I've been going to Bamboo for years and their vegetable fried rice is still my favorite compared to other restaurants. I've never had issues with them and service is always great. My first time at bamboo will certainly not be my last! I joined some friends who frequent the restaurant and can see why. When you have that craving for some good old fashioned American Chinese food, this certainly scratches the itch. The lemon chicken was great from the thickness and flavor of the sauce to the crispiness of the chicken. The staff were super personable and felt like chatting with friends. The place itself is a little odd, not much in the way of decor which isn't awful but kind of feels like you're just eating in some random hallway next to a kitchen. Lastly, I can't put my finger on what sriracha they are using, definitely not Huy Fong but it was absolutely delicious! read more

I have been a customer since they opened their original location. But recently when I dine, the service is terrible. It seems like they are always short staff or the staff are upset at the customers. The environment here is great. I like it more than the last location. I will say that it was a bit hot the last time we went and it almost made it hard to eat but the ac might just be struggling from the high temps. The food was great and freshly cooked. I had ordered right through yelp for delivery from this place, but it had confirmed my order as takeout. Upon calling yelp(grubhub who was taking care of the delivery aspect), they told me that they couldn't change it to delivery nor could they cancel my order as it was in progress already. Being from out of town and with no car I called an uber to take me across town to pick up my food. It was pretty late in the day so I asked to just eat there. I got a garlic stir fry and a side order of fried rice. I absolutely loved the vegetables in the stir fry and loved the quality of the fried rice. We ordered from Bamboo for a co-worker's goodbye celebration. The food was amazing! The portions were plentiful and very tasty. I highly recommend the following: Crab Rangoon, Lettuce Wraps, Orange Chicken, General Tso's Chicken, Garlic Beef, and my personal favorite, the Pad Thai Chicken. The fried rice was a bit dry and the white rice lacked flavor. All of the items came well-packaged and additional packets of soy sauce and duck sauce were included as well. If ordering take-out, I recommend using your own cutlery. The plastic ones included are rather lightweight and a bit small. I know this may not matter to some, but I prefer plastic cutlery that is a bit heavier for comfort. Overall, I am a satisfied customer and look forward to going back. read more

I got the General Tso Chicken with fried rice, egg roll, and sweet and sour soup. The chicken was so delicious! My friend got the Mushroom Beef with Lo Mein noodles, crab Rangoon's, and egg drop soup. We both enjoyed our meals! They have both outdoor and indoor seating, we sat outside. They also had different bubble teas, cocktails, etc. that we didn't try, but seemed popular with other guests. The worker who took our order was so friendly and addressed us by our names. Then, when it was late being delivered we called the restaurant directly to see what the issue was- they put us on hold and then after we waited for a while it was sent to voicemail. We tried to resolve the issue through grubhub, but the restaurant wouldn't answer their calls either. Ultimately we got a refund through the delivery service- but the restaurant did nothing to resolve the issue other than send us to voicemail and ignore our calls. read more

I decided to try the 4 piece BBQ ribs and it wasn't as good as I thought it would've been. It was potentially a little overdone so the meat was a bit tough. First off, let me say that this place has a very nice dining area. Indoor area was closed, so we ate outside. Now, customer service was accurate and fast, but the cashier talked to us like we were an inconvenience rather than a customer. She seemed uninterested about us. I did see a lot of people picking up for Door Dash, etc. so I assume this place has many customers that enjoy their food. Unfortunately it was my first time trying this place and it didn't meet my expectations. It looked really good from pictures on other reviews, so I decided to give it a try. Ordered their chicken lo mein. It came with overcooked noodles and it seems like they skimped out on the amount of chicken they put into it. Got more vegetables than chicken. Good neighborhood restaurant that has a pet friendly, outdoor seating area. We had chicken lettuce wraps which were not bad but were served with very small romaine leafs that created more of a lettuce spoon than wrap. The veggie spring rolls were deep fried. Bamboo is my new favorite chicken wings place in the downtown area!!! I visited the restaurant on a Saturday evening and put a to-go order because I was super tired and just wanted to get home. I thought Bamboo only served "american-chinese" food, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that they also had a wing menu. The girl who helped me was super nice and gave me a few recommendations. I had to go for the classic General Tso chicken, and couldn't pass on the wing menu so I also order Hot Wings and Lemongrass wings. The order came out super quick and was able to get home earlier than I thought. The General Tso Chicken tasted exactly the way is supposed to be. The Hot Wings were by far my favorite. They tasted like your regular buffalo wings, but just a little better. I was not a huge fan of the Lemongrass wings, I thought they were a little too sweet for my taste. Bamboo seems to be blowing its predecessor out of the water so far. We were wanting a quick dinner one night and decided to give them a try, since the location is convenient to us. The food was solid, prices are reasonable, service was friendly, and it is one of the few Asian restaurants nearby without having to deal with downtown. The soups can often be an afterthought, but the spicy egg drop soup was much better than your one- note soups. There was a depth of flavor and it packed a punch for sure. We didn't have to park very far away at all, even though they didn't have a dedicated parking lot. We both agreed that we will be back to try out some more of their menu items read more
