    Bbq pork rice plate
    Xia Wen G.

First time at Com Tam Thjen Huong. Heard from a friend that this is his favorite rice plate place so I had to give it a try. I usually go to Bon Mua next door. I will say the rice plates here are a little more on the pricey side but very yummy! I got the grilled pork rice plates and the way they cook their grilled pork was so unique! It looks like they skewer the pork and grill it that way. The meat was so juicy and flavorful. Perfect mix of lean and fatty pieces. I will come back just for the meat! I want to try their pho too.

First time here. My sister was craving rice plate. We came in and we were seated right away. There were two sections, on one side there were a few people and our side it was pretty much only our group. They got our order right away. It wasn't long and we started getting our orders. My niece and other sister got their pho and both said their pho were tasty and good. I got the shredded pork, egg, and grilled pork chop rice plate. My brother-in-law got the shrimp cake and grilled chicken rice plate and my sister the shrimp cake and grilled pork rice plate. Her order was the last to arrive. Almost forgot about her. We all enjoyed our rice plates. Their pork chop is thin making the meat tender. The grilled pork on my sister's place looks good and interesting. It looks like they skewered the pork while grilling it and she said it was tender and has some fat making it tasty. All in all a good meal for all. By the time we left our side of the restaurant was full. I will come back for other items to try.

    Vietnamese-style braised/roasted chicken with rice

I have to say, the food here has gotten absolutely terrible while the prices have become ridiculously expensive for what you get. I used to be a regular customer two years ago, but coming back recently has been nothing but disappointment. Today was the final straw. I ordered a chicken roti rice dish, and they served me BURNT chicken like super dry, hard, and practically like chewing on rocks. The fried egg was awful too. And for this disaster, I had to pay over $20 still!! This is not just bad food, it's a complete lack of respect for customers. Charging premium prices while serving low-quality, carelessly made food is unacceptable. One star is honestly being way too generous for them. Never coming back!!!

The food here is delicious, but it's on the expensive side for Vietnamese food. They're known for their rice plate, but my personal favorite is their pho. The broth is perfect, you don't have to add anything else to it but I like to add a little bit of lime. The food comes out very fast. Our whole dining experience from ordering to finishing was about 30 minutes. Lots of seatings, but there is a bit of a wait during busy times such as Sunday mornings.

What a lovely restaurant with great decor and modern style. Relaxing vibes all around. My friend brought me here and I have to say this did not disappoint! I don't get to eat Vietnamese food very often these days but this definitely hit the spot!! Highly recommend if you're in the area and looking for some comforting Vietnamese food. Thoroughly enjoyed the pho and the bbq pork and shrimp vermicelli. Check them out!

Came in for dinner and was greeted and sat immediately! One of my favorite com tam restaurants! I love how they have the option for proteins with different sides. Today, I wanted the pork, egg cake, shrimp cake, and sugar cane shrimp. Sometimes if I'm feeling like eating lighter, I'll just get the protein with shrimp cake or egg cake. The inside is very spacious and I love how they have the booths and another section of the restaurant behind the shattered glass divider. This is my go-to com tam restaurant!

I pass my this place quite often, but it was never on my radar due to the low ratings. We came here because my friend wanted to try their broken rice plates. I ordered #37- BBQ shrimp and fried shrimp cake. When it came out, I was rather disappointed with it. There were only three shrimps. It was not worth the price. My friends who ordered the beef or chicken had more protein on their plates. The special rice combo would've been the better choice.

I wanted some broken rice but when we got there, we couldn't decide what we wanted so we basically ordered a bunch of different dishes and shared. We ordered pho dac biet (#5), Bi, Cha, Chao Tom (#44), Hainan chicken and Rice (#75), and tom thit nuong (#82)... all was so good. Their portions are huge, 5 girls, and we couldn't finish all the food. I think my favorite was the pho, they have fresh thick noodles. Place is good for large families or groups. Cost is reasonable (average). Service was average for an Asian restaurant.

Delicious cơm tấm(broken rice)! I got #51 on the menu and I really like that they cut the meat up for you. There are a lot of tables to eat at. This is a great spot to enjoy cơm tấm and have a conversation with friends. The prices are a bit higher than I'm used to. The service is standard. This place is always busy on the weekend so definitely be ready to flag down the waiters when you need service.

Signature dish, top is with grilled chicken , bottom with short rib combo
    Cynthia V.

Their signature dishes. My date ordered the grilled chicken combo, and I ordered the short ribs combo. Both is ok.. nothing really stands out from other Com Tom restaurants..and honestly. I feel like it's a bit overpriced for this dish, and service was very average. They didn't come refill our water or bring us more napkins. I ate about half the plate of food, and was going to take the rest home, but as I was packing it in the box, there was a clear 1/2 inch plastic in my food. Looks like could've been from a large straw. I told the lady about it, she picked it up and juz said sorry and took it away. I was too shock and forgot to take a picture of it.

Hai nam chicken thigh meat rice. Sorry to say....Not good.
    Donna T.

First time here. Thought we tried somewhere new. Order Hainam chicken rice , chicken was dried and not much meat. Rice flavor was ok but also very dry. We also order pho with everything. It was good lots of meat. So l guess don't order the chicken rice. Service was good and inside looks nice.

    David M.

Pho was nothing special. Broken rice dish was average. Service was encumbered by a language barrier. No knock on the stars for this. I appreciate the patience and earnestness of those who helped us. The complete kindness from the lady at the cash register was so cool. The ambiance was Vietnamese fresh. Mostly clean, cluttered and well worn. Prices were high compared to commensurate establishments. I'd repeat if there weren't so many wonderful options in the area

The shelving behind the kiosk has plants, bottles of Veuve and wine strategically placed. There's some nice Vietnam themed artwork throughout. A vibrant, colorful mural is painted on the wall near the entrance and more wall art towards the back. I was impressed to see they even serve Veuve here. That makes for a fun brunch! Our party of five were road tripping home from the weekend and passing through. We always stop at Quan Nem Ninh Hoa for lunch and get the House Special 2 DIY spring rolls with the grilled pork complete with veggies, their special sauce and those crispy sticks. I was also hungry for some Bun Cha Ca (fish soup) which has mackerel, fish cake, tomatoes, pineapple and cabbage. I enjoyed mine with egg noodles. So delicious- even on a hot day! I also like their banh xeo here, very crispy and the right amount of veggies. PRO-TIP YOU NEED TO TRY: Don't sleep on their appetizer menu! Stop by TK Noodles down the street first, grab some chicharrones to-go, and sprinkle them right on top of the Banh Beo here. Total game changer! Try something else besides pho, I love pho but Vietnamese cuisine has many distinct soup dishes when you factor in regional variations, unique broths, and different noodle types. If you look past phở, Vietnamese soups generally fall into a few massive, distinct categories based on how the broth is built and what kind of noodle is used.
