As a long-time customer of Bambu, I've always loved their Number 1 Special for its perfect blend of longan, coconut meat, pandan jelly, basil seeds, and coconut water. It's a refreshing and delicious drink that's perfect for beating the heat on a hot summer day. However, I was disappointed during my most recent visit to Bambu to find that the portion of fruit in the drink was no longer as generous as it used to be and they went down a size yet still charges almost twice as much than before. While the drink still tasted good, I felt like I was getting less value for my money. I understand that the cost of ingredients and other factors may have played a role in the change in portion size, and I hope that they'll find a way to bring back the more generous portions that I've come to love. One thing that has always impressed me about Bambu is their fast and efficient service. Every time I visit, I'm amazed at how quickly they're able to take my order and prepare my drink. Overall, Bambu is still a great spot for anyone looking to enjoy a refreshing fruit drink. While I was a bit disappointed with the smaller portion of fruit in my drink, I still enjoyed the flavors and appreciate Bambu's efforts to provide tasty drinks to their customers. read more

I was really having forward to trying Bambu Dessert, but my experience left me pretty disappointed. The desserts themselves were decent, but what really threw me off was the automatic 20% service charge. This is a to-go place, so I was confused as to why I was being charged a service fee for something I picked up myself. It just didn't make sense, especially when I wasn't dining in or getting any table service. I understand tipping for great service, but an automatic 20% charge for takeout feels excessive and unfair. The desserts are already on the pricier side, so this unexpected fee really took away from the experience. Unfortunately, it left me feeling more frustrated than satisfied. Not sure if I'll be back anytime soon unless they reconsider that policy. read more

I usually enjoy getting a drink from Bambu whenever I see one -- it's a Vietnamese classic that I genuinely like. But this time was a letdown. I ordered Combo #2, which came with taro, red beans, white beans, and other toppings I normally love. While the ingredients were plentiful, the cup felt too small, and there wasn't enough liquid to mix everything well. It ended up being way too thick and hard to drink. The biggest issue for me was the sweetness. I didn't add extra sugar, but it was still overpoweringly sweet. I wish there were an option to choose the sugar level like other drink shops offer. I had a fantastic experience at this spot! The friendly staff made the visit even more enjoyable, and the drinks were bursting with flavor. The atmosphere was perfect for hanging out with friends, creating a relaxed and welcoming environment.
