Have tried this place a couple of times. It has a nice interior for people who want social media pics. They also have a huge variety of beverages ranging from coffee to tea / milk tea and smoothies to some traditional Asian desserts and drinks. So everybody will have something they like. Makes for a good date spot too as it is located near sunnyvale downtown. Definitely recommend it and worth trying. read more

Pretty disappointed with my visit. I was expecting like my past experience a few years back. To my surprise, they don't even have a trashcan for customers. Though you do get your moneys worth. Not bad drink. It is after all more of a dessert than a drink. I will continually take my business here because of the quality of options they offer for dessert drinks. But they really need to put trashcan around the area so people can throw away their food or containers when they're done. With Vietnamese treats and icecream, cream and liquid sweets, Bambu takes the tea! I went with my standard boba, not brave enough to elect for the Vietnamese fruit filled drink, as some of my said experiments don't sit well with the ole taste buds. My tarot milk tea with boba was creamy sweetness with that punch of tarot that i appreciatebwith satisfying flavor. On offer is mochi icecream, but the menu is mostly tea and sweet drinks. Boba tastes below average, but not as bad though. It seems like that they put a lot too much syrup on it that I rarely tasted any milk. I like how it comes in different sizes because usually most boba places serve boba with tall cups. The place feels less lively and probably needs some reworks. It's like that they never replace bad and old material with better ones. Also the menu looks quite cartoony. Highly recommend this place to get renovated ASAP. There are better boba places around Downtown Sunnyvale you can look for. read more

I'm surprised at the wide assortment of desserts and sweets from here, from the Che, boba drinks, waffles, and so much more on the menu. I found the inside really cute and decorated nicely with the plants and florals. The back area with the floor seating and low tables were very pretty. We ordered a bunch of Che drinks, I got the #5 Smashed Avocado and my boyfriend got the #12 Taro Lover. Service was timely. The avocado flavor was great, but personally I enjoyed my boyfriend's Taro drink more than mine. For my personal preference, I wish that the #5 Smashed Avocado Che was milky and creamier. It pretty much just tasted like avocado chunks and ice, with only a bit of condensed milk. I understand traditionally that it uses condensed milk, but it would be nice if it also had evaporated milk or coconut milk in it. That's why I preferred the #12 Taro Lover. The actual Taro paste at the bottom of the drink paired so nicely with the coconut milk. When I come back in the future, I'd get any Che drink with taro and coconut milk because it was so lovely. read more

Cute little place with loootss on the menu. I chose Fruit Addict with 0% sweetness and it was perfect since the fruits had all the sugar I needed. This drink has jackfruit, coconut slices, pandan jelly, red tapioca jelly, longan, lychee and I'm pretty sure some other thing that I'm missing, haha! It was super refreshing and I'd definitely be back to try their other combinations. read more

My drinks were goopy and the toppings in the che were ROCK HARD. It was so bad! My mom was mixing her che and the consistency was like goo, with the colors giving off a swamp green vibe. She asked me if the drink was old, to which I told her: no? She did smell the drink a few times before taking a sip, and said the drink didn't taste bad, but it also did not taste good. She got the Bambu Favorite (#10). The red tapioca was hard as rocks, the grass jelly gave off a slime, the coconut milk felt gloppy??? (Lol, idk, it was a very strange mouth feel), and the pandan jelly was stale. Overall, a very disappointing experience. My mom and I got 4 drinks, and none of them tasted right. I ended up with the Coconut Combo (#11), but meant to get the Bambu Special (#1). I did not like the agar agar and the coconut juice just tasted bad. Like, it wasn't sweet and it had a strange aftertaste and mouthfeel. read more

4.3 star Love all sweet and dessert! This is a relative healthy dessert. It keeps you full and it felt like a meal! Best to eat these guilty foods on a hot day. I usually don't want what I want. So I have new items all the time and they are all good! Never have a bad dessert there. Today owner helps me order. Their machine order interface is not so friendly. read more

Tried this place today and had the bambu special. It was ok and not too sweet. This place is all automated and you order at the terminal and pay by card or phone. They bring out your order by number. It's looking like this is going to be more of the norm in the future. It was a pretty good drink but I don't know if I would go back. read more

I brought our volleyball team here for a post practice treat. There was only one worker who was working the register and making drinks, so overall service was slow and lacking. One of the girls ordered a pandan waffle, ended up finding a hair in it This place is such a prime location but definitely needs more improvements on service and cleanliness. read more

I had never had a drink from here and then one day a friend asked me to meet her there. Omg I can't believe how much I crave their drinks. The sweet coconut flavor is soooooo good. I now want to try the whole menu. It's clean and very streamlined. They are quite busy but very fast service. I like the mango milk tea and #6. The parking can be super tough here but that's not their fault. read more

Very sad we used to like the che here but got 2 cups tonight and the fruit one #6 didn't taste fresh. The red tapioca pieces felt super hard and stale and the coconut strips were pink or dotted. I had to spit out a piece of jackfruit cause it tasted strange. Not sure what is going on but whatever cost cutting methods they are employing whether it be holding onto ingredients longer than they should be or making it way ahead of time or freezing ingredients or whatever it might be it's ruining the quality of the product. We sadly won't be back because it's not cheap for a cup and of half of the ingredients are inedible or questionable then it's a complete waste. read more

Love that this location uses self-serve kiosks. Quick and convenient. The interior is pretty chill and you can easily hangout here with friends. They also have a study room in the back that you can rent with a TV. I ordered a pandan waffle here and I really disappointed. It was a soggy texture, chewy, dense, and hardly any pandan flavor. Wow, the Bambu Special is now over $7! Was at the Sunnyvale Farmer's Market when J decided he wanted Starbucks and I saw Bambu and opted for that instead. I walked in and no one was at the register. A guy came in before me and we were standing there until I asked him if he was going to put in his order since it appears it's self service and pay by card only. He put in his order, I put in mine and we both waited. I did like the efficiency of this process since it meant it wasn't one person taking orders and then making the drinks like at other Bambu locations. A lady came out with both of our drinks (both Specials) and our numbers flashed on a board as she called our our numbers. Normally I would give Bambu a 4.5-5 but this Bambu somehow managed to water down its drink before the ice even melted. It wasn't sweet even with the lychee and pandan. The young coconut was also surprisingly bland. Definitely not work $7 and I regretted not getting a Starbucks across the street, a chai from Philz Coffee or an Acai bowl from Vitality Bowls. read more

Not sure why Bambu has so many mixed reviews for this location. I've been here several times and service and smoothies have been on point. Truthfully, I'm a fruity smoothie or tea drinker, and have only had the mango and strawberry smoothie at this location. They have been a nice alternative to chain smoothie establishments and can tell that they really use fresh fruit in each. As I'm lactose intolerant, all of their drinks are dairy free! Hooray! The pandan waffle is hot and fresh and made to order. There are macarons and macaron ice cream sandwiches as well. Enter your cellphone upon check out and be added to their rewards program. I've already taken advantage of my free waffle, and they send text messages with any specials or promotions. I've only really seen one person working behind counter to take orders and make smoothies. She works efficiently as she can, and have seen her deal with some rude and inconsiderate customers. She's always been really helpful and friendly to me, and when she saw I had my hands full, she brought my order to where I was sitting. Go support bambu! Keep sharing the love friends! It must be the language barrier because I ordered #6. I asked to remove the coconut but keep coconut milk since you need coconut milk to keep the drink sweet. But it seemed she removed everything. So it was just the ingredients with a clump of ice. The ice melted down and it just tasted awful. Just jelly and sago with water. It was such a disappointment for $7. ugh! I wont be coming back here again. I also asked what red tapioca was and if she could show me what it looked like. She kept pointing to the menu and said "yea red, red", I shouldve just given up and left. I regret wasting my money here. I wish they wouldve at least had another cashier there would translate or understand english to help with these language barrier issues. Not great. read more

Oh Bambu, how I love you! I have been a fan for over a decade now, through all the different management and slightly varied menu. Thankfully this place has never waivered on quality and freshness of ingredients. It's a bummer how much prices have gone up, but that's par for living in the Bay Area these days. My go-to has more or less been the drink that is now called the Summer Delight- red tapioca, mung bean, coconut milk, jello (not sure what this jello is, but seems agar based), grass jelly & pandan jelly. It's such an awesome treat to have on a hot day. It's really easy for me to get addicted to these since it seems pretty light with all the ice. I will often go back again later in the week after having one. For those who are indecisive, you can also build your own! They're super flexible! read more

We felt they had this premade for a while in the fridge. Noticing something odd when chewing the green stuff, it's very tough and chewy. The jackfruit looks almost transparent (like it how it's been thaw out) not fresh, not crunchy. I hope it's not from the can jackfruit jar. We told the girl and she said ok and left. Never had experience this with other bambu places. Need to reconsider this place because they might be serving old stuff. First and last time I will come here sunnyvale location. read more

Chè in downtown Sunnyvale! This location is very generous with the toppings, but Bambu's coconut milk is kind of thin and bland. My wife wishes the coconut milk was better, but the toppings are so good and plentiful, that it mostly balances out after mixing. read more

Bambu Sunnyvale is newly renovated (almost done except the back area) The new vibe is cute with the flowers Personally I love the new different seating style options. As someone who likes to stand one second then sit the next second, I love how there are different types of seating choices. The lady who took my order was very sweet and friendly. She noticed that I was looking for the WiFi and gave me the WiFi password before I could even ask her. If you love avocados as much as I do then I would suggest the #5 Bo Dam drink which consists of avocado, boba pearls, and jelly pieces. Personally, I love Bambu's boba pearls more than the other boba place across the street. After trying drinks from both places, I will always choose Bambu hands down read more

I ordered 7 drinks for my family and there was only one worker there. In no way at all did she make me feel of inconvenience and she made our drinks as fast as she could!! When we entered there was no one there they were in the back making drinks. So we had to order through the kiosk and when your order is ready they call it out. The space is pretty big with cute sign, there is an office room in the back area with a table and chairs and that's were we sat in. OMG !!! I have gone to a few different Bambu locations and never saw this one in the menu, they had a halo halo drink #16 so of course had to order that and it was really yummy perfect for that hot weather to cool us down. Also ordered the classic #10 and pandan waffle to munch on. Will have to come back here again when I'm in the area. read more

What an awesome Bambu location! Came for their free pandan waffle promotion, but stayed in their free conference room. The GOOD: - Parking - they have plenty of free 3-hour parking nearby in a lot - Lots of seating and are a lot more spacious than other Bambu i've been to in the bay. - ^ you can even rent out their conference room if you leave your ID with their staff - Drinks are consistently delicious as you would expect from a Bambu - Sweet cashier/ waitress who brings the drinks out to you with a smile :) The MEH: - Is it just me or is this location like 50 cents more pricey than other locations? Or is this consistent among all the Bambu in the Bay if it's the latter, then ignore my comment lol. read more

Although they recommend 70%, I actually prefer 30% sweetness, less ice. Truly brings out the tea flavor. This location had a new drink Camellia during the LNY. However, I have not seen it on the menu since March. Hopefully they'll bring it back. They now have order online via their website (chowbus), and I recently learned that they have an app. This makes ordering drinks at this location easy since it is located in corner strip mall with minimal parking.

It's definitely known more for and there's a hype around the merchandise, the drinks are good quality ingredients, but taste OK and a bit pricey as well.

However, during my last few visits, I noticed that the drink had started turning yellow instead of green, and the taste clearly seemed less fresh. Today I ordered it again, it was turning yellow and tasted not fresh, It makes me wonder if it was prepared in the morning and left sitting until around 3 PM. I hope the manager can pay more attention to freshness and preparation times, because this used to be one of my favorite healthy drinks. I would really appreciate it if they could maintain the same fresh quality as before.

The peanuts give it a nutty flavor profile with the roasted green tea and black sesame adding an additional nutty, smoky, earthiness. I love! The drink is creamy, rich, nutty and perfect. Regular no more. Review from multiple visits in the couple months, disappointed to say the least. Come around the morning before lunch time rush. Some of the regular staff is gone including the pregnant owner and they were the ones who knew how to make a drink, were always friendly and made you feel welcome. When I told the cashier, tall very skinny Asian girl about how bad my drink was, she gave me some attitude and then went to fix it. When I got it bad, it was worse than before. I ended up throwing it away, it wasn't worth any more grief and crap service which isn't the first time from this girl. De Anza and Cupertino locations are fairly close by, will detour just to go there because they are nicer and have good drinks. Also, De Anza and Cupertino gave me and my friends punch cards when we visited that it says is good for all three locations but when we came over here, they would not honor even though their name is on the card. WTF!! There is something screwy with this location. This Vietnamese guy claimed to be the owner and was talking crap about Cupertino location to the customers in front of me. I think all the locations are franchises but talking crap about another location is bad for all Bambus. So slow service, bad drinks, and crap talking staff makes me take my business elsewhere. An area worth visiting for sweet tooth foodies! Not only it's something different, they also offer many unique concoctions of rainbow-colored drinks that are surprisingly refreshing and ridiculously delicious :) My favorite picks from Bambu are #6 and #10 (both with a coconut milk base)! For #10, I love the texture of these drinks from the wobbly and squishy pandan jellies to the firmer grass jellies. Mix all that with crunchy red tapioca and it tastes amazing!! If you prefer additional fruits in your cup, #6 has jack fruit, lychee, longan, long strips of coconut and palm seeds. I personally like this better than the rest since it has everything! Plus, having all the fruits just make it that much more refreshing. The drinks are quite affordable ($5.xx) and so worth it considering it was a filling dessert that leaves my belly full! On the weekends, this place can get quite busy, but thankfully the service was quick and friendly. Not the most hippest dessert place you can think of in term of ambiance, but their drinks are so worth it ~ you'll fall in love! read more

I'd give it 4 stars for the cleanliness and friendly customer service but I'm reviewing the establishment for their product and I am sorry to say it wasn't that great like what I expected. I have been to Bambu before at other locations so I already have an expectation of what I should taste and this drink was sadly water downed. The coconut milk you could tell was diluted with water and the panda jelly was tasteless too. Usually when you see the jelly it's green with little tiny specs but the ones in my drink were almost clear jelly. Ate with friends next door, we wanted some desserts so we stopped by over the weekend during the Sunnyvale Wine and Art Festival. There were two tall girls working. The girl with longer hair was nice but the other one who was skinnier was snide. Too long to get drinks, we waited over 30 minutes for 3 drinks. One tea, smoothie and dessert drink. All drinks were okay but the avocado dessert drink was not what I expected. I expected it to be creamy but it wasn't. Subpar service, wait time long, and okay drinks. I tried out this Bambu location and I got my favorite drink the #1 dessert and it was great. The coconut juice was amazing and fresh just the way I like it! The panda jelly was good and the overall atmosphere in this store was very nice especially with all of the nice lounging areas to sit. What was also unique about this Bambu store is that it had a nice conference room in the back can be used by anyone. My experience at this Bambu location was great from the service, to the quality of the drink and the nice atmosphere in the store. I will definitely be going back. read more

Yay another location to fuel my guilty pleasure. This location is more spacious and modern compared to other locations. It even has a private conference room which I thought was pretty neat. The prices here are higher than others but I can't imagine the rent being cheap here. I got my favorite, the Che bo dam, a mix of avocado and jellies. This review is for drink #24 basil seed and grass jelly. First of all, that was all I got with ice on top. How would this make a drink if there is no flavor or some kind of juice in it? Came back and told the cashier, she added some fluid to the cup. I took a sip, all I could taste was the liquified sugar. Way too sweet. That was my first time at this place. Quick service, you can do the self order by yourself on the self order kiosk without waiting for cashier if you pay by credit card. If you want to pay cash, you have to ring bell so the cashier to help with the cash payment. The drinks are delicious and refreshing with a lot choices. Service has changed big time over the last couple months. The staff is less friendly, constantly runs out of product, drinks lack quality or taste, and abnormally long wait. It's just drinks, why do I have to wait over 15 minutes? They even have pastries and run out of that. I've been in this place many times. I really like their Thai milk tea. The flavor for the Thai tea is strong compared to other boba places. Their service is quick even if they have a lot of customers. I never waiting more than 10 minutes. They have Che too. The price is reasonable. My only comment is it's hard to find a parking. What else is there to say? It's a bit sweeter than I personally prefer, but not hugely sweet. The taro smoothie (pictured with my own steel straw, which I prefer) tastes like it's made from the standard mix that Chinese boba shops use, and the ice is appropriately fine-grained. My friend's red guava tea was very good -- honestly I preferred it to the taro drink I chose, and to the last red guava drink I had which tasted a bit chemical, which this did not! But the best drink of all was the mango frozen slushie sample we were offered -- next time! I will happily come again the next time I pass by. It's only 15-20 min away, meaning there's a couple dozen shops closer to me. But this is a fine shop run by very welcoming people. Stop by if you're close!

It's awesome that they have a wide selection of unique fruit-flavored boba that's hard to find anywhere else in the Bay Area, giving every drink a fun and refreshing twist. My family also got different drinks too. Kiosk is pretty straightforward. Zero human interaction. Since the inside is tiny I waited outside. Our family had several orders so I went in to ask for the ones that were ready. I came back to grab another drink and checked back on my drink that I saw on the table but no one came up to me after they handed me my first couple drinks even though I had asked for an update and could see the drink on the table. After several minutes and getting drinks for other customers I got their attention and got my drink. Matcha was fine. Same flavor as the first time I had it. No space inside to enjoy their drinks but plenty outside in the blocked off street. Service could have been more attentive. 3 people and it was super busy with customers coming and going. Zero interactions with anyone while ordering since kiosks are available. Hoping for a more efficient experience if I visit again.
