DO NOT COME HERE. It was our one year anniversary, and we were visiting lake George for the day to celebrate. Unfortunately this place left us with a terrible taste in our mouths-literally. Our waitress was nice enough, but made every other table a priority. We ordered calamari and mozz sticks. The calamari was like chewing on rubber bands and unfortunately we waited almost an hour to receive that. We sat there for another 45 minutes before our entrees came out. At this point people who arrived after us have now left. I ordered the grilled chicken Alfredo. The chicken clearly came from a can. It was beige, dry and tasted literally like it was from a can. I could tell the waitress didn't even want to put it down in front of me. I have never not eaten a dish before, and I have never complained about my food. The steak and cheese was solid, and the kids' version hit the same mark, so those were definite bright spots. Everything else dragged it down. The fries were classic meh Sysco "crispy" fries--the kind that show up everywhere and taste like nowhere special. A proper hand-cut fry would've elevated the whole plate and made the meal feel a lot more intentional. Soup and salad were largely underwhelming, nothing that lingered in a good way. I'm not a breakfast fan but when I saw they had breakfast sandwiches, I was a happy camper. They have inside and outside seating and we chose inside because of the sun. Our server brought menus and coffee and quickly took our order. My sandwich was egg, cheese and bacon on rye marble bread. The sandwich arrived nice and hot and the bread was well toasted. Got a pizza and some chili. The chili was very good not spicy as indicated but still tasty. The pizza really isn't a pizza. It's more of a flatbread and needed to be cooked a lot more. Service was good considering how busy it was and we sat outside so we could see the lake and the cars. So that was nice. Having had a slight obsession with both the classic Dumas novel as well as a variation of the sandwich (think less breakfast-y and more dinner-y) back in the day... I just had to drag the rest of my family here. While enjoying both people watching (on Canada Street) and pigeon watching (between the tables... these birds were fearless!) while on the first floor outdoor patio I kept noticing other diners getting this massive pasta dish that could've easily fed 3-4 people. And sure enough: when my broiled haddock came out - it was a mound of food meant for two. The fish (nicely cooked and flaky) and sides (rice and veggies) were a bit bland and boring (everything could've benefited from more seasoning, for sure) but overall it was... okay. (And I'm slightly embarrassed to also report I finished the entire thing by myself.) "Summer Salad" got a lot of self-promotion but the Mrs. had a handful of grips about it. (One being their obsession and overuse of candied nuts/fruits - which was the reason I didn't actually order a Monte Cristo here myself.) We enjoyed a good and happy lunch here last week. The weather was warm and we dined on the front porch, which made for some excellent people watching. Of course what matters is the food, and our sandwiches were well-prepared, tasty and generously filled, and our server was a genial, attentive woman (sorry, we forgot her name). The grilled turkey wrap was just right, crunchy wrap with moist meat inside, and the pastrami reuben was just as delicious with a heap of pastrami and sauerkraut. The sides were chips and pickles. The Shrimp and Scallop over pasta was full of flavor and good sizes of seafood. I ate all of the topping and left a lot of pasta as I got full fast. The pasta was cooked well and served hot with a spoon. They have outside and inside tables so you can sit at the bar or people watch out by the street. I ordered a long island ice tea and it was served with a half of a lemon. It tastes more like lemonade to me. The waiter was great and made me a new one right off minus the lemon and it was much better. Nice atmosphere, not too loud and busy but not crazy. Worth going back to. read more

Visiting Lake George as gluten free and pregnant, I had only found a few places that met my dietary requirements...I was CRAVING a sandwich so bad, but knew cold cuts were a no go. Our waiter Bobby was SO kind and asked the chef if he could make me a wrap with grilled chicken, since they were not too busy. I was in luck, they said yes, and it was JUST what I wanted. Pros & Cons. Cons: While it is great they have re-opened, they haven't quite figured out what an ideal 30% means to their restaurant & staff, therefore the place is a hot mess. Their ordering line was the same line for indoor seating, outdoor seating, and take-away food-but they did a lousy job explaining this, leading to seated people discovering they had to come back and wait in line (therefore not happy people were everywhere). Then, they had a limited menu & daily specials, but nothing posted what changed on top of those so ordering was a guess & check..'do you have this? can you make this?'. I felt bad it led to me having to call family while ordering to ask about a ton of changes. We ordered 6 meals to go, with an upgrade for two meals from chips to fries. I personally ordered the Monte Cristo to share with my hubby who ordered the Works Pizza. The rest of the family all got sandwiches w.one add-on cup of soup. Lucky for us I checked all the boxes before leaving to discover they did not upgrade our chips to fries, that we did pay for. Therefore, we had to ask for fries on the side, which led to standing around for a while, food was knowingly getting cold Pros: When we finally got home to eat...the only woeful dish was the soup. Their only to-go soup container was a to-go coffee cup which we thought maybe meant you got way less soup than you would have in the restaurant (I hope so, because it was a very measly cup). Other than that, the rest of the food was very well made. All sandwiches were packed with ingredients, well-seasoned toasted bread, juicy meats, and lots of savory seasoning. The pizza was so loaded with toppings it was hard to pick up. They definitely don't skimp. So overall, I'll say the kitchen knows what they are doing...it's everyone else that needed to get it together. With their reasonable prices, it's an enjoyable take-out meal..just put up with the mess while they figure it all out. P.S There is free street parking a few streets down, off the main road. Do not come here! Save your money for somewhere else. Specifics: my pizza tasted like cardboard. There was no sauce. Totally unappetizing. This is a nice quick and easy place to go to on the main strip of Lake George. I came here recently to watch the car show. We got seated right away which was nice. The staff was super friendly. They advertise pizza outside but on the menu did not show pizza. Inside and outside of this place is not very attractive to be honest. We just wanted a nice seat for the car show. It has a nice view of the park as well. I ordered a bacon cheese burger which was really tasty. The fries were really good as well. But what bothered me was that the burgers and fries don't come together. You have to pay extra for french fries. But they give you potato chips instead. The buffalo burger was not as appealing. The menu offered a good variety. We started with bang-bang shrimp and fried mushrooms for appetizers. They were devoured quickly! My sister had a big bowl of their lobster bisque and really enjoyed it. My cousin had a huge salad, and my niece had the turkey bacon sandwich. All enjoyed their meals.
