First time eating here. The staff welcomed us with a smile and were attentative throughout our visit. Prices were good & the food was delicious. Lots of food and flavor. Huge variety of cuisine from Chinese, Japanese, & Japanese. Love the add-on options. We had a bit of everything fromkitchen, too a vegan handroll, eggplant tofu, shrimp & veggies, and orange chicken.

I was on the hunt for the best orange chicken in the immediate area. So far, the orange and lemon chicken here is my favorite around here. The Mongolian beef was a pleasant surprise. It was nice sizes of meat and juicy and tender. Best Mongolian beef I had to date. The restaurant is not fancy decore by any means, but the service was very polite and friendly and definitely going back for more of the same and try other things.

    Fried rice with teriyaki chicken!

Friendly service and the food was hot and fresh in 10 minutes! Definitely recommend coming to this restaurant for some high quality Asian food! I loved the big designs they had on the walls as well. It felt very unique inside the restaurant.

Visted this place for lunch today while looking for something to eat here in Riverbank. Not a lot of choices just yet in the area mostly chain restaurants. So I decided to try this Chinese food place. My takeaway was this just a very average Chinese restaurant. The Mongolian beef plate was ok. The beef had more of a garlic and onion taste and less of what I'm used to which is more of sweet tangy spicy taste. The chow mein lacked flavor and was a bit cold and that's because we ordered and the food came out super fast. The rice lacked flavor as well. Probably the best part of the meal was the hot and sour soup. It was just above average. Don't think I would eat here again. Nothing tasted close to what I'm used to. The service was good. The ambiance was local small town Chinese diner.

The food here has gone downhill fast. Like building on fire fast. I dropped in with a buddy on a Monday evening due to our go to being closed. We each had the combination dinner plate. It comes with choice of entree, chow mein, fried rice, and an egg roll. I had garlic chicken. He had teriyaki chicken. Both had great presentation but tasted so terribly bland that I had to ask the waitress if they had a new cook. Sadly it wasn't that simple. My egg flower soup sucked, my garlic chicken sucked, the chow mein was so overcooked it was almost soggy, and the supposedly pork fried rice looked like white rice with corn stirred into it then topped with chopped pork. They also topped the chow mein the same way. The potstickers were so awful that we ate 2 of 6 and left the rest. I did enjoy the egg roll tho! Although the service was nice, and the ambiance was vibing oriental, the food was so terrible that we chose not to even take our leftovers. I will not be back.

Cheese Rangoon- sad little almost empty shell. They were all like this. I'll stick with the chow fun from now on.

I'm basing this review solely on 1 visit for takeout. I ordered a special house chow fun and cream cheese Rangoon for takeout on this rainy day. The chow fun was absolutely amazing!!!! Great fat yummmy noodles, tons of meat- super fresh and flavorful. The Rangoon was highly disappointing. They really skimp on the cream cheese. Won't get that again. But the chow fun will get me back there for sure!! Beautiful space. Quiet. Friendly employees who assured me my food was almost ready a couple times. And it was fast but you could still tell it was fresh and made to order. The Rangoon is reason why I only gave 4 stars. I'll go back and try some new stuff next time.

Served me chicken that looks not cooked then still charged me not good business stop thinking about just getting the money I would of been a good customer but the way you treated me that was it won't be back

We ordered drinks and I got the Canton Fiesta drink, this was so fresh and a great summer drink. We then got the crispy rice bites with beef tartare and a curry crab. Then we ordered dinner, we got the watermelon salad, popcorn chicken, shaking beef, shrimp fried rice, and the roasted potatoes. All the portion sizes are pretty big so we ordered more than enough food for three people. Everything was incredible, so fresh and great flavors. We had leftovers so they boxed those up for us and told us they'd have them for us at the front to take before we left. I thought this was a nice touch so you didn't have a big bag sitting at your table at the end of your meal. All in all I would definitely recommend this restaurant and am looking forward to coming back again!

Heaven. One of my favorite spots for vegan sushi, and one of the only spots in the area (that I…read moreknow of) where the entire menu is vegan. And what a relief that is as I have trouble finding sushi that's even vegetarian around here these days. Yes, Village of OM is on the expensive side, and yes, it is worth it. You will not find any boring, flavorless vegetable rolls here. Somehow both classy and comfortable at the same time, with that mood lighting that I quite enjoy. I would def come here on date but both times I've visited so far have been with friends. On my last visit I was treated to a delicious birthday dinner, complete with complimentary raspberry sorbet and cream dessert with sparkler on top. I do not remember the last time someone told the server it was my birthday and I got a little something, what a nice treat. :-) Some of my favorite items on the menu: Chef's Choice Nigiri: may include eggplant, trumpet mushroom, oshi salmon roll (Sooooo tasty. Fish flavor without the fish? Yes.), lomi salmon, lion's mane, etc. Perfect to share with another person. Pan Fried Gyoza Salt & Pepper Tofu The Village Roll: Arrives in a smoky globe for extra flavor ambiance! tempura roasted yam, grilled lion's mane, avocado, house sauce, fried onion, micro greens, wood smoked Zen Garden Roll: micro greens, shittake mushroom, pickled daikon, radish, shiso, ginger, green onion, tamari, and crushed, roasted sesame. The daikon is a little overpowered, but all of the components taste so great together regardless. Ziggy of Om Roll: I love an apple roll! This one also has tempura trumpet mushroom, green onion, avocado, and spicy orange sauce. Their cocktail menu is really cool, too. Sorted by each of the four elements. My recommendations are the Paper Crane, Air (Vodka Lychee), and Ocean Vibes. I want to try their Old Fashioned but it has my kryptonite in it (star anise) so I'll have to ask for a modification. Something I've no doubt they would do. No fear, they've also salads (including tea leaf and curry), small bites, and noodle dishes on the menu if you aren't in the mood for sushi. There is also bar seating if you would rather that than a table in the dining area. Staff are professional and approachable. I always enjoy myself when I come in and look forward to my return. Bathroom report is fancy vibes and comfort, much the same as the dining area. Street parking only, and you can find some unmetered in the area, but be careful if chancing the clusterf that is the Safeway parking lot.

Sunday's visit was a bit stuffy inside. It was warmer than it needed to be, but it was comfortable in a short sleeve top and shorts. Sunday's high was 76. Parking is an issue, it's all street parking and on a Sunday in April it's quite busy. We lucked out and found a space only a couple of blocks away, close to the boxing gym behind Rick's Dessert Diner. Someone was just pulling out when we were cruising around for a parking space. It's all luck of the draw and The parking didn't have a time limit on it as it was a Sunday and there wansn't a meter. if you're willing to walk a few blocks you've got a higher chance of finding a space. There are a couple of parking lots, but they are paid parking and a few many blocks away. When looking at their menu you will notice that everyone is sold in multiples. You can't buy a single Bao, they only come in sets of 8. Potsticker are understandable and come in sets of 12, which splitting between two people is manageable. Right above us and behind glass there was someone making potstickers from scratch. They have a little machine that you place the filling in the skins and the machine stuffs the potstickers and folds them. They can make a lot in a short amount of time. We really liked the potstickers. I love how they pan fried them. They were all a little toasty, just what we had hoped for. They aren't that toasty on their own, but hey gave us two sauces. A soy sauce based sweet sauce, that was my favorite and a oil and red pepper sauce, that was a little spicy, but not too much. I could dunk a whole potsticker in it and my mouth wasn't burning. The dumplings would have been a healthier option as they aren't pan fried with all that oil, but not what I was craving. These were a good snack to tie us over before dinner. We also came back later after hanging out in midtown on our way home we bought 6 BBQ Pork Bao to go. They don't come with the paper on the bottom, which is nice as it's always hard to remove. They are easy to reheat in the microwave. My plans is to make them a good snack. I tried one right after we bought them and they were perfect. Good amount to meat inside and not too doughy. I'd order them again. I would go back, with the knowledge that it's a warm environment. Come with an appetite. They also make noodle dishes and other dishes such as honey walnut shrimp.
