Vermicelli was a 3.5 as it was fresh and a good serving (4) but the grilled pork was on the cooler side and didn't taste as crisp and fresh off the grill as you'd expect (3). Best part of the pho was the broth as it wasn't too salty like it can be sometimes elsewhere (4). Veggies were super fresh. Sliced beef was previously sliced and the whole chunk was placed in so you had to tease apart the slices from each other which was a little different than my experiences elsewhere. SKIP THE SPRING ROLLS. Picture had three shrimps/roll. Ours had 1/roll on one side with a slice of pork (I think) on the other. Seemed pretty skimpy if you ask me (2.5 at best). Service was good (4). Location was in a small strip mall with a Mexican and Indian place next door. The bars over nearly the entire front storefront were definitely interesting. For an out-of-towner, this part of Kent seems like a Santa Ana/Westminister/Garden Grove of OC, CA kind of an area with different ethnic offerings up and down the street.

Egg rolls were excellent and the fried rice was a favorite for my 10 year old. My 12 year old sampled and loved every dish equally. The owner was exceptional and waited on us like a one-man show he was warm and friendly us and our kids. The wait wasn't long, but he surprised our kids with chocolate after dinner for waiting patiently and smiled and joked with everyone in the restaurant and he moved around the restaurant. The restaurant itself isn't anything too exception in terms of looks or presentation, but the food and family feeling to it has definitely earned the respect of locals getting take out. We'll add it to the list of great places to stop.

When i came in there was 4 people in line the cashier was taking her time talking to the customers 5 minutes later it's my turn to order and she walks away and started heading over to this one table to talk to her b/f! I could not believe it but it happen. Im just looking at her and she's just talking to him. Some other lady came out and helped me order. I order the #1 and a Vietnamese Coffee I got the drinks pretty quickly and they were good. You wont find anywhere in Wa state that has these drinks. The portions are small and the ice on top is weird but when you get to the good stuff below all the ice it's to die for. I wish when i came in I was better served I couldn't believe the worker there left the counter to talk to her b/f I wonder how does she keep her job. I hope if i go back next time I wont be seeing her. Overall I would recommend it because you cant go anywhere else to get it if you could than I would not put up with the poor service. read more

Bambu has a variety of drinks. Upon ordering the staff was very helpful In explaining the menu. I ended up ordering the Bambu special, my son order the chi milk tea. After getting my order. My son realized he order the wrong one. The staff exchanged it no question asked... the special was delicious and that will be my favorite drink from now on. The atmosphere was great.
