We ordered takeout and the food all came out hot and freshly made. It was a huge order for a group. I got chicken and broccoli and asked that it be boiled instead of fried, and ordered a large order of egg flower soup. My sister got steamed veggies so I stole some of hers and they were steamed to perfection! Delicious bok choy, broccoli, mushrooms and carrots. I ate my own steamed broccoli but was not a huge fan of the chicken. And that's only because it's thighs and not breasts, and I don't like the texture of chicken thighs. I ate a few bites and it was good, but I just didn't like the texture . But if you like chicken thighs, then you would like this. Now for the egg flower soup!! So good! Lacking a bit on the egg but full of broccoli, carrots, peas, onions and celery. I devoured the small cup they gave me and saved the big cup for leftovers. Very good!! Their hot and sour soup here is delicious as well. I was happy and very full, but still ate that fortune cookie . Lots of leftovers!!!! Huge portions! My sister picked the food up so I have no idea what the inside looks like or how their customer service is. I found my new favorite local Chinese restaurant. These pot stickers are thick, fresh and delicious. The vinegar sauce they serve with it is just as delicious. I loved the fresh hot tea that was perfect while watching the rain and traffic go by outside. Now....this fully packed with fresh vegetables and meat War Won Ton soup was exactly what my bone marrow needed! What a delicious meal and great flavor! These guys got it down and especially with their customer service being as welcoming and friendly! Come on in, there is plenty of safe parking. They have ADA parking and inside seating as well. I was able to speak with a few of the other locals and they have repeatedly be returning faithfully over the years and I think I will be as well! The food is delicious! I ordered the beef Hong Kong style chow mein with the crispy noodles. Everything is fresh bok choy, and all the veggies are still crispy. The noodles were crispy. The beef is the most flavorful, tender beef. I've had at any Chinese restaurant. I'm told they use tri-tip meat and they velvet it and it's so tender! I also ordered the lunch special for $12.50 which was shrimp chicken and beef with mixed vegetables over rice. That was also delicious! The shrimp was fabulous. It was so tender. It was cooked perfectly so was the chicken and of course the beef as mentioned earlier. The veggies were fresh and crispy, and it even came with a cup of soup. The service is so friendly they're very nice here very clean. This is the second time I've been here in the past couple of months and it's now my favorite. read more

Last week on the way back from Yosemite late evening, we're hungry and wanted to have dinner before getting home late. We searched on the map and we found this restaurant in Oakdale. It's in a huge parking lot that is easy to find a space, it was a Friday and quite a few people in the restaurant, good sign. This seems to be a family owned restaurant, the 2 brothers seem to take care of everything from busting the table to serving. They're both quite pleasant and attentive. Looking at the menu, the prices are quite reasonable, every dish is under $18. We're hungry and tired so we ordered the wor wonton soup to start, our favorite Chinese soup, we got the medium but quite large for both of us since we wanted to order something else. The soup is quite tasty although the color of the soup isn't as clear as other restaurant, the wontons are over cooked and the skin are falling off the meat, everything else is good. Mu Shu pork: it came with 5 chinese tortilla, quite large, a little thick but eatable, the stir fried ingredients are quite flavorful. It's also huge, I think it's intended for 5 people as appetizer. Beef Chow Fun (dry) which we like, came out very good and the portion is also big. It looks like we're going to take a whole bunch home. The Sizzling combo plate is quite sizzling and very tasty, but we could only try a few bites because we're full. This restaurant is quite amazing for the area. We're glad we found this place, everything is inexpensive and quite excellent. Next time if we go to Yosemite, we may stop by. read more

Haven't had a bad meal here. Love their fried zucchini. Excellent soups. Combo plates are enough food for dinner and lunch the next day. Thick noodles for the chow mein, which are superior, in my opinion. We are huge fans of this place, its our go-to Chinese food place in town. I stopped by China House today to pick up dinner for tonight. It was recommended by a few neighbors on Next Door. It was horrible!!!!! I ordered 2 combo dinners: Garlic chicken, almond chicken, chow mein and fried rice. I've attached a picture of the CHICKEN chow mein and the GARLIC chicken. The garlic chicken had to be cooked 2-3 days ago. It had no flavor of garlic or chicken! There was no glaze-like sauce on it, none! There was no chicken, or anything else in the chow mein.... only noodles. The almond chicken literally had barely any almonds in it, so I added my own. It did have chicken but I'm not sure what part of the chicken it was. Worse Chinese food EVER!!!!! read more

Really not good at all. Service was mediocre at best. The girl did say she was new after she kept answering our questions with" I believe so". Um, that's not a good answer for someone who doesn't eat red meat. and, for the combo dinner meal that I ordered... I could not get a soup without meat in it & the fried rice was only available in pork she said. And the spring roll had meat too! Kind of weird in this day and age not to have regular fried rice and vegetable spring roll . My order was wrong. They were willing to remake but We waited so long and I was hungry. My shrimp & vegetable dish was so bland, I had to put the spicey sauce that's left on the table just to get some flavor going:( Red carpet needs to be replaced. Chairs so uncomfortable and old. I last gave them a 5 star, but on sun my wife and I celebrating our 35th anniversary wanted Chinese so we ordered from our favorite place. Well the garlic chicken my wife ordered was overcooked and dry and hard as hockey pucks, some were even burnt... I got the sweet and sour pork, and it too was old and hard as pucks. the only reason they get 2 stars today is because they still made great chowmein. If you want real authentic chowmein with the big noodles not top ramen, then they still hold the record for that. I think the next time we buy anything from them it will just be chowmein and nothing else. read more

The food here is so good. I drive 45 minutes out of my way to come here for the best Chinese food! That is not an over exaggeration. When I lived in San Jose I would drive here and now I live a little closer and the drive is always worth it. The owners are really friendly and make sure you have a pleasant experience whether dining in or taking out. We ordered sizzling rice soup, Peking spareribs, salt & pepper shrimp, combination fried rice, and deep fried chicken. Everything was amazing as usual, hot and fresh.
