Awesome place!!! I had shrimp sushi, spring rolls and pad Thai. Wife had spring rolls and a dragon roll. She said the dragon roll maybe her new favorite of all time! I absolutely love pho and for me this is the only place to get it within 100 miles of my house. The pho here is quite good, other standard dishes like lo mein and sesame chicken are good as well. Only been there a few times, and the first was not the best. The choices were very limited. The second was quite the opposite. It seems on the first visit we were given only the slide in for the regular menu. The waitress must have been on drugs. That said the food here is very good and very different from most Chinese restaurants. It's worth going to if you're visiting Bonham or one of our residents. Everything on the menu is great, and the waitstaff is great, cheerful, and accommodating! Worth the visit every time! read more

Combination pad Thai is excellent. Husband has had the Sesame chicken, which was just ok (sauce is a little funky), and the sweet and sour chicken, which was good. Tried a few sushi dishes, all delish with great presentation. Service is always 5 stars, nice atmosphere, and clean! Would like to see a few more Pho options. read more

When we went for Friday lunch they were busy but we were able to get a table without a wait. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious! We tried their Pad Thai noodles, Pot Stickers and Wonton Shrimp appetizer. All were excellent. The decor was simple but pretty. If you like Asian food, give them a try when in town. read more

Pho, Maki rolls and Sushi come to Bonham. One of the two best restaurants in Bonham. Bamboo House has a mixture of Vietnamese, Japanese and American style Chinese, all fresh and good. Service is great, food is great can't ask for more than that. My wife and I fell in love with the Pho, Pad Thai and the Spider Roll which is soft shell crab avocado and cucumber in a spicy soy sauce. Say hi to Nancy, you will see her busing tables, she is a little doll. read more

I just dropped by to have some sushi and another appetizer after the lunch rush. There were three other tables and it was approximately 2 pm. They had sever wait staff sitting at the sushi bar talking and laughing. I waited 15 minutes after being seated and my order was never taken. This place is usually slow but this was just sad. I didn't even get a drink. After 20 minutes and still no acknowledgement I walked out and no one seemed to care. Too bad. Food is usually ok but service stinks! Don't bother. Came back today for another try. Today was much different. The service was outstanding and friendly. Food arrived within 5 min of the order being taken. I am sure they had an off day the last time I was here and every place deserves a second chance. They did a great job today! Would recommend! read more

For rural North Texas, this is quite a good restaurant. Service was good, although our non-Asian waitress wasn't very familiar with a lot of the menu items. We had potstickers, pho, vermicelli, orange chicken, and lo mein. I was most impressed by the flavor of the pho broth and the texture of the meat in the pho. The décor is very nice in this old space on the old Bonham square. Reasonable prices. Definitely a needed addition to the Bonham restaurant scene. read more

We moved here a year and a half ago, and have missed good Asian food. We were excited to stumble across this place. We had wonton soup-delicious! My hubs likes the raw sushi so he ordered several types and said it was superb. I like California and Philadelphia rolls. They were the best I have had anywhere. The only downside to this place was when we had a craving for it last Tuesday, drove there, only to discover that they are closed Tuesdays. It is a little pricey for Bonham, but well worth every penny. read more

After being told the food was amazingly good We decided to go have a family dinner there and it was every bit as good as what I have heard. The sesame chicken was crunchy, not soggy like most places and the sushi rolls were really good. This place will be here for a long time. read more

Great little find. I usually get the Pad Thai. The noodles taste like they were made that morning it is so good. The house salad tastes like they pulled it from a garden outside and it's large! I don't eat sushi, but my boyfriend does. He loved it and he is very picky about his sushi. Really lovely place! read more

WOW! What a surprise to eat at a Chinese restaurant that goes above and beyond all expectations. When we walked in, we really expected for the restaurant to be a little hole in the wall. Shame on us for judging a book by its cover! When we walked in, the smells of all the different kinds of dinner dishes and fresh sushis and soups, noodles, and vegetables that were being prepared made us want to sit down and order everything on the menu. Our server, Luke, was an excellent waiter whom you could tell had years of experience and knew what customers wanted. We ordered edemame, and it came to the table nice and hot and very salty. We definitely pigged out on that. My husband ordered orange chicken and he could not stop talking about it on the drive home. It was freshly prepared and each piece was a nice large, tender chunk. The fried rice that came with it was exceptional. I ordered the fried rice with tofu, And it wasn't just tasty, it was done to perfection. We shared a pot of jasmine tea and it came out with two regular size tea cups instead of those little bitty cups that you can hardly get one sip out of it, then you have to refill and refill and refill. I don't normally feel the need to discuss a bathroom and I restaurant, but I couldn't believe that, first, when I walked back to the restroom area there were some of the most beautiful pieces of art hanging on the walls. Now getting down to the nitty-gritty part about the bathrooms: It was so clean and smelled so nice, I would have sworn to you I was not in a restroom, but I was. My husband and I both highly recommend the Bamboo for lunch or dinner or maybe even both on the same day. read more

The sushi is fantastic, super fresh. I recommend the London Roll. My sons always get a specially made roll which is a mix between the Cajun and Cowboy, the staff is always willing to make it. Another favorite dish with a ton of flavor is the Combination Pad Thai. So good. Gotta try it!! I think we have tried the whole menu and it is all good. So nice, I went there twice. Staying in rural Texas for Christmas had a lot of downsides, where I'm from you usually get about four options for sushi within a two-mile radius. However, where I was staying, my only options were either a Steakhouse in Paris, or the Bamboo House in Bonham. I wanted to experience both places, but ended up walking out of the steakhouse in favor of driving almost an hour to return to the Bamboo House for my second time. Their selection is vast ranging from Japanese, Chinese, and Vietnamese. There are plenty of options for people who don't like or want fish, and I believe they have vegetarian options too. Their Sushi selection is creative and delicious and as varied as any inner city sushi house. The restaurant itself is a beautiful place with lots of natural lighting, and an open floor plan, making the dining experience really relaxing. The staff are very friendly and always around when you need them. The best part for me was seeing the inner workings of the business. On both of my visits, a woman who seemed to be the manager or owner was walking about, subtly making sure that everyone was having a good time and enjoying their food. The second time there, I noticed a woman at the sushi bar taking pictures of dishes, presumably for their website or menu, which is already chocked full of photographs. It's awesome seeing people passionate about improving their business and working toward making it the best it can be. read more

Best place in Bonham. We eat here more than a few times each month. I almost always get either the orange chicken or the kung pao chicken. The pad thai is good as well. I'm not a sushi person, but the wife says it is excellent. Only one minor gripe is it would be nice to have a few more choices on the dinner entrees - I miss my favorite pad kee mao and they don't offer it here. :( read more

The best Vietnamese food I've eaten since Vung Tau Grand Hotel 1970. The drinking water does not taste good at all though.
