First time in this place. I must have passed this restaurant so many times but did not realize how much I have neglected this place. Dumpling the Noodle is so good! Food is so tasty! Big servings, very flavorful! Other dumpling places should check this place out. The only thing we do not enjoy is our drink, lychee and passion fruit juice. It just tastes like sugared juice straight from the can. By the way, they will be part of the Seattle Restaurant week so it's a good chance to try them out. We enjoyed every dish we ordered: Peking duck, xiao long bao, beef roll, and green beans. Service is great. Richard was very good, and recommended dishes we should order It's a pretty place. Went for the Seattle restaurant week menu. The food is just okay, i think at least in regards to the dumplings the dough are thicker than the usual. I did like their chicken but that's not really the main food here. They have some other flavors dumplings though like bulgogi. The service is pretty good though at least. The location only has street parking so take that into account. read more

First time here. We were a group of 4. We made reservations for Tuesday night at 4:30 pm, though not a lot of people dining. We had the XLB, really good with a good soup to dough ratio. The Shen Zhen Bao was good, as well, very tasty. We had the 1/2 duck. It had a great flavor, meat moist and not a lot of bones. The skin was crispy enough for the price it charges. Love the thin crepes. The Shanghai Green Beans were perfect. The Janjan Beef Roll was good, meat tender. The taste is not as rich as Peaceful Restaurant, but like that it's not too salty. The indoor space is not too big, but the "booths" have a private feel to it. No private parking, but was not a problem t park on the street. Service is professional and attentive. First of all, 5 stars off the bat for our amazing, hilarious, and attentive waiter! He really made the experience amazing. We have been on a tour of noodles around the Seattle area and stumbled across this spot. Their feature dish is the lamen noodle, which is perfectly imperfect in texture and chewiness, so you know it's truly hand pulled. There are also some go tos that I get at every noodle house- sweet sour cucumber, fried green beans, xiao long bao, and green onion pancake- and all of them were fantastic. My parents and I came here on a Saturday afternoon and the inside had a good amount of customers. Although we got lucky with parking, I can see how the parking can be a little tricky- I would try the plaza directly behind the restaurant. We ordered the following: - Pork Onion Buns - Chili Beef Lamen - Chili Tofu Lamen - Chili Beef RN - Salt and Pepper Squid The buns were decent with a hot and savory pork filing. As for the Lamen's, the seasoning/flavor profile is all the same (the only difference is the topping and noodles). I really enjoyed the thick noodles- they were chewy and bouncy! My dad also enjoyed his noodles that were thinner than the ones I got. The beef was also very tender and flavorful which I enjoyed. As for the salt and pepper squid, it was hot and crispy with a good amount of the salt/pepper seasoning. The only complaint I have is that the batter for the salt and pepper was a little too thick for my liking. Overall, the food was yummy, the service was good, and the portions were also big. Not to mention, they had a pretty solid Happy Hour menu as well as vegetarian options. I was excited to try Dumpling the Noodle, but the flavors fell short to my expectations. We ordered a dry and soup noodle dish, green beans, and a meat pancake wrap. Since we spent enough, they added a free side of crab rangoons. Funnily enough, I liked the rangoons the best! We ordered mostly meat dishes, but the meat was pretty dry and one-dimensional in flavor. The noodles had a nice bite to them, but the broth was a bit bland and thin, and I wish it had more body to coat the mouth with flavor. Overall, I think this restaurant has potential, but I probably won't be back considering the many other great Chinese places on the Eastside. read more

Came here for the first time during Seattle Restaurant Week with a reservation for two. We ordered the "All Time Favorite" ($65, serves 2-3) plus an extra side of steamed rice. Honestly, it's a solid deal for the variety and amount of food, a great intro to their menu if it's your first visit. My favorites: - pork onion buns: perfectly balanced bun-to-filling ratio, with a sweet onion flavor and crisp seared bottoms. So good! - garlic string beans (we swapped the sichuan dry-fried version for these and I highly recommend it): honestly, I might like them even better than DTF's - pork shrimp siu mai: juicy, snappy, and steamed perfectly The only miss for me was the pork and shrimp wontons in chili sauce, the "sauce" was actually straight chili oil, and it ended up feeling too oily for my taste. "All Time Favorite" was a solid choice with good portions, great variety, and perfect for getting a feel for what they do best. read more

My husband and I stopped here for dinner on a whim, and we were so pleasantly surprised! The food was excellent. Our favorites were seasoning fried chicken, pork shrimp siumai and pork shrimp wonton. The wontons had so much filling! They reminded me of the wonton we used to get in San Francisco in the 70s! Service was great too. The only downside was the dècor was really nice, but there were lots of cleaning bottles and napkins and such strewn about that it downgraded the ambience. We will be back again soon! read more

Finally got to try this place! Honestly didn't expect it to be as pricey as it is but if you do family style then it works out well. I would recommend ordering a couple dishes to share. Everything was super tasty but pretty oily so eating an entire bowl of wontons on my own would not make my tummy happy. My favorite was the lamen noodles - I love the thick wide noodle and the sauce was delicious. The servers came by a few times to check on us but knew when we were in deep conversation and didn't want to be disturbed. TL;DR: generous protein proportions. Black Sesame Tiramisu is good but on the pricey side. Parking: street side or very small shared lot. Atmosphere: feels like a dumpling house like Dough Zone. Semi loud music playing but conversation across the table is still audible. Service: wait to be seated, you will be watered, you will be given a picture menu and a print out menu to mark you order on, food brought to you, boxes for leftovers available upon request, check brought to you. Menu: prepare to eat with your eyes because there is a photo for pretty much everything on the menu! There are no descriptions, just item names. Salt and Pepper Squid: Large snappy cuts of squid fried and then tossed in salt and pepper with onions and bell pepper. The squid is a tiny bit on the thick side for me. I personally love Salt and Pepper Squid (the absolute best is from Thien Hong in Portland Oregon -- this dish even made the news there at one point) and the squid here was pretty good, slightly on the salty side but good. Must be eaten with a neutral palate cleanser like noodles or rice or the salt will be a little overwhelming. Braised Beef Rice Noodle Soup: I love the generous proportion of beef! There was enough beef to last every bite of the meal. The noodles were a wonderful al dente texture and the bean sprouts added a nice subtle crunch. The braised beef is in small chunks and soft but slightly chewy -- great in my opinion! Black Sesame Tiramisu: Lightly sweetened and not too overpowering. It comes in a small plastic container with the cake on the bottom and a fluffy sesame cream on top. The cake was a tad on the dry side (not dipped like typical tiramisu). Overall a nice light dessert to end a meal with. I was a bit disappointed on the size though for the price. It was a rather small slice for my glutinous sweet tooth, haha. Kid Friendliness: If you have a stroller and they aren't too busy, they will accommodate you and seat you in a spot where you can park the stroller next to the table. read more

We've walked outside and couldn't imagine how good they were. We finally visited them and have to say we had a very good time. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Food was kind of home made. We had the duck. Found it wasn't that much for us and kids, but we had plenty between spicy pork dumplings (sauce is so nicely spicy without being overwhelming), and yhe beef soup. I always find this soup comforting when sick or rainy days. Noodles are great for kiddos! Tasty :) Atmosphere has always being nice, and peaceful. Not too quiet or noisy. I would recommend them if you have kids. Even picky eaters :) Parking could get challenging specialy on weekends, but we managed 6o find a spot. Just be patient for 5 minutes and traffic :S The only thing I would recommend is placing a bin next to the restroom door. Don't have any at that time at least :( read more

Good but not sure if I would go back. Everything tasted pretty good but nothing mind blowing and definitely be prepared to pay eastside prices in a very casual environment. We got the half Peking duck, beef chili lamen, salt and pepper squid, and the kale sesame salad. The Beef Lamen was my favorite the hand pulled noodles were the star, but the sauce can just use a bit more flavor. The Peking duck was just okay. The pieces we got were tiny and chopped up felt like we got the leftover pieces vs the thinly sliced ones you would expect. read more

This was our first outing to this noodle/dumpling restaurant in Kirkland. Our expert (granddaughter) was my guide. We enjoyed all of the food we ordered and she was happy as well - she helped influence my rating. EDWARD our waiter deserves 5 stars himself as he was energetic, helpful and entertaining - all at the same time. We will definitely be back for an encore when in Kirkland. The restaurant was well-lit and table arrangements maximized space. Street parking on a Friday was not too difficult but things Kirkland Main Street so it may vary. Service was prompt and attentive despite being busy. Food came out relatively quickly. We had heard about the Peking Duck so that was the main order. Not quite impressed for the price. Presentation was nice and taste was good but expensive for the volume. We also ordered sweet and sour pork. The dish that we received was actually stewed pork which tasted great with tender meat. But it wasn't sweet and sour pork. We asked the waitress and she confirmed that was the sweet and sour pork. Interesting interpretation. The kale salad dish was tasty and creamy. The spicy pork dumpling was also delicious. We would want to try the noodles here the next time. read more

This might be the most underrated Chinese restaurant in the Kirkland area. Their dishes are amazing, high quality ingredients and affordable prices. My favorite dish is the duck chili lamen noodle, the duck was surprisingly so delicious and tender, noodle was soft and chewy, the sauce is good amount of spice. I highly recommend this dish. The scallion green onion pancake was pretty good, crispy, chewy, but it needed a side sauce. I had lunch here last Sunday. It's great that there are parking spots in the area. We ordered chilli wonton, pork and chive dumplings, corn dumplings, the original port buns and braised beef noodle soup. The wonton was definitely my favorite. I may have high expectations on the pork bun, there was no soup or sauce in the bun so that was a bit disappointing for me. I have came here at least a couple times before and I usually come during happy hour because they have amazing deals for happy hours like I love their wonton noodle soup. It is really delicious and the wonton soup as well it's so good. They provide chili oil and soy sauce with it as well too. I know that they make their own handmade noodles and the dumplings are all homemade as well too. I get pretty good. We ordered: Shiitake Vegan Buns, Bok Choy Mushriom Dumpling, Half a Peking Duck, Signature Pork Onion Buns, Garlic String Beans, and Chicken Corn Dumplings I think for my friend and I, we liked the Peking Duck the best. The wrappers were very thin and the skin was crispy. Also the shitake mushroom buns were good. But the other ones were bitter. The pork ones were a bit slimy on the inside and off-putting, the chicken corn dumplings were odd tasting and the green beans were greasy. The decor was nice. For a Friday lunch, when we arrived around noon, it was not busy at all. Parking can be found on the street or in the parking lot. Maybe I'll give it another try. Went for lunch on a Sunday and got seated right away. The restaurant is small and can get the attention of the servers pretty fast. Got half the Peking Duck and was a good size for three with all the extra food we ordered. I love the Honey Sunflower Seed Shrimp and BBQ Pork Fried Rice. The dumplings were alright to me.
