We have been going to Bamboo Leaf for years now and they have never failed to delivery delicious, authentic Thai food in a clean and comfortable setting. Their food is the real deal especially when you request it Thai hot and spicy. Last night was no exception. Our meals of pad woon sen with shrimp also chicken stir fry with mixed vegetables along with their tasty steamed shrimp dumplings all of which were simply delicious. If you have not been here yet, give them a try !

Sweet and Sour Classic Stir Fry with chicken

i've heard of this place and it's been on my list for a while. Finally had the time to go. I got the classic chicken stirfry with the sweet-and-sour option. It was so good. Probably some of the best I've had. I would definitely be back.

Bamboo Leaf is a somewhat small Thai restaurant in Bradley Beach. Therefore, expect to sit pretty closely to other tables near you. We were lucky to have a table near the window. The thing I loved about Bamboo Leaf is that it's BYOB. I made sure to bring a bottle of wine to enjoy with dinner. I ended up ordering one of my favorite Thai dishes...Drunken Noodles. It didn't take long for us to receive our food after ordering, which was a plus. The food was nice and hot when it arrived as well. Another plus. I absolutely loved my food. I practically cleaned the plate. This was definitely a popular spot on a Friday night, so expect a bit of a wait before being seated at a table. We didn't have to wait too long though and the food is definitely worth the wait. I'll definitely return.

The wait wasn't too long for a Friday night. Was recommended this place by two other a Yelpers and it didn't disappoint. The portions were huge but it was soooo good that I finished it all instead of taking half home. The vegetables in my Pad See Ew still had bite and I loved that! There was enough sauce that the noodles didn't soak it all up after a few minutes. It was just REALLY good! We got a corner seat by the window so we could still hear each other but it was still really loud with all the other patrons. But hey, it was a Friday night so what else would one expect. In any case, I'd go back in a heartbeat. And order the same thing over and over and over again! It was THAT good!

Food is delicious. Service was good. You must try for yourself. it was delicious that they put the rice separate so can put more rice in or less rice to your liking

IF YOURE READING THIS JUST GO!!! This is the best Thai food you'll ever have! Everything on the menu is delicious and fresh. We had the Tom yum and Tom Kah soup to start and then had Ginger stir Fry and Pad see Ew! I've also had the chicken satay, pad Thai, chicken curry dumplings, and fried rice: you can't go wrong with anything on the menu! Service is great and BYOB! My fav restaurant in Monmouth county.

Great news! Bamboo Leaf is now open for indoor dining and very soon for outdoor dining (just waiting for chairs that have been ordered). We have picked up take out for the past few years. Last eve, we ate here early 530 to 630 pm. The ambiance has changed a bit, still charming. Jean was our very attentive waitress. Don't forget to BYOB! Consider that you will be saving a lot of money: that $10. bottle of wine might cost you $30. or more in a restaurant that serves alcohol - add tax and tip, it is $40. (you just LOST $30). The food is as delicious as ever. Also, the portions are large and prices are reasonable. We started with Vegetable Spring Rolls, then for entrees had Pad See Ew with shrimp and Basil Fried Rice with seafood. Then, we got a takeout for a friend of Pad See Ew with pork. Everyone was very pleased with their meals.

Why is no one answering the phone?

Sometimes they just don't. Sometimes I keep calling and they eventually answer, but the other night I tried ordering from them and called 5 or 6 times and no answer, finally I just gave up and got dinner somewhere else.

I ordered my standard pad Thai with shrimp and friend got the garlic beef with veggies and brown rice. Both were delicious, although not spicy... we had requested a 2 and a 3 out of four. Would rather have it less spicy than overheated, but definitely added more chilis ourselves. Reasonably priced especially for the portions! Would definitely recommend and return!

Normally, I'm not a big fan of steamed dumplings, so I was a little disappointed at first. However, the flavor was excellent and definitely exceeded my expectations, so I can't complain too much about the mix-up. The real star of the meal was the Yellow Curry Crispy Duck. Absolutely amazing! The duck was cooked perfectly, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the curry had incredible flavor. I ordered it with spice level 1, which was just right for me and allowed all of the flavors to shine through. My only real complaint is the portioning of the rice. While the half crispy duck portion was quite generous, the amount of rice provided didn't seem to match the amount of meat. For the price I paid, I feel like the rice portion should automatically be adjusted to complement the entrée. Having to request extra rice just doesn't make much sense when there's plenty of duck left over. I'm usually not picky about things like this, but considering the cost of the meal, I expected a little better balance. Other than that, the staff was friendly and welcoming. The restaurant itself is a small hole-in-the-wall spot with a cozy, authentic feel. It's the kind of place that locals seem to know and enjoy. I actually discovered it while heading to a Mexican restaurant with some coworkers and decided to give it a try because I'm a big fan of Thai food. Overall, I'm glad I did. The food quality was excellent, the flavors felt authentic, and the crispy duck alone is worth coming back for. Despite a couple of minor issues, I would definitely recommend giving this place a try. If you enjoy authentic Thai cuisine, you'll likely leave satisfied. Authentic taste and quality ingredients--everyone should give it a try!

Inside, the decor is beautiful and polished with Vietnamese straw hats and taxi bikes. There's plenty of tables and only few customers. We were quickly greeted by two staff by the door and got seated with menus. I noticed the karaoke stand and stage, but there was no one singing at the time so they must have karaoke on certain occasions or time. We looked at the menu and it looked pretty impressive. When we were ready to order, no staff are around. Five minutes later, our waitress showed up and took our orders. For appetizers, we had the mini crepes and my entree, vermicelli special which included grilled pork and shrimps and a spring roll. The crepes were a bit undercooked and it's not as crispy as it should be. I was also a bit disappointed with my entree. The vermicelli noodles were overcooked so the noodles were broken into smaller strands. The fish sauce was pretty bland. I really wanted to like this place but sadly it was a letdown. I would rate this really 2.5 stars but our waitress was nice so feeling generous here with 3 stars. I'm not sure if we will ever come back. My husband was also disappointed with his entree. We have our fair share of Vietnamese food so we know good authentic cooks when we try a dish. I guess it was also a tale tell sign when the restaurant didn't have much customers on Valentine's Day.
