This restaurant is a good solid Asian restaurant! I love Cambodian food and it can be hard to find in the area. We went for lunch on a Tuesday and they were actually pretty busy. There was one waiter we saw so service was a tad slow. The server was still very nice and attentive. The restaurant had some Vietnamese songs playing and not too loud. Also had some cute traditional decor. The table, dishes, and silverware were clean. I noticed the floor needed some sweeping. Overall I would say the restaurant is pretty clean. We will be back when I am craving some Cambodian dishes. Chicken chow fun with gravy: 5/5. Very hard to find the Cambodian chow fun with gravy that I love. It had a good balanced flavor. Cambodian style chow fun can be on the sweet side sometimes. They use fresh noodles. It comes with various veggies including bok choy, baby corn, and carrots. I think some people would enjoy that. I prefer just regular broccoli or Chinese broccoli in my chow fun. I added an egg and it was fried perfectly. Overall very good and one of the better ones I've had Phnom Penh dry noodles: 5/5. Also very good with a nice flavor. The noodles were on the firm side, which is better than overcooked. I just added a little broth that the dish comes with and the noodles were perfect. It did not need any additional seasoning for me. The broth that came with the noodles was very good as well. Tastes savory and clean, a nice addition to the dry noodles Beef sticks: 3/5. The beef sticks were just okay. It lacked flavor and I just tasted salt. Needs more flavor and sugar to balance it. I grew up eating a lot of beef sticks, so I'm pretty picky with it. We love this place!! This is one of our favorite Sunday lunch spots and it's usually pretty crowded though the line is not that long. The hu tieu kho, the goi and the taro salad is our favorites. But Damn the best thing for me was the coconut jelly dessert inside the coconut. I couldn't get enough. The fried chicken has a nice white pepper tapioca starch with superb crunchiness will definitely be getting that again. The lotus root salad extremely refreshing and excellent pallent cleaser switching between dishes. The only dish I think could have been better was our noodle dish it was lacking wok hey. This spot is definitely a hole-in-the-wall restaurant, but they make some truly delicious dishes. My favorites are the Hủ Tiếu Nam Vang and the mango salad--both are packed with flavor and always hit the spot. Came in with a couple friends on a tuesday afternoon and we immediately got seated. The service was very helpful and easy, and within 5 minutes we got our veggies and water, shortly after that our food was already out. The place wasn't busy when we got there, but shortly after we ordered, a lot of people came in and the ambiance was lively (rightfully so). We tried the dried noodles (hủ tiếu). The noodles come with shrimp, squid, ground pork, pork liver and intestine, amongst other toppings, and a side of broth with more meat and what seems to be like a fish cake. The veggies that paired with the dried noodles was a mix of celery and steamed beansprouts. I tried the broth first, and the hot broth healed my throat despite not even being sick. The waiter was kind and welcoming, and we were pleasantly surprised that our furbaby was allowed inside when we dined later in the afternoon. The restaurant looked small from the outside but was actually very clean and spacious inside. Parking wasn't the easiest, but since we came right before closing on a Tuesday, we were lucky to find a spot. I ordered the soup version of Hu Tieu (#20) while my boyfriend went with the dry version (#21). I first tried Hu Tieu during our trip to Vietnam last fall and absolutely loved it. I can't say for sure if the flavor here matched what I had in Vietnam--it didn't taste quite the same--but it was still very enjoyable. The meat portion was generous, and between the two, I preferred the dry version for its flavor. The waiter was also friendly and talkative. He shared that the restaurant is now under new management, which came up when my boyfriend asked about the previous owner. My boyfriend mentioned he thought the food tasted better before, but since this was my first time, I had nothing to compare it to. Overall, it was a great experience! read more

Was looking for a new southeast Asian spot to try and Bamboo Noodle got the call one Saturday afternoon. Their food is amazing and perfectly portioned. It is just the ideal combination of savory with a touch of sweet to balance out any overpowering heat or saltiness. But the food bursts with flavor, char, and texture. On this afternoon I sampled the Lort Cha and it is sort of like a pad kee mao in a way, but also so different in its own way. I loved the accompanied sauce this has to season to your liking. My server was very attentive and kept my water and tea filled. She stopped by several times to make small talk about what brought me in and how did I find them, etc. I really enjoyed the interaction as it made me feel right at home. This spot is easy to find and the color helps! The inside is very spacious and clean, with tvs on to watch your local favorites, paired with the latest Asian dramas -- my favorite combination. I can't wait to come back and try some of the satays and noodle plates. Some of my table mates scattered around seemed to be going in on those so will definitely be back for some new adventures soon. read more

Mom's been begging me to take her here after their grand opening. She was there on the grand opening day, but the the food took over an hour to come out and that just made everything tasted a bit disappointed. We came on a Saturday for lunch and it was surprisingly not as busy as we thought and got a seat right away. The ambiance is like any of your typical asian restaurants, basic. At least they were playing some Christmas music and a asian cooking channel. What's better to eat food and watch a cooking show? I ordered the Phnom Penh Noodle with pork heart, calamari, and shrimp (they gave one each on the last two). I had it with clear noodle as well, which made everything better....for me. My mom ordered Pak Low noodle soup. She's been craving for it, in like, forever. They only come in one size, so she had to split it. Fortunately, mine have options - small or large. The flavor on mine was pretty good, the broth was clean and simple. Nice broth just to drink on a cold afternoon. I do wish the pork heart were sliced a bit thicker and maybe an additional calamari and shrimp. Overall I was satisfied with it and don't even have to talk about my mom. She was raving about it as she was slurping a spoonful of noodles and soup. Although, what I found surprising was that they charged hot tea $1pp. Not a lot of money, but we're just used to those as being complimentary. If we knew, we wouldn't have ordered it. My mom didn't have any. Just a nice warm-your-hands-while-you-wait for food. I'm sure mom will come back whenever some drives her there. =) read more

High review is for how delicious the food is, but minus 1 star because service is average. I dined here by recommendation of my sister and mother and ever since then, I've been hooked on their Hu Tieu Nam Vang Kho (Hu Tieu Dry Rice Noodle). I always arrive hungry and I will end up devouring the entire bowl serving. I usually have difficulty finishing my food [quickly] but every time I receive my order, my appetite is ravenous and I can't help but dig in! I also enjoy their egg rolls (4 rolls for about $6), which pairs well with their sweet chili sauce (different from the usual fish sauce that would be served, but still delicious!). The porridge is yummy as well. I've only ordered the blood and intestines porridge, but it tastes better with the Chinese donuts (separate order for about $3) soaked or dipped in the porridge. Sorry, no photos included of the egg rolls or porridge because we eat them all too fast! I never really expect fantastic service from a Vietnamese restaurant so in comparison to other Viet restaurants, the service here is actually pretty average. The tables aren't usually cleaned right away when it's busy and the servers rarely stop by, only to refill your water, and neither do they bring you your takeout order or paycheck if you dine in so you have to go to the cash register after you finish your meal. You won't be receiving any fake customer service so they may come off as direct or rude BUT the food is filling and reminds me of home (street food in Saigon, Vietnam). If not for the service, I would recommend this restaurant for food. read more
