I love coming to Pekoe with my friends late at night. The service is always friendly, and the people are kind. Pekoe has unique drink flavor names and combinations. The star that is deducted is for the drinks themselves. For someone who enjoys boba, Pekoe drinks don't have an authentic tea flavor but are rather a combination of a lot of flavors/syrups. The main issue with the drinks is that they are extremely sweet. There is only a 100%, 50%, or 0% option for sweetness, and 50% is often pretty sweet. Because of that, I have opted to get 0% sweetness, which isn't sweet enough. I really hope they bring in a 25% option in the future! If you're looking for a late-night excursion in the Bay Area (where everything is usually closed by 9), I highly recommend Pekoe! read more

The drinks I've gotten here are decent. However, I'm taking off stars because of their group order experience. A group of ~30 of us ordered via DoorDash last week. After going through the entire group order process Pekoe cancelled our order! This is AFTER everyone placed and finalize their orders. It was so disappointing and left us with no other options given the time of day. This really comes down to simple employee training as I've seen the merchant side of the DoorDash experience. If you are too busy or just don't want orders of this size, you can stop taking DoorDash orders completely or implement order limits. There is NO reason why you need to cancel a group order. To cancel a large group order after it's been placed it such a terrible experience, and we've added Pekoe to our list of places we're not ordering from in the future. read more

I had heard and seen photos of the other location and always wanted to go. When we arrived around 9:45 pm on a Saturday night, though, it was weirdly empty. Maybe because the rest of the plaza closes before then? It's great that they've got lots of specialty drink options but I don't think they've got any other milk options; we weren't able to substitute since they said it's premade. We got the foxy brown and pekoe special. The drinks were pretty sweet even after lowering sweetness. Overall the flavors were also meh. I didn't finish my drink because I wasn't a huge fan. Cute modern interior decorated with club/lounge vibes. There's a giant TV covering almost the entirety of one of the walls. They had a fair amount of drink choices, ranging from milk teas to fruit teas and smoothies. No snacks, just drinks only. They have some fun drink names, but are ultimately pretty common flavors (earl grey, thai tea, oolong, etc). The oolong (let's get high) and earl grey (pekoe special) were both solid flavors but super sweet even at half sugar (wish they had a 25% option). The grass jelly felt a bit missing in the oolong (didn't get much of it) and the coffee jelly was pretty decent. The honey boba in the pekoe special was overcooked and had lost its chew factor. All in all, the staff was really nice and patient. There were not many people in here despite it being mid-day on the weekend and there's plenty of parking in the shared lot, but the drinks didn't stand out and wouldn't be my first choice for milk tea. read more
