Came here during a weekday and it was not too busy. I wanted to see what the fuss was all about. Note* I live in Seattle, so it was a drive to get to this place. I ordered the Bambu special and the combination. My husband ordered the strawberry, banana smoothie and he said it was okay. I had the Chè thp cm (combination) to go and they pack up shaved ice on the side for me to have it later. which was nice. The only special thing about the Bambu special was the pandan jelly, other then that it seem like all canned products. I had the Chè thp cm (combination) a day later and it was good but it probably would have been better if I had it when I bought it. I honestly don't understand why people are giving such low reviews. This place is great! The customer service is AMAZING. The desserts normally come out faster than the drinks do. But they both come out fast. The employees are all cute & sweet. They're always willing to fix your drink for you if you aren't satisfied. There is a variety of options!!! You can choose between milk tea, FRESH fruit smoothies, BLENDED| HOT| ICED coffee, or healthy desserts. I have to try them all. They also have plenty of things you can add to your drinks! There's boba, jellies, fruits, beans, basil seeds, almost anything on their menu can be an add-on. Don't get the bubble tea mixed up guys! They have milk or smoothie bubble tea. Bubble Tea Review L O C A T I O N Came here on a Sunday because I was craving some bubble tea. This place is located inside the Great Wall shopping center. Parking is fine with additional parking in the back. D R I N K S I usually get the original yogurt with fruit and Che but got the Jasmine milk tea and Mint Green milk tea instead. I got regular sizes for both of them and added boba (extra .50 cents each). The boba was disappointing. It was under cooked and chewy. The Jasmine milk tea was alright and the Mint Green milk tea was lacking in any minty flavor. If you gave this to a person they probably thought it was regular milk tea. S E R V I C E The cashier guy looked like he hated his job and didn't want to be there. The place was neat and tidy with some tables and places to sit. O V E R A L L Next time I should should get Che because that's what Bambu is known for and they're delicious! Bubble tea not so much. Also if you're paying with card and your total is less than $10 they'll charge an extra .50 Cents. So buy three bubble tea drinks or 2 Che desserts to avoid the .50 cent charge. read more

I've been there about 5 times in the past week, and their service is consistently friendly and welcoming. But they've done something above and beyond for me, which is why they deserve a 5 stars. Last Friday, 6/28, at around 9:45 at night, after seeing a ridiculously long line (about an entire girl's soccer team) at an icecream place by Southcenter, we were left, still hungry and craving something cold & delicious. I came on yelp, checking for their operation hours, and notice that bambu was closed 10 minutes before. Yet, my husband encouraged me to call and check. Indeed, they were close. BUT they proceed to ask us how far we were from their shop, (7-10minutes), and that they were going to wait for us. There was NO WAY they knew we were going to order 6 drinks($$), but yet they still stayed open for us. I didnt get there till 9:58 (had to get cash), but they were so happy and cheerful. The guy that seem like he is the manager was so amazingly wonderful, he kept on thanking me, over & over. They definitely earned my business for a long time to come. read more

I have been to many boba tea locations and they have not made anything better than drinks in this shop. My favorites include their taro and taro coconut smoothies. At this place you can customize the sweetness of the drinks. I usually prefer 50% as I don't like sugary drinks as much. Bambū's Che are delicious as well. My parents and sister have also tried their other beverages/desserts and are very satisfied with their customer service as well. I love this place, it's my favorite boba tea shop ever. read more

The first time I had Che ba mau was when my bf's mom bought it for me at a random stand at an Asian mall in California..I had no idea this beautifully crafted drink even existed until then lol I was STOKED when I found out there was an actual place back home that sold them!!! I've tried #6 I think too which is good but I wasn't a fan of the jackfruit but I did like the red beans they add in there! This place is smaller, with less tables, and less attendants to serve you. I ordered the Bambu special which had lychees, coconut, and red beans. It's as good as the drink I remember but there was so much ice that I felt the edible content was not enough. Maybe it's me. I've found my go-to order: Che #2. I've tried a few kinds of che here at least, and I definitely prefer the coconut milk options over coconut juice for the creaminess. Line can get long, but I find it moves fairly quickly. At most we've waited maybe 5 minutes because they had so many orders ahead of us that time. But I don't mind to wait that amount of time for some creamy, sweet goodness. It's dangerous that I live so close to this place... it's hard to not to order from here at least once a week! We're no strangers to Bambu, having one here in Irvine. I've had to cut back because it can get pricey and probably isn't a good idea to be having so many sweets. But this place is always hard to resist no matter the location. Portions at this one are smaller (I think the cup sizes are a tad smaller) but the pricing might be slightly less. Aside from that though, the Pandan jelly at the one here in Irvine is always spot on. I didn't like it very much at the Kent location - it wasn't very chewy and a little too soft. Went to Seattle to visit my cousins and my cousin always kept telling me about these "smoothies" she would get that used coconut water or coconut milk and the base for their drinks. This particular Bambu was located inside of a plaza. I ordered the Bambu Special, which has the fresh coconut, lychee, green jelly and basil seeds. It was sooo delicious. It's kind of a meal in itself because after I was finished, I was very full! I'm so happy they accept card payments now. It was a hassle getting cash before going there. I guess since it's still fairly new the lines are still long but they're pretty good at trying to get your drinks out quickly. I've only tried 3 different ones since they opened but that's because I found my favorite one. I love love love the Bambu Special. I like the taste of the coconut juice more than the coconut milk. I like everything in the special except for the longan so I always order without it. The give you more pandan jelly which is a plus because it's super yummy. The dessert #6 is really good too. This one would be my second favorite there. I also had the dessert #24 which is grass jelly and basil seed. They put some sweetener but they don't put enough. It doesn't have any kind of flavor when you're drinking it..I don't recommend the #24 at all. I even saw a stroller being brought in. The place isn't that big to begin with. Surprisingly the line went by super quick and the wait wasn't that long. It was crowded and noisy as can be however. They also serve bubble tea and have a wide variety of desserts and drinks. They're located conveniently in the market which is a plus. I ordered their BAMBU special, Coconut, Panda Jelly, Logan and Basil seed. Looked good but was very bland to the taste. I've had their Che 3 mau as well, Red bean, white bean, green/mung bean, taro, pandan jelly, which was a lot tastier than their special. I wouldn't say it's the best I've had but it was tasteful. I've been to Bambu multiple times and have been extremely satisfied at my other visits. However, when I went there today I was curious about their milk teas (I normally get the desserts). I asked the woman at the counter if they could come hot, she replied yes. I asked her what kind of milk came in it, she was unsure and went to the back to ask. That was totally fine, I think she was new and she needed help. Then I ask if there are any milk alternatives because I'm lactose intolerant, she was unsure and then said that "the people in the back don't tell me what's in the drinks. I'm not supposed to know". I was astonished. If that's true, how can anyone run a business like that? I used to come here all the time and what she said right then and there made me never want to come back. Ever since I've discovered Bambu I can't help but go to this place at least once a week usually on Monday or sometimes weekends since they are not that busy on monday.I love love their original yogurt and the #3. Those are BOMB!!! I always hesitate from trying something new that's why I used to stick to the #3 Che but I decided to try a new drink thanks to the cashier, she recommended me the yogurt which I got obsessed with.i think it's their best seller too so definitely should give it a try if u haven't. Also the employer that brought out my drinks always ask if I need a drink carrier and she gives you the straws and spoons too so you don't have to grab it.The customer service is just on point.I will recommend Bambu if you're craving something refreshing and tasty. I was surprised how big the kitchen looked for a place that makes cupped desserts, maybe more for storage. I always get #10 because I like the jelly stuff. This place is located in the Great Mall Asian shopping centre and is CASH ONLY! (For now anyway.) The Che (dessert) was fresh and not too sweet. They have quite a few of items on their menu though, which range from smoothie to boba tea to "vietnamese desserts". Been here quite a few times and they are usually very busy especially during weekends. I usually get number 1 and 6 from the desserts menu. Have never tried their smoothie or boba tea so not sure how good it is. Their drinks can be pretty sweet, but you can ask them to make it less sweet. Drinks come out fairly quickly. Also goes for their hot black milk tea. I usually like my toppings with mini boba. As for dessert, I had their #1 and #4. The #1 can be a bit too sweet, definitely need that add on ice to dilute it a bit. It wasnt too impressive for me. Their #4 had so much toppings, it took away from the actual drink of it. I felt like all I did was eat all the jelly stuff that they had in there, it can be tiring to chew.
