! Very clean :) The wait was almost non existent and the food. THE FOOD!!! It was delicious, the tots were crunchy on the outside but soft in the inside. The nuggets had the perfect crispness and the Mac and cheese was out of this world. Burger was 5 starts too. Cooked perfectly and that special sauce is amazing! Little hidden gem in Lake George Village. Service was excellent. Smash burgers were amazing. Mac and Cheese were delicious as well as our nuggets and fries. Disappointing....the staff was super friendly, and owner seemed great too. However, I expect if you're going to have a simple menu-the basics should be done right. Smash burger-when done correctly, is a delicious way you can prepare a burger. A really hot cooking surface, and burger pressed down (smashed) to create a wonderful caramelization and crust on the outside of the burger-which seals in the juices and should result in a delicious juicy burger. Our burgers were gray. There was absolutely no browning on the burger patties. The meat inside was mealy, dry and gray. Sauce was skimpy, roll was dry/stale. Tater tots were crispy and delicious; but with the 5 star ratings here on Yelp ; I was expecting deliciousness. Also, the seating area was stifling! I had a hard time enjoying my meal while it was 110 degrees in the place. Concept is great-need to work on execution. Also; no recycling bin? Come on... just put a basket out. In this day and age that's just inexcusable. Best of luck moving forward-I hope my criticism are constructive ; that is my intention. read more
