Negative stars. The WORST MATCHA I have ever had!!!!!! They remade the 1st matcha drink because it was completely unpalatable..the matcha was so so bitter and in clumps not even blended properly. The flavor of pandan did not in any way help enhance the drink...when they remade the second drink which took 1 min...(should have been a red flag already)..it was not any better. Really really disgusting. Hubby usually will try and finish something I don't care to finish...he absolutely could not with this one. I Wasted 8 bucks n sum. I make my own ceremonial grade matcha daily and this.. was not ceremonial grade!! Stopped by here after having lunch at Dave's hot chicken. This was our first time here. It's a cute tea shop with inside seating. It is small inside. Since it wasn't too busy we sat inside to have our teas. You order at the kiosk and they call your name out when your order is ready. We ordered the watermelon heaven which was delicious and refreshing. It was like a watermelon icee with big chunks of fresh watermelon in it. We also tried the peach me sweet tea. Tastea drinks are always reliable, delicious, and refreshing on hot days! My favorites are the earl grey milk tea, matcha thai milk tea, and taro milk tea. My boyfriend often says their strawberry banana smoothie is the best. This location, in particular, only ever has popcorn chicken and fries on the menu. They also seem to run out of food quickly. The Berryessa San Jose location is the best and has more food on their menu, such as potato balls and the chicken rice bowl, both of which I really enjoy. read more

First time here and was very excited to try their Pandan Milk Tea with grass jelly and honey boba. They did not disappoint. The drink had a nice milky pandan flavor and the green colored honey boba had a nice sweet chewy texture. The few changes I would make in the next order would be to add extra ice (there was very little ice) and adjusting the sweetness to 25 percent instead of 50 percent (it was still a bit too sweet for my taste). It's been a hot second since I've had the karate chicken and I was so stoked to finally see that the Sunnyvale location offers their good eats here! For the longest time, Tastea's portion and seasoning for their popcorn chicken has been at the top of my picks ever since their location opened in Berryessa but after my recent visit I now have doubts. The portion for their large was what could be considered small or regular to their past portion was quite shocking for the price. Before, it'd be easy to share a large between 2-3 people, but their new large can easily devoured by 1. The seasoning was just as I remembered but light, and the breading on the chicken was lacking along with the chicken itself being on the dry side. I really wish they had other snacks available when I visited, but in the meantime it may take some time before I'd revisit to give the snacks a try again. read more

It's just like picking out the best watermelon in the grocery store. I order on the Tastea app, send a kid or pick it up myself. 3 points per dollar on the app, 450 pts for a free 20 oz drink or 575 for any free drink, 32 oz. That's a free drink after spending $150 but better than not getting a free drink. Drinks are usually ready on time. I normally step in 4 feet to the takeout window. I think it's too squishy to relax inside. Outdoor seating is great on a nice day. read more

4 stars but definitely a little disappointed. It is tucked in a very busy plaza and has very limited seating. When you head in, you head straight down to either a cashier or the self serve machines. Menu is extensive like always. You can grab some karate chicken if you are looking for a savory snack. What really disappointed me is that our order was wrong and we did not realize it until we left. My absolute favorite fruit teas and boba drinks. Watermelon Heaven with Lychee Jelly was perfect for the long, hot drive back home after a weekend of baseball. So refreshing. My usual go to is the Lychee Peachy with Honey Boba when watermelon isn't in season. You really can't go wrong with any of their drinks. Have never had a complaint from the family about any of their choices. Karate Chicken is a great little snack to go with the drinks. The portion might be on the small side for $14. Your typical boba place, I do have to say that their large cup is pretty decently sized if you want to get your money worth go for lite ice so you can get more drink then ice. I always need popcorn chicken whenever I have milk tea it's a thing so if the place has popcorn chicken it already gets a plus one. If not then I probably wouldn't go there. I came in to use up a reward and got their Matcha with Boba. I always love their Boba texture since it's so soft and chewy. It seems to be standard batching for the boba since I don't think I've ever had a bad batch. I appreciate that they have options for no ice and to be specific with topping off with milk or keeping it how it is because the flavor will change. With the all the different boba shops in the area, I always find myself going back to Tastea. The drinks are consistently made and not to mention refreshing. Their service is fairly quick whether you order online or go in the store. I don't think I've waited more than 5 minutes. There's a parking lot in the plaza. It gets busy but I can always find a spot. If you go in the store, you can order off the machine. There are a couple of seats inside but lots of seating outside in the courtyard. I'm a huge fan of their fruit teas. Their boba is some of my favorite and I like how there are fruit bits as well. The fruit teas are on the sweeter side so decrease the sugar as needed. The jelly was pretty gross in my opinion, I hated how the texture was inconsistent and some of the pieces had some plasticy thing on it which I'm not sure what it was and I spit it out.
