3.5 stars. We have always liked Bambu. We used to frequent the Pleasanton location a lot; but, their hours were extremely minimal and it was obvious they would not survive being open ~4 hours a day. Unfortunately they closed a few years ago so the closest Bambu to the tri valley is probably this location, believe it or not. The drinks are done very well. However, the interaction I had between the employees on two different occasions were very "robotic". I cannot think of a better term at the moment; but, it's very minimal and not friendly at all. I can understand being an introvert; but, I watch the exchange among other customers as I'm waiting for my drinks and yes; very dry and not friendly. My girls like the ambiance in the back of the restaurant where they remove their shoes or sandals and sit on the floor as they sip on their drinks. There is no tatami mat; but, it definitely reminds them of Japan. Since we like the drinks at Bambu; I know my girls will continue to ask to come here so I'll occasionally make the drive out here.

My work did an event and catered some desserts from here. I tried the bambu favorite, which has pandan jelly, red tapioca, grass jelly, and coconut milk. It was pretty good, although I thought it could have used a little more sweetness. I think there is sugar in the jellies, but the coconut milk may have been unsweetened. I liked the pandan and grass jelly, but the red tapioca was a little weird, it had crunchy pieces which I was not expecting. It was also interesting they add a snowcone-like dollop of ice on top of the dessert instead of ice cubes inside. Since most of the desserts are coconut milk based, many of them are vegan friendly. There were many other menu items I would be interested to try.

Strawberry yogurt was good the halo halo not so much. Halo halo was too sweet and too much filling. It need more ice and more coconut milk and ice cream.

I haven't been to a Bambu in several years, and finally got the opportunity to do so when I was in the area. The interior of this place was very cozy, with plenty indoor seating and cute decorations. I originally wanted the mango yogurt, but they were out of mango, so I got the strawberry yogurt instead. The drink was very tart and refreshing!

Thai milk tea slushie is great: Get 75% sweet, less milk. This is a great place to stop by after hitting the Sunnyvale Farmers Market. Always go for less milk, otherwise it's more like a watered down latte, without much flavor. 75% sweet is perfect level.

What the heck. Been to other Bambu locations and this is easily the worst one in terms of quality. I ordered the pandan waffle and received this pathetic green dough. Tasted pretty awful and the presentation was horrible. Had a few bites before tossing it. Waste of $6.50 and I'd appreciate a refund. Go to CA Bakehouse for your pandan waffle craving!

My coworkers and I decided to have a Friday order to sweeten the last couple of hours. Bambu has so many choices. I decided to try the Hazelnut milk tea with boba. It was pretty good. We had fun doing a photo shoot with our drinks. lol Hazelnut milk tea Mangonada Thai milk tea Strawberry yogurt Coconut combo

It has been a while since I came to this branch. I got the fruit addict. It was okay. My complaint is that my coconut milk was kinda clumpy? Not sure how to describe it. I have gotten bambu at plenty of other locations and have not experienced that. However, I needed a sweet treat and it fulfilled that.

Was craving Bambu so we decided to swing by here for the second time. I remember the first time we came we were disappointed with the quality and flavor of our che. But we decided to give this location another chance. I love the new interior they have going on, it's super cute! However the drinks definitely got worse- not only is the flavor lacking but the coconut milk curdled upon mixing my dessert?? This has never happened to us before and when eating this dessert there's like grainy fibrous coconut curdles in our drink which was not pleasant. Look at the photo of my drink after mixing, the consistency is so weird, even before mixing the coconut milk looked curdled already. The fillings of our Che was also over cooked and bland :( we were so disappointed.

My favorite avocado beverage dessert #5 on the menu. It comes with chunky avocado, coffee pearl, and .... If you love avocado, this one is a must try.

Came here off the whim to try a new dessert spot and my friend recommended it to me! There are so many dessert options but I wasn't really sure what to order and what was good. I shortly realized that #2 was one of the more popular ones and all my friends got this and enjoyed it. It came with red beans, mung beans, taro, boba, pandan jelly, rainbow jellies and coconut milk. Had so much texture and was pretty good. What I personally got was their Bambu Special #1, I thought this was their signature drink but it was very unflavorful and not the best. I personally couldn't finish the drink. Side note that doesn't affect the review was that there decor was so random, it was a little bit of decor from all cultures in there lol.

I came here at night, and here's my experience: I ordered the Bambu Special, which came with coconut water, basil seeds, longan, pandan jelly, and coconut meat. It was a refreshing drink, not too sweet and very fresh. One downside is that the longan was super sweet, which didn't quite match the light taste of the coconut water. When I arrived, the shop wasn't too crowded. It was clean and cozy, though the decoration looked a bit messy. Shout-out to the cashier who kindly helped me split my cup into two. I'll definitely come back to try other desserts and leave another review!

I've been to a number of these bamboo restaurants, but never one down here in Sunnyvale. I always get their Pandan Waffle and usually #4 or #7, up in The City- but apparently here the number system is slightly different. Lol we got our Boba drinks rather quickly, which was great since we were thirsty, but the Pandan waffles took some time to make. The Pandan waffles were made fresh and literally so hot. They were burning my fingertips!! My friend got the strawberry bubble waffle and to her surprise her strawberries were frozen solid! Lol we joked how mine was so hot it literally burnt my fingertips and then hers was so frozen. It nearly cracked her tooth! As we enjoyed the warm climate on this Saturday evening, it was rather warm inside, but outside it was windy and cold. Sadly, my friend spilled her Taro Lover drink, and as we were finishing up, and both the employees that worked there couldn't figure out what to do to help us clean up. The majority of the drink spilled on my friend's shirt and dripped down to the ground. The employees didn't have any cleaning towels for us to use and clean up the mess or my friend's clothes and her sticky arm. The whole clean up situation was just awkward...... we ended up using a BUNCH of napkins and got napkins wet from the bathroom to clean up. Overall, I don't think I will get another Pandan waffle here again, but I'll probably get a drink as take out.
