We went to Bambolina after doing a tour of the Salem Witch Museum this past weekend (November 2025). This is a cute restaurant with a lot of space and friendly staff. The menu is quite unique in that they serve italian food (pizza/pastas) and also ramen! We dined with 4 adults and 4 kids. We got some of everything - ramen and pizza and it was all very good. There are even kid-friendly ramen dishes that you can ask about, where you choose the broth, noodle type and protein. This was our second time visiting Bambolina and we'll be back again!

We're in Salem in October so lines are to be expected however there was not a line here which was shocking since the food looked great! We were seated within 10 minutes if not, less. Ambiance was noisy but not headache level. I really enjoyed how they served Italian and Asian food. Chasu pork buns 10/10: Good ratio of meat to vegetables to bun. Warm. Bun was soft as it should be. Great snack Puff & pear 10/10: Would get this drink again. Nice balance. Medium sweetness which was perfect.

First of all the fact that this concept is a restaurant is a dream come true, pizza napolitana and ramen all in one??? Obsessed. And it did not disappoint! We split a hot pepper and pepperoni pizza, I got the Spicy White Kimchi Ramen and my partner got the Colonel Sanders Ramen. No notes on anything, just perfection.

Mushroom fettuccine. Extra creamy is what talking about!

Ambient is friendly and cozy. Great place to bring your best friend or your kiddos! Food was delicately delicious. Tell me what you think when you visit.

Stopped in for lunch totally unplanned. We were actually on our way to another restaurant when we walked by this location and decided pizza sounded like a much better plan. We were pleasantly surprised. The pizza was delicious. The crust was chewy while still crisp. Our Caesar salad was very flavorful. The service was incredibly friendly and prompt. The restaurant itself was very clean and cute. Very happy with our decision to stop in.

Came here for a late lunch yesterday afternoon. Place was pretty quiet but it was between lunch and dinner hours. Ordered two pizzas, the mortadella and the capricciosa. Both were delicious, the mortadella was my favorite. we loved the crust here. Everything balanced. Decor was nice and service was ok. Def will be back!

I've been to Bambolina a few times and have always really enjoyed it. It's in a great location with a warm vibe and friendly service. My most recent visit was on a Sunday night a few months ago and it was fairly busy. Not packed but still lively. We loved the salad. It was absolutely delicious and I don't think I've ever seen my boyfriend eat that many greens. I'm glad my friends were willing to split pizzas. The artichoke and arugula pizza was my favorite, though everyone enjoyed everything. I've gotten pepperoni in the past and liked that as well. The pizza is just great here. Drinks were good too. Bambolina is also good because they've combined with Kokeshi, another favorite, so if your group is craving different things, Bambolina will work well. Though I miss the old Kokeshi space. Pastas are next on my to-try list here and I'm to return soon.

Amazing gluten free awesomeness!! I will be saying yes to a few drops of the chilli oil & flakes again. Yes to this place!

The restaurant is cozy with exposed brick, pipes, and wood. There is also a small outdoor seating area. The place can be busy, we tried to go several days prior, but the line was out the door. They offer great service and the menu is clearly marked for avoiding gluten. Every single person in our group loved this place! We all got noodles of some type. We were all happy. Highly recommend!!

Great Service & delicious food. Im still dreaming of the bolognese pasta 2wks later. The beet salad was also delicious.

This was my first time at Bambalina and we went for lunch. On the positive side, service was very good- quick and super nice server- and the pizza was good. On the "con" side, the price of drinks was scandalous ($14 for a glass of wine, no bottle of wine under $48), the pizza toppings were scarce, and the Alfredo sauce was super heavy. The decor/ size/ ambience were good and the location is of course amazing, which is probably what's driving the prices. I don't think I will go back.

The pizza and pasta were absolutely amazing and tasted truly authentic. We were so stuffed but honestly couldn't stop eating because everything was that good. The staff was wonderful, welcoming, and made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend!

We were in Salem for the day and decided to go to Bambolina after a quick search. The interior was nicely decorated with warm lighting. Love the wood fired pizza oven. It was pretty empty in there when we came. I didn't expect it to be a joint space with Kokeshi. We ordered the bay scallop linguine, back alley ramen, ahi tuna poke, ragout Bolognese, forest mushroom and sausage pizza to share. They ended up giving us the margherita pizza due to a miscommunication. I was a bit bummed because I was excited to try the mushroom. Everything was okay, nothing to complain about, but also nothing amazing to it. I did enjoy the scallops. They were very sweet.

I stumbled upon this restaurant while exploring the historic Salem area. I was originally looking for Kokeshi ramen and as it turns out, Bambolina and Kokeshi are the same restaurant, just serving different cuisines. I had seen Bambolina on Yelp with good reviews so I thought I'd try it out instead of Kokeshi. I ordered the sausage pizza, while my girlfriend ordered a ramen dish. The ramen came out in about 15 minutes, and my pizza was still missing. I went ahead and told my girlfriend to start on the ramen since we didn't want it getting cold while waiting for my pizza. We knew it would probably take a little longer than the ramen to come to our table, however the wait got more ridiculous as time went by. I kid you not, my girlfriend finished her entire bowl of ramen before my pizza even came out- probably about 30-35 mins from ordering. The pizza itself was okay. Exactly what I expected. Nothing more, nothing less, which was fine, apart from the wait. When we were finished eating, I gave my card to my waiter. I'm not sure what was going on, but they must have had my card for another 30 minutes with no explanation or update. I was worried they might take my card information with the amount of time they had it, but I didn't see any other suspicious charges. Overall, would not recommend solely due to the wait time of my pizza. It was apparent we weren't the only table with this issue. At least two other tables were waiting 30 plus minutes for their pizza to come out. There was so much to explore in Salem and I feel like waiting around for an average pizza took away from that.

Pork buns were great and margherita pizza was steaming and had a perfect crust. The breadsticks on the tables were also a nice touch.

April 17, 2026 I…read morewent with my parents tonight to the Adriatic Restaurant (Washington Street), Salem, MA. We've started having dinner out twice a month and this was the most recent experience. I had gone online to the NORTH SHORE DINNING PAGE on Facebook and asked people about their experiences with the restaurant in the last two days and here's what people said: "great, tender meatballs", "great eggplant parmigiana", "very good experience". .... And what we found out is that they were right. Those things were all true! Now.... As to what we ordered: I got the grilled octopus. It was the only partial miss on the menu. Arugula just doesn't make a very good sauce and it was a pretty bad base for what would otherwise might have been a great appetizer. My mother got the Caesar salad. It was good. It's a hard thing to screw up. My father ordered the meatballs. They were amazing and delicious - just like Facebook promised. The tzatziki sauce was good. Maybe not as good as mine, but good nonetheless. So dinner.... Mine was the Chicken Saltimboca. It was so good that I'd bathe in the sauce they make with it. I loved eating forkfuls of the chicken with bites of the mashed potatoes. That was really luxuriant. My mother had the Eggplant parmigiana and she wiped out the entire plate. She loved it. My father.... Beef tenderloin tips. Maybe cooked slightly too much, but delicious. He wiped out the plate. To drink.... I was out of the hospital and recovering from brain tumor surgery, so I had the hard cider (3.5% BV), my father had the Peroni (Italian) beer, and my mother had the Bud light. I tasted the Peroni and liked it very much. The hard cider had almost no sweetness to it. It was dry as a higher end brut champagne.... Which actually set off the meal really nicely. My tastes weren't clashing and that was good. Our waiter, Sean, was great. Ask for him! We left a $32 tip, so the bill came to $197.85

I had a delicious espresso martini and for apps I tried the arancini and picked off my sister's caesar salad. They were both alright, but the caesar could've used more dressing and I didn't love the flavor of the arancini - just a bit bland. For my entree I had the shrimp scampi. This also really lacked flavor, and I was yearning for more tomatoes. The service was great and our waitress Leanna was attentive and super sweet. They had clean bathrooms and ample parking out front and around the block. However, the food wasn't memorable, and I don't think I'll go out of my way to return.

When we arrived the place was nearly empty, which come to find out places aren't as busy on a Monday. There was one other table finishing up in the main dinning area, and one other group arrived at the same time we did. We were greeted and sat quickly, but that's where the speed of things kinda came to a slow down. I'll start with some of the positives - our waitress was really nice and she had a helper who also was nothing but polite and friendly. The decor is really cool! There was no one in the entire back room of the restaurant, so I went and took a peak back there on the way to the bathroom and it had old cameras, typewriters, cool pieces of art, the main room also have some great scales of justice, and other fun features. They also had all the Halloween decor, if anyone needed to use the restroom we were told to go towards the large mirror, and I would always add on to my friends "with the creepy doll on it". After about 2 to 3 minutes my entire party had and water was brought to the table and served in plastic cups. Which at a place with white table clothes felt a little strange. At some point after our waitress returned to take drink orders and an appetizer of the calamari. She then asked "have I offered you all any bread yet" we said no, but we would love bread. She said "okay it will be $3" and walked away. We all kinda looked at each other confused, because the phrasing seemed like it was complementary bread but we were really hungry at this point and the bread ended up being really good - but it was a small portion for $3. I think 6 thinner slices in total. We waited a while before she returned for our food order. The menu has what you expect from an Italian places but also has a large section of Mexican dishes, which feels mismatched, it wasn't fusion style it was just Italian and Mexican separately, it just feels really disjointed. I went with the bolognese and one of my friends decided to order the tacos because it felt so silly to do in an Italian spot (and who doesn't like tacos generally). The calamari came out at some point after the bread, but we finished the bread, the calamari, and all our waters at a causal pace after that. We were sitting for a while before anyone came back to the room where we were seated. At this point there were maybe 3 or 4 tables sat in our room and possible one other couple up towards the front area. As many of us were out of water, I headed up towards the bar area or host stand to see if I could find someone. I ran into the guy who was assisting with our table and asked if we could get some more water - which happened promptly. About 5 to 10 minutes after that our waitress returned with even more water and told us food would be out soon. The food arrived maybe 10 minutes after that, so it had been a while since we ordered. The bolognese was fine, the pasta wasn't overcooked, the sauce lacked some depth and the meat was a little firmer than anticipated but overall it was still okay. They did offer some Parmesan cheese to be added to any of the pastas or tacos. The total for 5 people, with no alcohol, one soda, one order of calamari, the $3 bread, and the already added gratuity (which they did mention was already added in at 20% and it was also stated on the bill) ended up being $208. Overall, the food was fine, nothing to make a special trip for. Service was friendly, but very slow. The vibes were a little mismatched - Mexican food with Italian food and plastic cups with white table clothes. Overall, it's a fine experience if you are needing a reservation.

Restaurant Week, as per the Salem Chamber of Commerce's website, is summed up as: "Participating restaurants offered special two- and three-course prix-fixe menus, giving locals and visitors alike a chance to explore, support, and celebrate Salem's vibrant dining scene." For $45 I got cheddar jalapeño fritters, a poutine burger (hamburger with fries cheese and gravy on top, kale Caesar salad with freshly grated cheese, and fresh, piping hot apple cider donuts. The burger was hearty, the fritters popped, and the donuts hit the spot but by far the standout was the kale caesar salad with the creamy dressing over crispy and crunchy kale topped with the tangy grated cheese. A Downeast cider washed it all down and was refreshing. I went on a weekday so there were a few people sitting at the bar with me but overall the place wasn't packed. What I really appreciated was the general manager came to talk to me specifically about their Restaurant Week food selection and to get my feedback. She was super friendly and I told her about the kale caesar salad. Parking is on the street and can be hit or miss because The Babe is right on Washington Street where it starts to curve around the corner. It's worth it to keep circling though.
